There were many competitive games in Week 5, and the game’s spread suggests the Raiders and Packers will close the week with a back-and-forth contest. If the game goes according to the betting line, it should be a neutral game script for both throughout most of the game.

Thus, both teams should be able to attack their opponent how they prefer or where the opposition is most vulnerable, which is baked into the suggested Raiders vs. Packers player props.

Monday Night Football Prop Bets: Week 5

Here’s a trio of Raiders vs. Packers player props I like for Monday’s primetime matchup:

Josh Jacobs Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

The NFL’s defending rushing champion hasn’t picked up where he left off to start this season after holding out for the entire offseason. Still, Josh Jacobs had his two best performances in the previous two weeks, rushing for 62 yards in Week 3 and 58 in Week 4. He’s seemingly rounding into form and has an excellent matchup tonight.

According to RotoViz’s pace app, Green Bay’s opponents have rushed at the third-highest rate (49%) in neutral game scripts this season. As a result, per The 33rd Team, running backs have steamrolled the Packers for 115.3 rushing yards per game. So, with the Raiders favored, Jacobs should get the necessary workload to exceed 72.5 rushing yards tonight.

Aaron Jones Over 16.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

UPDATE: Aaron Jones has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Aaron Jones was on a pitch count in his return from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 1. Sadly, he had only one reception for negative four yards. Yet, Jones torched the Bears for 86 receiving yards on two receptions in Week 1. Perhaps most importantly, per Pro Football Focus (PFF), Jones has been targeted on a robust 21.4% of his routes this season.

The Packers might lean on the passing attack a bit more, and Jones has a decent matchup. Green Bay’s passed on 55% of their 115 plays in a neutral game script this year but aired it out on their only six plays in a neutral game script in Week 4 against the Lions with Jones back and Christian Watson making his season debut. As for the matchup, the Raiders have yielded 31.0 receiving yards per game to running backs.

Jayden Reed Over 33.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

Jayden Reed is making an immediate impact in Green Bay’s passing attack. He’s averaging 50.8 receiving yards per game with a median of 51.5, exceeding 33.5 in every game this season.

Reed has more target competition with Watson and Jones healthy. Still, the matchup is dreamy for Reed, and he has a low bar to clear to exceed his prop for receiving yards.

The rookie is primarily deployed from the slot. According to The 33rd Team, since Week 2, his slot rates were 75.0%, 74.5%, and 78.4%. Meanwhile, slot wideouts have given the Raiders fits.

In Week 1, Courtland Sutton (32 receiving yards), Brandon Johnson (21 receiving yards), and Lil’ Jordan Humphrey (six receiving yards) combined for 59 receiving yards from the slot. In Week 2, Gabe Davis (61 receiving yards) and Stefon Diggs (24 receiving yards) combined for 85 receiving yards in the slot.

In Week 3, Calvin Austin (72 receiving yards) and Allen Robinson (12 receiving yards) combined for 84 receiving yards in the slot. And in Week 4, Keenan Allen (22 receiving yards) and Josh Palmer (19 receiving yards) combined for 41 receiving yards in the slot.

Thus, two wideouts exceeded 33.5 receiving yards on their slot production alone, and all of Las Vegas’s opponents had over 33.5 receiving yards from the slot. So, Bet Prep projects Reed for 38.98 receiving yards.
