Lions vs Packers Predictions – Thursday, Nov. 27
The Green Bay Packers’ offense will be dependent on Josh Jacobs. If he plays, he’ll likely see a solid workload with Emanuel Wilson potentially mixing in more than usual. If he’s out, Wilson will see another huge workload.
The passing game looks relatively condensed at this point. Jordan Love will work with Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Dontayvion Wicks as the top options. Matthew Golden is questionable, and he’d mix in with those three if he’s active. John FitzPatrick and Luke Musgrave are splitting snaps at tight end, but neither has a major role in the offense.
The Detroit Lions have a very condensed offense. Jahmyr Gibbs is their lead back, with David Montgomery having a significant role. They’ll continue to be featured, especially against this defense.
Jared Goff has two main targets with Sam LaPorta injured. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Gibbs each have 27% or better target shares in two games without their star tight end. Jameson Williams is always a big-play threat, while Brock Wright is getting the tight end snaps
Packers vs Lions Props and Picks Today
There are plenty of Green Bay vs Detroit player props to choose from on Underdog for Thursday Night Football. Let’s dive into the Packers vs Lions predictions!
Jahmyr Gibbs Higher Than 108.5 Rushing & Receiving Yards
Gibbs is a massive part of the Detroit Lions’ offense. He owns 951 yards and 10 touchdowns on 155 carries this season. He’s also added 48 receptions for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns on 55 targets.
This isn’t an elite matchup against the Green Bay Packers, but they’ve shown some vulnerability against the run. Gibbs has also seen 20 targets in two games without Sam LaPorta, and Detroit is going to get him the ball several ways in this game.
Christian Watson Higher Than 51.5 Receiving Yards
Watson’s seen mixed results for the Green Bay Packers this season, but he’s flashed. He’s posted 17 receptions for 283 yards and 2 touchdowns on 24 targets through 5 games. His role in the offense is growing as he gets healthier, though.
Watson gets an interesting matchup against the Detroit Lions this week. They haven’t been awful against wide receivers, but they will give up big plays. That’s exactly what Watson does best.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Higher Than 6.5 Receptions
St. Brown is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and he has an awesome role for the Detroit Lions. He’s recorded 75 receptions for 884 yards and 9 touchdowns on 103 targets. He’s also seen a ridiculous 33.8% target share in his last two games without Sam LaPorta.
Detroit’s star receiver also gets a plus matchup against the Green Bay Packers. They’ve been able to pressure opposing quarterbacks, forcing quicker throws. These result in easier targets, and that’s where St. Brown has found consistent success throughout his career.
