MLB Strikeout Props Notes

Erick Fedde (SP – WAS) Under 4.5 K: Fedde has fallen Under 4.5 strikeouts in each of his last three starts, posting just five strikeouts across 11.2 innings in that span.

Bruce Zimmermann (SP – BAL) Over 3.5 K: Toronto is hardly a good matchup for Zimmermann, but notching four strikeouts is a low bar for him to cross. The Baltimore lefty topped this number in six straight starts to begin the season but has only recorded four-plus strikeouts in one of his last five. Which version will show up tonight?

Zac Gallen (SP – ARI) Over 5.5 K: Gallen is facing a Cincinnati team that has a higher than average strikeout rate. He’s averaging nearly a strikeout per inning this season, which makes a plus-money Over enticing.

Roansy Contreras (SP – PIT) Over 4.5 K: Contreras has beaten this number in five of his last six starts. He doesn’t pitch many innings, but the strikeout rate is robust.

Corbin Burns (SP – MIL) Over 6.5 K: Burns has racked up eight-plus strikeouts in eight of his last 11 starts. That includes 25 strikeouts in 15 innings across his last three games.

Top HR Props Notes

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B – TOR): Baltimore LHP Zimmermann (2.09 HR/9) is a perfect matchup for Vlad Jr. to launch one.

Rafael Devers (3B – BOS): Devers has homered in two straight games, and now he’s facing Oakland RHP James Kaprielian, who has a 2.13 HR/9 split to left-handed bats.

Santiago Espinal (2B – TOR): Looking for a longshot? This is your guy. Espinal has some pop, smacking three homers in the first week of June. He’ll look to take advantage of Zimmerman, just like his teammate Guerrero.

Austin Riley (3B – ATL): Riley is a beast with four homers in 12 games this month. The matchup looks great against Washington RHP Fedde, who has a 1.50 HR/9 rate in his career.

Adam Duvall (OF – ATL): Duvall has two homers in 15 at-bats against Fedde, and he has found a nice groove with four homers in his last eight games.
