AC Milan vs. Inter Milan Predictions
AC Milan is on a nice roll at the moment, ever since beating eventual Serie A Champion, Napoli, on the road 4-0 on April 2. That set off a nine-match unbeaten streak that is currently alive. Along the way, AC Milan was able to outlast Napoli in the Champions League (2-1 aggregate) to reach the semifinals.
They’ll face rival Inter Milan, which currently holds a six-match unbeaten streak. Although the resume in that stretch isn’t nearly as impressive as AC Milan’s recent success, it includes wins over Juventus and Lazio — both of which sit above each club in the Serie A table.
As you can see above, Inter has gotten the best of AC Milan in recent matches. Although the Rossoneri claimed the first meeting between the sides in Serie A competition this year, Inter won both matches in 2023 by a combined score of 4-0.
However, AC Milan was going through a rough stretch at the time, losing to Lazio and Sassuolo by more than three goals each in late January. It’s safe to say that the current version of the Red and Black is in much better form than those two scoreless drubbings.
Still, there isn’t much separating these two sides that are very familiar with each other. Both teams have drawn in two of their last three Champions League outings. That could be the result on Wednesday, setting up a drama-filled second leg next week.
