Bears vs Commanders Predictions – October 13
Our NFL betting expert Justin Bales has two plays ready to roll for tonight’s Bears vs Commanders battle.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt Rushing Yards Ladder
Croskey-Merritt’s role has been a bit all over the place for the Washington Commanders. He owns 283 yards and 4 touchdowns on 43 carries through 5 games. He’s coming off his best game of the season, though.
Overall, the rookie has recorded 10+ carries in two games. He posted 82 and 111 rushing yards in those games. He’s also flashed elite breakaway speed, adding to his upside, even if he gets limited carries.
Croskey-Merritt gets an elite matchup against the Chicago Bears this week. They’re allowing a league-high 140.8 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs. The Bears are also giving up a league-high 6.1 yards per carry.
Chris Rodriguez is dealing with an injury, and Croskey-Merritt comes with elite upside if he sees a bigger workload.
Where to Bet: Jacory Croskey-Merritt 70+ rushing yards (-114) through 110+ rushing yards (+390) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook
Caleb Williams Passing & Rushing Yards Ladder
Williams is still getting used to the new system for the Chicago Bears, but he’s flashed tremendous upside. He’s thrown for 927 yards with 8 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 130 pass attempts. He’s added 110 yards and 1 touchdown on 24 carries.
The young quarterback gets a great matchup against the Washington Commanders. They’re allowing the ninth-most passing yards (254.4) per game to opposing quarterbacks. They’re giving up the third-most yards per attempt (8.2) in the league this year.
Washington’s also struggled against mobile quarterbacks this season. Quarterbacks are averaging the ninth-most rushing yards (26.8) per game against the Commanders in 2025. It’s an elite matchup for a mobile QB who boasts incredible passing upside.
This game should also be extremely fast-paced, which will help both Williams and Croskey-Merritt. Both of these teams look to push the pace in their games, and I’m expecting that to be the case this week.
It’s also important to note that laddering Croskey-Merritt and Williams gives you a correlation edge that could pay off if Washington gets out to an early lead.
Where to Bet: Caleb Williams 250+ passing & rushing yards (-160) through 350 passing & rushing yards (+580) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook
Bills vs Falcons Props
We’re in for a treat on Monday. Not only are there two NFL games on tap, but they’re both pretty intriguing. Here’s a pick for the Bills vs Falcons contest.
Tyler Allgeier Rushing Yards Ladder
Allgeier’s seen mixed results for the Atlanta Falcons this season. He’s totaled 155 yards and 2 touchdowns on 43 touches. He generally goes overlooked because of Bijan Robinson, but he’s quietly recorded 16 carries in two of his four games.
The young running back has already completed this ladder this season. He posted 76 yards on 16 carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. He also recorded 51 yards on 16 carries against the Washington Commanders in Week 4.
Allgeier gets an interesting matchup against the Buffalo Bills. They’re allowing the second-most yards per carry (5.6) in the NFL this season. The spread isn’t too wide in this game, and Atlanta is likely going to ride their running backs for as long as they can this week.
Where to Bet: Tyler Allgeier 30+ rushing yards (-125) through 70+ rushing yards (+630) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook
