NASCAR’s Speedweek culminates with one of the greatest races on the motorsports calendar: the Daytona 500. The race is scheduled for 2:30 pm ET on Sunday, Feb. 19 while airing on FOX. Ahead of the event, we’ve checked the odds and scrounged through all the available prop bets at DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are our top Daytona 500 predictions and props to bet.

Daytona 500 Prediction: Race Winner

Hendrick Motorsports-Chevrolet’s Kyle Larson is among four drivers listed at +1100 who are favored to win the Daytona 500. Larson, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Champion, won the pole position for the 2022 Daytona 500 but fell out of contention, ultimately finishing 32nd.

Larson’s teammate Chase Elliott, Penske-Ford’s Ryan Blaney, and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin are the other drivers listed at +1100. Hamlin is the other driver to consider to win the Daytona 500 and will be in one of our prop bet selections.

Larson is among the preseason betting favorites to win the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, improving on his seventh-place finish in 2022. We’re taking Larson to start his season with a win at Daytona. It helps that he qualified to start on the front row

Daytona 500 Prediction: Longshot Winner

While we won’t waste your time with not-happening but wildly fun long shots like Travis Pastrana (+15000), we will pick a long shot with relatively distant odds who might win. Team Penske-Ford’s Austin Cindric won the 2022 Daytona 500 as a rookie, so why can’t a rookie win for the second year in a row?

2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion and Joe Gibbs Racing-Toyota’s Ty Gibbs (+4000) is our long shot to win the 2023 Daytona 500. Gibbs has the potential and the ride to win Cup Series races and could emerge from the pack as the second consecutive rookie to win the Daytona 500.

If drivers over +3000 odds are too high for you, we like Hendrick Motorsports-Chevrolet’s Alex Bowman (+2500) and Trackhouse Racing-Chevrolet’s Daniel Suárez (+2800) as long shots that could also win on Sunday.

Top Daytona 500 Prop Bets

Chevrolet As Winning Car Manufacturer (+100)

There are only three manufacturers in NASCAR: Ford, Toyota, and Chevrolet. Our first Daytona 500 prop bet recommendation is to select the winning manufacturer. The winning manufacturer betting lines have Chevrolet listed at even odds, Ford at +160, and Toyota at +350.

Many betting favorites to win the Daytona 500 are in Chevrolet rides: Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and William Byron; Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch; and Trackhouse Racing Team’s Ross Chastain and Daniel Suárez.

The 2022 Daytona 500 was won by Austin Cindric for Team Penske. The 2022 NASCAR CUP Champion Joey Logano and betting favorite Ryan Blaney headline the Ford contingent in the field, alongside Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick and RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher – the winners of the two 2022 Duels at Daytona.

Only two teams use Toyota machinery, but four drivers could win Daytona in a Toyota ride. 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace joins Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr., and Christopher Bell as potential winners of the Daytona 500 in a Toyota ride.

However, when you look over the odds for each driver, more Chevrolet drivers are at the sharp ends of the odds. We’re taking Chevrolet as the winning manufacturer. However, we could lean toward Ford and maybe even Toyota if we see something that changes our mind in qualifying and the Duels at Daytona.

Yes, A Driver Will Win 2+ Stages At Daytona (+185)

Our second prop bet recommendation has nothing to do with form and everything to do with our gut feeling. The second prop bet line to play is any driver to win 2+ stages of the Daytona 500.

Martin Truex Jr. won the first two stages of the 2022 Daytona 500. Denny Hamlin won the first two stages in 2021. Hamlin won the second and final stage in 2020. Three separate drivers won stages in 2018 and 2019.

With a driver having won two of the stages in the last three Daytona 500 races, we’re going to take Yes; a driver will win 2+ stages at Daytona at +185 odds. For those who want to bet the other way, No is listed at -280.

Larson or Hamlin Combo Line (+400)

Our final Daytona 500 prediction comes in the form of a combo line. We wavered between making a top five or top ten prop bet wagers, but we’ll leave you to explore those options.

There are special combo betting lines out there that have two drivers combined into one betting line. You win if either driver in the betting line wins the Daytona 500. Many betting favorites like Larson, Elliott, Hamlin, Blaney, Logano, and Wallace are featured in various combinations.

We like the Kyle Larson or Chase Elliott combo and the Kyle Larson or Denny Hamlin combo lines, both listed at +400. Many NASCAR fans will be excited by the Ryan Blaney or Denny Hamlin line at +500, considering how high Blaney’s Daytona and futures odds are.

The Chase Elliott or Bubba Wallace line is a sleeper pick at +550. Wallace finished second last season, while Elliott is overdue to win his first Daytona 500.

However, we can only make one combo pick, and since we’re taking Larson to win the Daytona 500 and Chevrolet to be the winning manufacturer, we should take the all-Hendrick Motorsports combo line of Larson or Elliott at +400.

But we’re not going to do that. We’re taking the Larson or Hamlin combo line at the same +400 odds.
