Oklahoma vs. Florida State Predictions
This is an interesting game between two historic programs. The Sooners snuck into a bowl game with a 6-6 record after beating rival Oklahoma State. Outside of that win, Oklahoma had lost six of its last eight games. The defense has been the culprit, as OU ranks 118th in total defense while giving up more than 450 yards per game. In other words, a Florida State offense that ranks 18th overall and 19th in scoring should be able to put up some points.
Let’s not discount Oklahoma’s offense either, as the Sooners rank 26th in scoring and 11th in total yards. Oklahoma is no stranger to playing in a shootout, combining for 70+ total points in five of its last nine games. Florida State’s most recent game (Nov. 25 vs. Florida) followed that theme as well. The Seminoles pulled out the 45-38 victory in an epic back-and-forth battle.
The Seminoles should win this game, but don’t be surprised if both sides put up points. Betting over 65.5 total points is the best bet.
