Dubbs Anderson, former PGA Tour caddy and host of the Props Golf podcast, is back following a solid betting performance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Reaching for those “plus-money peaches,” Anderson offers his top Wyndham Championship picks, best bets, props, and sleepers this time around. The event starts the morning of Thursday, August 4 — so read up and get those picks in.

In addition to this betting preview, Anderson will release an episode late Friday night in which he will offer his favorite wagering opportunities heading into the weekend, so be sure to subscribe to Props Golf on Youtube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.

With that, here are Dubbs’ top Wyndham Championship picks and best bets across the golf betting markets.

Odds updated as of 10 a.m. ET on August 2.

Wyndham Championship Picks

The Wyndham Championship will be played at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Kevin Kisner won this event in 2021 and has 40-1 odds to win this event again. Other recent winners of this tournament include Jim Herman (2020), J.T. Poston (2019), and Brandt Snedeker (2018).

As Dubbs noted on the podcast, the Sedgefield Country Club is a shorter course where small ball rules the day. The players will need precision and accuracy with their irons and putter this weekend. With that in mind, strokes gained around the green, strokes gained on approach, and strokes gained putting are the most important metrics to monitor heading into this event.

The following are abbreviated, edited excerpts of Anderson’s analysis from his latest episode of Props Golf, which he hosts twice weekly. For full analysis, you can view the full episode at the bottom of this article.

Kim Si-woo Outright Winner (+2800)

Best odds available: +2800 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Dubbs’ Take: The most important takeaway from Kim’s resume: he’s a previous winner of the Wyndham Championship. In addition, Kim has momentum on his side after finishing inside the top 15 at both the Rocket Mortgage Classic and the Open Championship.

Kim is ranked 39th in strokes gained around the green. This will come in handy if conditions are poor and Kim needs to rely on his precision to take home another win at the Wyndham Championship.

Overall, Dubbs believes there’s plenty of value in this bet, as Kim is a true contender. The +2800 price on DraftKings is worth a slice.

Russell Henley Outright Winner (+2500)

Best odds available: +2500 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Dubbs’ Take: Henley may very well be the best iron player on the PGA Tour. He is 2nd in strokes gained on approach and has to be in the conversation on a course that requires accuracy across the board.

Henley is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour and has three top ten finishes this season. A true “chess player” with all the right moves in Dubbs’ opinion. Count on him to be in contention for the win at the end of the weekend. His game lends itself beautifully to this course.

Go ahead and look towards Henley with +2500 outright winner odds at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Alex Smalley Top 40 Finish (+120)

Best odds available: +120 at Caesars Sportsbook

Dubbs’ Take: The hometown kid has the potential to have a solid top 40 finish on his local turf. Smalley could show up with his B-grade stuff and still know the tricks of the course, according to Dubbs. That’s a major advantage in his back pocket.

Smalley’s course knowledge could be very beneficial as the greens can be tricky at this course. Undulation in certain spots can be tricky, but not if you’re Smalley, who has played this course more than any other player going in this event.
