Here are the matches on the schedule for Friday:
CS2 Schedule (2/21/25)
paiN vs. MOUZ
The MongolZ vs. Astralis
Falcons vs. Eternal Fire
FaZe vs. SAW
CS2 Preview
In the first quarter-final, paiN and Mousesports should be a back-and-forth matchup that could easily go the distance.
While Mousesports is the more recognized team globally, paiN has been playing some great CS as of late, particularly since the arrival of dav1deuS.
MOUZ likewise has shown some great moments with a new starting fifth in Spinx, with the former Vitality man posting some strong performances in his first event with the new jersey.
We expect The MongolZ to win out over Astralis in two maps. While the Danes have shown some progression in recent tournaments, they’re still not at their opposition’s level as of now. MongolZ is one of the favorites to win it all alongside FaZe.
The series between Falcons and Eternal Fire should be a fun, competitive one. NiKo and TeSeS have been the most reliable fraggers for this Falcons starting five, while XANTERES is the clear X factor for Eternal Fire.
In the last matchup of the day, the Cinderella run continues for SAW. The Portuguese have been outperforming everyone’s expectations in their last event with this lineup, but can they keep that going against a team as strong as FaZe?
It’s highly unlikely. FaZe has been looking great ever since EliGE joined up, and we’re predicting a 2-0 series win for karrigan’s crew.
Our favorite DFS and betting player targets for the day:
NiKo & TeSeS vs. Eternal Fire
XANTERES vs. Falcons
Senzu & 910 vs. Astralis
EliGE & frozen vs. SAW
Good luck and enjoy the matches!

Astralis vs. BIG
MOUZ vs. Virtus.pro
3DMAX vs. SAW
Note that some of these games will start extremely early on Tuesday morning, so make sure to get your plays submitted on time.
CS2 Preview
The first game of the day pits Astralis and BIG, and we’re predicting this one will go all three maps.
Astralis survived MIBR in the last round, and device was instrumental. He finished 79-46 across the three maps in the 2-1 series win. One of the most accomplished players in Counter-Strike, device is the X factor for Astralis, and if he’s feeling it, the Danes will have a great shot of advancing.
We’re then treated to Mousesports against Virtus.pro in what should be another barnburner. We can’t see much of an edge on either side. MOUZ has been hit-or-miss in this event so far with new fifth Spinx, and the same can be said for VP, who got brushed aside in two maps by paiN in Swiss round 4.
In the last game of the day, 3DMAX should be able to win 2-0 against SAW, who surprised an extremely disappointing Complexity team in the last round.
SAW has already announced upcoming roster changes yet has still managed to secure consecutive victories, but we don’t think they have much of a chance against the French team in this spot. Lucky and Maka have been the team’s best players to target individually.
Here are our favorite DFS and betting player targets for the day:
device (Astralis) vs. BIG
Lucky & Maka (3DMAX) vs. SAW
PGL Cluj-Napoca CS2 Picks: Monday, February 17
Another full day of Counter-Strike action takes place on Monday at PGL Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
CS2 Schedule (2/17/25)
MOUZ vs. Falcons
Wildcard vs. BIG

paiN vs. Virtus.pro
Complexity vs. SAW
Note that some of these games will start extremely early on Monday morning, so make sure to get your plays submitted on time.
CS2 Preview
These matches all seem pretty tight at a glance as we enter Swiss Round 4 at PGL Cluj-Napoca.
In the earliest matches, MOUZ/Falcons should be a fun one as both teams try to march on. NiKo is coming off a hugely impactful showing yesterday, but Mousesports is likely going to provide a stern test.
Wildcard has had another solid event and now gets a crack at BIG, and we think the Americans have a good shot of scoring the win. phzy has been in great form this tournament and is worth a look.
3DMAX vs. Eternal Fire
The match of the day in our eyes. Both sides are playing pretty strong Counter-Strike and we don’t see much separating them. XANTERES and Lucky are the players to watch for their respective teams.
Astralis vs. MIBR
We have liked the progression we’ve seen out of Astralis recently. The Danes are playing better and we believe they’ll topple an inconsistent MIBR team today.
paiN vs. Virtus.pro
An intriguing battle, as the upstart Brazilians meet up with Russian team Virtus.pro. paiN just pushed The MongolZ to the absolute limit in three maps, so we don’t expect an easy win for VP. dav1deuS has been a terrific addition to the starting five.
Complexity vs. SAW
After picking up their first wins of the tournament, Complexity and SAW now meet up for tournament survival. We give the edge to Complexity even though SAW picked up the surprise W yesterday.
Here are our favorite DFS and betting player targets for the day:
phzy (Wildcard) vs. BIG
XANTERES (Eternal Fire) vs. 3DMAX
Lucky (3DMAX) vs. Eternal Fire
hallzerk/Grim (Complexity) vs. SAW

CS2 Preview
It’s another great set of matches at PGL Cluj-Napoca. We’re most looking forward to Falcons vs. Astralis, Wildcard vs. Virtus.pro and MOUZ vs. FaZe, which should all be highly entertaining for different reasons.
A brief preview of the later Sunday games:
MOUZ (#8) vs. FaZe (#6) – Should be a great match and a competitive one too. MOUZ has looked strong with new fifth Spinx and we can say the exact same about FaZe with EliGE, so we are eagerly anticipating this encounter.
Complexity (#23) vs. Imperial.fe (#70) – Surely this will be Complexity’s first LAN victory with the new lineup? Both teams have yet to win even a map in this tournament, but the edge goes to Complexity in general against Imperial Valkyries.
paiN (#15) vs. The MongolZ (#7) – While we like what paiN has been doing with dav1deuS as the new fifth, The MongolZ appear to be on another level right now. They are one of the favorites to win it all here in Romania and should get past paiN.
SAW (#24) vs. FlyQuest (#22) – This is expected to be competitive, but we’re steering clear of SAW in general with roster changes on the horizon. FlyQuest’s regali stands out.
Here are our favorite DFS and betting player targets for the day:
Grim/hallzerk vs. Imperial.fe
Lucky vs. MIBR
XANTERES vs. BIG
NiKo/TeSeS vs. Astralis
910 vs. paiN
regali vs. SAW

CS2 Schedule (2/15/25)
MOUZ vs. 3DMAX
BIG vs. FlyQuest
The MongolZ vs. Wildcard
Complexity vs. Virtus.pro
FaZe vs. Eternal Fire
MIBR vs. Imperial.fe
Falcons vs. paiN
SAW vs. Astralis
Note that some of these games will start extremely early on Saturday morning, so make sure to get your plays submitted on time.
CS2 Preview
A lot of great matchups again on Saturday.
Starting with the earliest games, MOUZ vs. 3DMAX should be extremely competitive, and it’s tough to pick out an edge there team-wise and player-wise. Spinx had a very nice debut with Mousesports in the 2-0 series win over BIG, while xertioN excelled too. That being said, 3DMAX is in great form right now.
We expect a series victory for BIG over FlyQuest, though no one in particular is standing out there.
The next three matchups are some of the most compelling of the day. MongolZ is one of the best teams in this field and we do expect a W over Wildcard, but the North American organization shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Virtus.pro and Complexity both fell short in their PGL openers and now do battle on day two, and we’re predicting VP to get the job done. We’re not sold on this new-look Complexity starting five after EliGE left.
FaZe/Eternal Fire should be cinema. Both teams scored easy wins to open their events and are playing great Counter-Strike at the moment, so this is the series we are most looking forward to watching. XANTERES remains the go-to player for Eternal Fire in the firepower department.
We should expect MIBR to win out over Imperial Valkyries, but we’re steering clear when it comes to player picks.
In the last two matches, Falcons can expect a tough test against paiN, and we’re not expecting anywhere near of a comfortable showing as they had against FlyQuest on day one. NiKo was impressive in that win, and as the most experienced and talented player on the roster, he’s always in play for DFS and betting. TeSeS has also been playing great CS for Falcons.
As far as SAW/Astralis goes, you have to give the edge to the Danes. SAW looked awful in their opener and has announced upcoming roster changes, so this is a team we will be fading for now. Astralis should be able to grab the 2-0 victory here.

PGL Cluj-Napoca CS2 Picks: Friday, February 14
We’ve got yet another big-time CS2 LAN event starting up this week with a lot of money on the line, and we’re pumped to be covering it.
While a few of the world’s most elite teams won’t be in attendance, this is still a strong field, and it kicks off with a bang early on Friday. There are a lot of interesting best-of-three series taking place throughout the day, and we’ll be breaking it down from a team and player perspective.
CS2 Schedule (2/14/25)
MOUZ vs. BIG
3DMAX vs. Virtus.pro
FaZe vs. SAW
Falcons vs. FlyQuest
The MongolZ vs. Complexity
MIBR vs. Wildcard
paiN vs. Astralis
Eternal Fire vs. Imperial.fe
Note that some of these games will start extremely early on Friday morning, so make sure to get your plays submitted on time.
CS2 Preview
Sheesh, this is a tricky slate featuring a lot of competitive-looking showdowns.
Eternal Fire is in the most favorable spot of the day against Imperial’s female team, though if the best-of-three series does end up going by quickly, that could limit the upside of the team’s top players like XANTERES. His CS2 projection is at 31.5 kills for the first two maps.
You would also expect FaZe to take care of business against SAW, while we believe Falcons and The MongolZ will be able to topple FlyQuest and Complexity respectively in two maps as well.
Individually, we prefer EliGE for FaZe considering how quickly he’s adapted to life with his new team, while our top targets in those other two games would be NiKo and TeSeS for Falcons and 910 and mzinho for MongolZ.
Virtus.pro took a big leap at IEM Katowice and could be worth targeting, but 3DMAX has been looking strong as well and may not be a walkover opponent.
Elsewhere, we don’t see much separating Mousesports/BIG, MIBR/Wildcard and paiN/Astralis. This will be MOUZ’s first event with Spinx, so that will be an intriguing development to track.
Good luck and enjoy the opening round. Thanks for following along!
IEM Dallas Qualifier CS2 Picks: Tuesday, February 11
There is more qualifying action going on for IEM Dallas on Tuesday. Here’s a quick overview:
Astralis vs. Zero Tenacity
It’s hard to know what version of Astralis we are going to get these days, as they’ve been extremely inconsistent since settling on this starting five.
The team is also getting balanced efforts in the fragging department, making it tough to decipher the top DFS pick’em plays. device is the most talented overall but is not playing at his best level currently.
For Zero Tenacity, nEMANHA (28.5 projection on Underdog CS2) has been the standout performer in terms of firepower.
BetBoom vs. Hesta
We expect a BetBoom win here even though the mysterious Hesta squad has done some damage in these qualifiers. Ax1Le and Magnojez would be our favorite individual targets in this all-Russian showdown.
BetBoom has been hit or miss in this event so far but does have an experienced in-game leader and a pretty strong lineup all things considered. The results just haven’t been there yet, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see this matchup go to three maps.
Metizport vs. HEROIC
This should be a competitive and entertaining battle, as the Swedes of Metizport meet up with HEROIC in the lower bracket semi-final.
We wouldn’t read too much into Metizport’s ranking of #79, as it’s a newer lineup that is working its way up the ladder again. We believe it’s unlikely to be a walkover for HEROIC against a Swedish team that has a solid mix of experience and younger talent.
Plopski and adamb are probably the two players to watch for Metizport, while we like SunPayus and tN1R for HEROIC.
Astralis vs. BetBoom
In the last lower bracket semi-final of the day, Astralis and BetBoom square off for survival.
device just went off for a 61-33 score in the 2-1 series win over Zero Tenacity earlier today, while Staehr and jabbi were solid as well.
BetBoom was able to move on after a 2-1 win over Hesta, thanks in large part to a standout performance from zorte. Magnojez also came up big throughout to keep BetBoom alive.
IEM Dallas Qualifier CS2 Picks: Monday, February 10
Vitality ended up destroying Spirit in the IEM Katowice finals, sweeping the best-of-five series 3-0. ZywOo and ropz were both amazing in the dominant win.
The Counter-Strike action does not let up, as strong teams are taking part in IEM Dallas qualifiers throughout the week. We’ll try to drop in plays and analysis when it makes sense.
In the earliest group of matches, 3DMAX (vs. NEVERMORE), GamerLegion (vs. Hesta) and HEROIC (vs. Zero Tenacity) should all be able to win with ease. Since these matches are online, everything is a bit more random in general, but those three teams are much more talented and experienced. Metizport vs. Nexus should be a close one.
Individually, we most like Lucky for 3DMAX, REZ and PR for GamerLegion, and SunPayus and tN1R for HEROIC.
In a separate event going on today in Russia, it’s the LAN debut for highly-touted prospect kyousuke, who will lead out Spirit Academy against 1WIN. His CS2 projection is at 35.5 kills for the first two maps over on PrizePicks, and he’s shown to be a player to watch this past year.
Below is a closer look at the quarter-final matchups in the IEM Dallas qualifiers, which will take place later today.
Astralis vs. BC.Game
Our top targets would be device (32.5) and stavn (30.5) for Astralis and jkaem (28) for BC.Game. Astralis has looked pretty strong in these qualifiers so far and we expect a 2-0 series win.
Falcons vs. BetBoom
A nice matchup here which could very easily go all three maps. We prefer NiKo (33.5 kill projection) and TeSeS (31) for a Falcons team that struggled way too much against inferior opposition in the last round, while Ax1Le (32.5) stands out for BetBoom.
Metizport vs. GamerLegion
Though Metizport is ranked #71 in the world at the moment, this is a team that shouldn’t be taken lightly. The Swedes have a respected in-game leader in hampus and a nice mix of young talent and experience, so it should be a fun battle with GamerLegion, who were able to survive a tougher-than-expected test against Hesta. GamerLegion’s PR is one of the best young players in CS2 and one to watch for.
3DMAX/NEVERMORE vs. HEROIC
HEROIC awaits the winner of 3DMAX and NEVERMORE in the last of today’s CS2 quarter-finals.
We like the HEROIC side more regardless of who the opponent is. Even if they win, 3DMAX is likely to keep having growing pains as they adjust to having a new fifth in the lineup (bodyy). HEROIC has been nicely balanced so far, but SunPayus is the most decorated player on the roster.
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Sunday, February 9
We have reached the finals of IEM Katowice, as Vitality and Spirit get set to do battle for the trophy and cash.
Vitality (#4) vs. Spirit (#1)
It all comes down to this!
The #1-ranked team right now, Spirit, has stormed into the Grand Finals, where they’ll meet #4-ranked Vitality in a best-of-five series.
What a match this should be, and we’re selfishly hoping it goes all five maps for entertainment purposes.
Spirit looked extremely strong against Na’Vi yesterday, with donk showing up huge once again. His CS2 projection is all the way up at 61 kills through the first three maps, which is a staggering number — as a frame of reference, teammate sh1ro’s number is at 49 kills, and he’s an outstanding player in his own right.
If there’s someone who can get there without trouble, even against the best competition, it’s donk. He’s the best player in the world and his upside is unmatched in the server in general.
For Vitality, ZywOo remains the star and is coming off an impactful showing in the semi-finals against The MongolZ. You can find his projection at 55 kills on Underdog as of now.
Prediction: 3-2 Vitality
Top Plays: donk, ZywOo, sh1ro
Good luck and enjoy the finals!
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Saturday, February 8
Four teams remain at IEM Katowice, and we’re here to break down the games and pick out our favorite DFS and betting plays.
Vitality (#4) vs. The MongolZ (#8)
First up earlier on Saturday, Vitality will do battle with The MongolZ, who looked pretty sharp in yesterday’s 2-0 series win over Eternal Fire.
The opposition level gets a lot tougher now against ZywOo, ropz and company, who have had ample time to prepare for this matchup.
That said, we have liked what we’ve seen from MongolZ, and they were on point tactically and individually in the quarter-finals. This is a very talented team that Vitality will have to respect from start to finish in order to win.
Individually, the clear standout is ZywOo, who went 16-10 on Inferno and 16-9 on Anubis in the team’s easy 2-0 win over Virtus.pro in the last round. In the series prior, he went 63-49 across three maps in a 2-1 victory over FaZe. He’s a huge talent, with his Underdog projection at 37.5 kills for the first two maps today.
910 would probably be our top play for the MongolZ, as he’s a dominant AWPer who can take over maps when he’s in the groove. We believe he’ll cause Vitality some problems in this matchup.
Prediction: 2-1 Vitality
Top Plays: ZywOo, 910
Natus Vincere (#2) vs. Spirit (#1)
Another amazing matchup here featuring the two highest-ranked teams in the world right now.
Both squads are looking formidable, but only one can move on to the IEM Katowice finals, and ultimately we will be rolling with Na’Vi to win out in tight fashion.
As usual, we can expect donk (39.5 projection) to have a heavy impact individually for Spirit, and sh1ro has been performing at a high level too. However, Na’Vi has a ton of talent throughout the starting five and is an extremely experienced and well-drilled team that doesn’t make a lot of mistakes.
Different players have been stepping up for Na’Vi throughout this tournament.
iM‘s play style and recent form could make him an interesting play for DFS pick’em on sites like PrizePicks. His projection is at 30.5 as of now. Reliable anchor b1t is a steady player who will need to show up big as well.
Prediction: 2-1 Na’Vi
Top Plays: donk, iM, sh1ro
Good luck and enjoy the matches!
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Friday, February 7
We’ve reached the quarter-finals of IEM Katowice and some of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams will be fighting it out for a lot of cash and the trophy.
Let’s check out which players have performed best so far:
Top rated CS2 Players from the IEM Katowice 2025 (Group Stage)
🇷🇺 donk – 1.45
🇺🇦 b1t – 1.38
🇱🇹 jL – 1.32
🇫🇷 ZywOo – 1.28
🇮🇱 NertZ – 1.28
🇹🇷 XANTARES – 1.26
🇷🇴 iM – 1.25
🇮🇱 flameZ – 1.24
🇺🇦 w0nderful – 1.20
🇹🇷 woxic – 1.19— statsmeister (@statsmeister1) February 4, 2025
Here are the matchups on the schedule for Friday’s knockout round action:
The MongolZ (#8) vs. Eternal Fire (#6)
Eternal Fire and The MongolZ will do battle in a best-of-three series after an up-and-down journey through IEM Katowice so far.
This should be a hard-fought battle and one that could go either way, and we’re expecting to see all three maps here.
Our top DFS pick’em play has to be XANTARES once more, as he’s been a force throughout Eternal Fire’s recent successes. His projection is at 34.5 kills through the first two maps today.
New fifth jottAAA and AWPer woxic have also been showing strong form for Eternal Fire in Katowice, while young rifler mzinho and AWPer 910 would probably be our top targets on the MongolZ side.
Prediction: 2-1 Eternal Fire
Top Plays: XANTARES, mzinho, 910
Virtus.pro (#14) vs. Spirit (#1)
Under electroNic’s in-game leadership, Virtus.pro has made it all the way to the quarter-finals and scored some upsets along the way. Unfortunately, the team now has to play with a stand-in (mir) after new addition FL4MUS was unable to get his visa extended. That’s a big loss.
We don’t see the good times continuing for VP against Team Spirit and donk, the number one team and player in the world respectively at the moment.
donk has already excelled against the likes of Natus Vincere, Liquid and GamerLegion among others and will like his chances of another stat-stuffing effort against VP. We’ve seen continued reliable play out of sh1ro in this tournament too, and his projection is at a more palatable 31.5 kills.
We’d advise being careful with this series in general. There’s a good chance it could be a blowout on both maps, which would shorten the game and limit the upside of Spirit’s players.
No one is all that appealing on the Virtus.pro side in what should be a 2-0 series win for Spirit, unless we’re talking fades/lower plays.
Prediction: 2-0 Spirit
Top Plays: donk, sh1ro
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Tuesday, February 4
A look at the Counter-Strike matches on the schedule for Tuesday:
GamerLegion vs. Astralis
Liquid vs. Spirit
Eternal Fire vs. FaZe
Virtus.pro vs. Vitality
The MongolZ vs. Natus Vincere
Here is a recap of who performed best yesterday:
IEM Katowice 2025 day 3 masterclass:
🇮🇱 NertZ – 1.70
🇨🇦 Twistzz – 1.61
🇲🇳 bLitz – 1.57
🇷🇺 donk – 1.38
🇲🇳 mzinho – 1.30
🇲🇳 910 – 1.28
🇸🇰 frozen – 1.27
🇧🇷 skullz – 1.26
🇹🇷 jottAAA – 1.24
🇱🇹 jL – 1.24— statsmeister (@statsmeister1) February 3, 2025
In one of the two early games on Tuesday, donk will be taking aim at Liquid after a nice individual effort in yesterday’s 2-1 series loss to Natus Vincere.
That should be a great battle, and as donk showed yesterday against the #2 team in the world, he can carry against even the best of competition. Just know that Liquid has been looking a lot stronger with NertZ as the new fifth, so Spirit may not find it easy once more.
Astralis has bounced back nicely after a rough start to IEM Katowice and will be hoping to avoid elimination against GamerLegion. Both teams have been getting balanced efforts from their starting fives throughout the tournament, so no players really stick out other than device for Astralis.
Our favorite CS2 player picks for the later games on the slate:
XANTARES (Eternal Fire) and EliGE (FaZe)
XANTARES wasn’t able to dominate as he usually has yesterday, but Eternal Fire still held on to beat 3DMAX 2-1 and move on to the lower bracket final in Group A.
A highly-anticipated meeting with FaZe now awaits, with only one team able to advance. We like both XANTARES and FaZe’s EliGE in this matchup — the latter looks to be fitting in perfectly with FaZe since moving over from Complexity.
ZywOo (Vitality) vs. Virtus.pro
You have to give it to Virtus.pro for what they’ve done in this tournament, as the Russian organization has made it all the way to the upper bracket final against Vitality.
Vitality’s ZywOo was just voted as the third-best player in the world in 2024 and can take over matches single-handedly when he’s on his game. His projection is at 37 kills for the first two maps today.
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Monday, February 3
More IEM Katowice knockout round action begins early on Monday morning.
MOUZ vs. Liquid
GamerLegion vs. The MongolZ
FURIA vs. Astralis
Natus Vincere vs. Spirit
G2 vs. FaZe
Eternal Fire vs. 3DMAX
A look at the top individual performers from yesterday:
IEM Katowice 2025 day 2 masterclass:
🇷🇺 donk – 1.66
🇫🇷 Maka – 1.63
🇷🇺 chopper – 1.47
🇷🇺 magixx – 1.46
🇮🇱 NertZ – 1.40
🇫🇷 Lucky – 1.35
🇷🇺 degster – 1.29
🇫🇷 Graviti – 1.29
🇮🇱 flameZ – 1.28
🇹🇷 woxic – 1.26
🇫🇷 ZywOo – 1.26— statsmeister (@statsmeister1) February 2, 2025
Here are our favorite DFS pick’em CS2 player picks for the upcoming slate:
NertZ (Liquid) vs. MOUZ
It has been a pretty seamless transition for Nertz after moving from HEROIC to Liquid. He’s been a nice upgrade to YEKINDAR in the starting five in the firepower department and has already come through with some strong performances in this event.
This should be a series win for Liquid against MOUZ, who are using a new in-game leader and a stand-in for this event.
donk (Spirit) vs. Natus Vincere
The matchup is obviously tougher than normal against Na’Vi, but donk is playable in practically any situation. His upside is on another level whenever he’s in the server, and he typically shines most in these showdowns with the best opposition.
donk’s projection is at 39.5 for the first two maps. A more under-the-radar pick could be teammate sh1ro, an AWPer who is another one of the top players in the world. His projection is at 31.5.
XANTERES (Eternal Fire) vs. 3DMAX
We will keep rolling with XANTERES, as he keeps coming up huge for Eternal Fire.
His Counter-Strike projection is at 34.5 kills for the first two maps over at Underdog against a 3DMAX team that’s shown some great things this event. We expect more production from the team’s star fragger as Eternal Fire tries to move on through the lower bracket.

Here are the matchups for the day:
Spirit vs. Astralis
The MongolZ vs. Liquid
Eternal Fire vs. Virtus.pro
Falcons vs. G2
Vitality vs. FaZe
3DMAX vs. BIG
As you can see, there are a lot of great games on the board for Sunday. Here are our favorite DFS pick’em CS2 player picks for the upcoming slate:
donk (Spirit) vs. Astralis
The world’s best player comes up against an Astralis team that finally put together a productive series yesterday. Spirit has been looking super strong, and donk should dominate once more. His Underdog CS2 projection is all the way up at 39.5 kills through the first two maps.
XANTERES (Eternal Fire) vs. Virtus.pro
XANTERES, whose projection is at 34.5 kills, continued his strong play in Eternal Fire’s series win over Falcons and now gets a crack at Virtus.pro. He’s been one of the most in-form CS2 players in the world in recent events.
ZywOo (Vitality) vs. FaZe
What a showdown this is, as ropz comes up against his former team. Don’t be surprised if this one goes all three maps, with ZywOo the standout on the Vitality side (36.5 kills) and EliGE and broky looking like the best options for FaZe.
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Saturday, February 1
Stage 2 of IEM Katowice begins early on Saturday for us in the US. Here are the matchups:
Falcons vs. Eternal Fire
Vitality vs. 3DMAX
G2 vs. Virtus.pro
FaZe vs. BIG
Natus Vincere vs. FURIA
MOUZ vs. GamerLegion
Here are our favorite DFS pick’em CS2 player picks for the upcoming slate:
ZywOo (Vitality) vs. 3DMAX
Vitality did not look super strong in the team’s debut with ropz, but perhaps we’ll see a better showing now that they’ve had a little more time to practice together.
Either way, we expect star fragger ZywOo to get his usual fantasy production in an enticing best-of-three matchup with 3DMAX, who should be able to put up a decent enough fit to keep the game competitive.
XANTERES (Eternal Fire) vs. Falcons
This is a fun series between Eternal Fire and Falcons, and ultimately we think the in-form Turks will be able to get the job done.
XANTERES has been a man-possessed in recent events, and his Underdog and PrizePicks CS2 projections have continued to rise as a result. Will he be able to topple a high 34.5 projection in this series?
REZ (GamerLegion) vs. Mousesports
GamerLegion has been one of the biggest surprises of the tournament so far and is looking quite formidable heading into this battle with Mousesports, who just lost their in-game leader siuhy.
There are a lot of unknowns with MOUZ right now after such a drastic move, so we expect GamerLegion to fare well here. REZ has been reborn with his new team and looks like a prime target for DFS pick’em at 31.5 kills.
Also Consider:
m0NESY & malbsMD vs. Virtus.pro
EliGE vs. BIG
IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Friday, January 31
The play-in at IEM Katowice is getting closer to a conclusion, and we’ve got more interesting matches to dissect on Friday, 1/31/25.
Complexity vs. Liquid
Wildcard vs. FURIA
Virtus.pro vs. MIBR
BIG vs. HEROIC
paiN vs. Astralis
Those first two early matches should both be interesting. Individually we would prefer the Liquid side (primarily NertZ) against a new-look Complexity team that has been inconsistent so far.
Wildcard has shown great things and proven to be a threat worth taking seriously, and we expect a tight battle against FURIA, with no one really standing out from a player perspective.
Here are our favorite DFS pick’em CS2 player picks for the upcoming slate:
SunPayus & tN1r (HEROIC)
We think HEROIC has a great chance of toppling BIG, despite this event being the team’s first real test as a new starting five.
HEROIC has been playing some exciting Counter-Strike, with SunPayus and tN1r the main threats in the DFS production department. Their CS2 projections are at 30.5 and 34.5 respectively for this meeting with BIG.
snow & dav1deuS (paiN)
paiN was humbled in a big way yesterday, as GamerLegion looked extremely strong in a 2-0 series win.
On Friday, we expect better things from the Brazilian organization against Astralis, who has been a bit of a mess so far in this tournament. The Danes have a lot of talent but are making a lot of silly mistakes, and paiN would be primed to punish if that happens again.
snow and dav1deuS have consistently been the team’s most impactful fraggers in the early days with this starting five.

IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Thursday, January 30
Another big tournament is here, with IEM Katowice set to continue with more play-in matches on Thursday.
Virtus Pro vs. SAW
paiN vs. GamerLegion
FlyQuest vs. Astralis
3DMAX vs. MIBR
BIG vs. Imperial fe
Eternal Fire vs. HEROIC
Here are our favorite DFS pick’em CS2 player picks for the upcoming slate:
device (Astralis) vs. FlyQuest
Astralis was extremely disappointing yesterday, and device was part of the problem. He didn’t look quite himself, and we’re hoping that’s a one-off ahead of this friendlier matchup with FlyQuest, who got overwhelmed in their opener.
As of now, device’s CS2 projection is 32.5 kills through the first two maps, a number he should be able to clear if he plays as he normally does.
tN1r (HEROIC) & XANTERES (Eternal Fire)
We like both sides of what should be an entertaining battle between HEROIC and Eternal Fire. This is the match of the day and we expect both new HEROIC addition tN1r and XANTARES to show up.
Both players have shown aggressive yet measured playstyles that lead to high fantasy production. tN1r’s number is at 32.5 kills and XANTERES is at 35.
dav1deuS (paiN) vs. GamerLegion
Back to the well with star rifler dav1deuS against GamerLegion. He impressed in yesterday’s 2-0 series win over Virtus Pro and is starting to get more and more recognition because of his play. His DFS pick’em projection has risen to 35 kills ahead of this encounter.
Teammate snow is also worth a look considering the form the young player has shown in recent events, and his projection is at 31 kills on Underdog CS2.

IEM Katowice CS2 Picks: Wednesday, January 29
Another big tournament is here, with IEM Katowice set to kick off early Wednesday.
The setup is different than BLAST Bounty, as there are a ton of opening round play-in matches taking place throughout the day. Liquid vs. HEROIC is probably our favorite showdown of the day, but there are quite a few interesting matchups.
Here are our favorite DFS pick’em CS2 player picks for the upcoming slate:
XANTERES (Eternal Fire) vs. Complexity
Eternal Fire came up short in the Grand Final of BLAST Bounty, but the Turks have to be feeling good about their play ahead of this meeting with Complexity, who have recently gone through a revamp to the lineup.
Look for XANTERES to make another sizable impact in this best-of-three series, as he’s an aggressive player who can get hot in a hurry. His DFS pick’em projection is at 31.5 kills for the first two maps over on Underdog.
device (Astralis) vs. MIBR
Now that device is back to activity for Astralis, he should continue to be the main man in the starting five.
The Dane looked to be in great form last tournament even though Astralis faltered as a team, and this expected competitive matchup against MIBR should give him plenty of opportunities to pick up kills.
dav1deuS (paiN) vs. Virtus Pro
This should be another intriguing battle, one that’s likely to go all three maps.
paiN just impressed at BLAST Bounty, with dav1deuS and snow in particular standing out individually. At time of writing, their Underdog CS2 projections were at 32.5 and 28.5 respectively up against a talented but inconsistent Virtus Pro team.
Check back later to see if any more picks and analysis are added.
Good luck!
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Sunday, January 26
It’s the final of the BLAST Bounty Season 1, with Team Spirit and Eternal Fire set to do battle.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
Spirit (#1) vs. Eternal Fire (#13)
What an entertaining set of semi-finals we had yesterday, and now two in-form teams will do battle for the title of sole champions. This will be a best-of-five series instead of best-of-three, so most DFS pick’em sites will have projections up for the first three maps instead of the first two.
We expect this one to go down to the wire and believe it’s a true toss-up. Spirit has more firepower and experience with this starting five, but Eternal Fire has looked even better than expected with a new fifth and looks hard to stop. The Turks are playing with a ton of energy and making every round tough.
On an individual level, it’s pretty simple. donk is on another level and just went 62-44 across two maps (28-13 on Dust2, 34-31 on Ancient) in the semi-final win over Na’Vi yesterday. sh1ro is another Spirit player to keep an eye on, as he can get rolling with the AWP and make huge impacts.
For Eternal Fire, XANTERES was quiet yesterday but had been playing excellent Counter-Strike prior, and we expect him to find his footing again here in the grand final. We like him to go over Underdog CS2 projection of 46 kills through the first three maps.
Prediction: 3-2 Eternal Fire
Top Plays: donk, XANTERES, sh1ro
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Saturday, January 25
We are down to the final four teams in the BLAST Bounty, and it’s G2/Eternal Fire and Spirit/Na’Vi as the semi-final participants.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
G2 (#2) vs. Eternal Fire (#13)
Eternal Fire pulled off the upset over Vitality and did so in a dominant 2-0 fashion. Now they’ll do battle with m0NESY, malbsMd and G2 in the semi-finals of BLAST Bounty.
As far as a series winner, we are backing Eternal Fire to get it done again. They were impressive against ZywOo and company and are looking extremely dangerous.
Our top DFS pick’em play on Underdog and PrizePicks has to be XANTERES once more, and his CS2 projection is at a beatable 34.5 kills.
The talented rifler was at his very best in yesterday’s win and his play style typically lends itself to high outputs in the kill department.
Prediction: 2-1 Eternal Fire
Top Plays: XANTERES, malbsMd
Spirit (#1) vs. Natus Vincere (#3)
This is going to be a banger!
The second semi-final features two powerhouses, Team Spirit and Natus Vincere, both of which are ranked in the top three in the world right now.
Ultimately we’ve been more impressed with Spirit throughout this tournament, with Na’Vi showing some shaky moments here and there and really having to pull out all of their tricks to survive the quarter-finals against paiN.
donk did not have his usually dominant showing in Spirit’s quarter-final win but remains the highest-upside player in this matchup. He is the most talented and impactful player in CS2 at the moment.
Prediction: 2-1 Spirit
Top Plays: donk
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Friday, January 24
We are down to the final eight teams in the BLAST Bounty, with the tournament shifting to a LAN format for the quarter-finals.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
Vitality (#4) vs. Eternal Fire (#13)
We are looking forward to this one. Both Vitality and Eternal Fire have brought in new fifths to the starting lineups, ropz for the former and jottAAA for the latter, so that’s an interesting angle to watch.
The overall talent level and experience of Vitality are tough to ignore in a best-of-three series, and it doesn’t hurt they have a game-breaking player in ZywOo, who was just voted as the third-best player of 2024.
However, Eternal Fire is an extremely cohesive and passionate team with a lot of talent and big tournament experience too. The Turkish team also has a hugely impactful player in XANTERES, who we may like even more than ZywOo in this matchup.
For DFS pick’em, our favorite pick overall would probably be XANTERES to eclipse 32.5 kills over the first two maps of the series. He’s been the team’s most impactful player by a large margin and is consistently being put in positions to produce.
Prediction: 2-1 Vitality
Top Plays: ZywOo, XANTERES
Natus Vincere (#3) vs. paiN (#12)
In Friday’s late quarter-final showdown, we believe paiN is going to push Na’Vi to the limits.
The Brazilian organization has been looking strong so far in this event, with new fifth dav1deuS adding even more firepower to an already talented team. We think he has a good shot of finishing with more than 29.5 kills over the first two maps (available on Underdog).
paiN also has a formidable in-game leader in biguzera and another young player to watch in snow.
We wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset here, though we still feel Aleksib and company’s experience will shine through in the best-of-three series. Top anchor b1t and aggressive rifler jL would be our favorite targets for the Na’Vi side.
Prediction: 2-1 Natus Vincere
Top Plays: dav1deuS, b1t, jL
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Thursday, January 23
We are down to the final eight teams in the BLAST Bounty, with the tournament shifting to a LAN format for the quarter-finals.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
Spirit (#1) vs. HEROIC (#19)
This should be a fun game. HEROIC has a new-look starting five and will be using Maden as a stand-in for the knockout rounds. This team has some raw, talented players and one of the best coaches in the world.
While we believe HEROIC will cause some problems, we’re not sure they’ll be able to overcome donk and company in a best-of-three series.
Spirit has been looking extremely strong, and donk’s ability alone can take over maps. A 2-0 for Spirit is the safer pick, but we like what we saw from HEROIC in the opening rounds.
For DFS and betting, donk and sh1ro are the top targets. As usual, we can expect them to have high projections on pick’em apps, but those two players carry a lot of upside, donk in particular. We also don’t mind SunPayus, who should have a key role for this HEROIC team.
Prediction: 2-1 Spirit
Top Plays: donk, sh1ro, SunPayus
G2 (#2) vs. BetBoom (#16)
BetBoom will be missing in-game leader Boombl4 and using multiple stand-ins for the quarter-finals, so we don’t love their chances against a strong G2 lineup.
Though NiKo is a big loss to the starting five, his replacement HeavyGod has shown some good things already. Add in the firepower of m0NESY and malbsMd and the experience of Snax and huNter, one would think G2 should be able to win this one comfortably.
In recent matches, malbsMd has been the better producer, as he’s been thrust into a lot of NiKo’s aggressive roles. m0NESY was just voted as the second-best player in the world for 2024 behind only donk, so he’s always in play.
For BetBoom, Ax1Le and Magnojez would be our favorite player picks if we had to choose.
Prediction: 2-0 G2
Top Plays: malbsMd, m0NESY
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Sunday, January 19
We are down to the Round of 16 in BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1, and the winners of these matches will advance to the LAN Finals.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
Virtus Pro (#16) vs. Vitality (#6)
Virtus Pro has shaken up the starting five, bringing in a couple of new faces and turning to a new in-game leader in electroNic.
We do like the look of the new lineup, but we still believe ZywOo and Vitality will prove too much.
Prediction: 2-1 Vitality
Top Plays: ZywOo
BIG (#21) vs. G2 (#2)
This should be a competitive match too, as G2 looked shaky at times in their debut with HeavyGod. Meanwhile, BIG has an experienced in-game leader in tabseN and some highly skilled players.
No one other than m0NESY really stands out on an individual level for this one.
Prediction: 2-1 G2
Top Plays: m0NESY
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Saturday, January 18
We are down to the Round of 16 in BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1, and the winners of these matches will advance to the LAN Finals.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
FlyQuest (#22) vs. Spirit (#1)
FlyQuest was impressive in the team’s debut with regali, the new addition to the starting five, beating MIBR 2-0 to kick off BLAST Bounty in style.
Unfortunately, we don’t see that success repeating itself against donk and Team Spirit, the number one ranked player and team respectively in CS2 right now.
donk and the team’s AWPer, sh1ro, have the most upside for the Russians, who are widely expected to win this series 2-0. At time of writing, donk’s PrizePicks CS2 projection was at 38.5 kills for the first two maps.
Prediction: 2-0 Spirit
Top Plays: donk, sh1ro
Astralis (#11) vs. Natus Vincere (#3)
This should be a great match, one that we expect to be competitive and go all three maps.
Astralis has device back in the fold, and as the most impactful player on the team, that’s a huge boost. The Danes looked pretty strong in their opening round win over Wildcard, and we like their chances of putting up a fight against Na’Vi.
Even if Astralis isn’t able to pick up the upset, we think device will perform at a high level individually.
Prediction: 2-1 Na’Vi
Top Plays: device
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Friday, January 17
The BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 has arrived, and a lot of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams will be participating.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
MOUZ vs. BetBoom
#4-ranked Mousesports takes on #24-ranked BetBoom, who have a revamped starting five heading into the new year. Boombl4 will take over as the new in-game leader.
BetBoom has some talented and experienced players, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see them put up a challenge here. That said, MOUZ’s overall skill and established chemistry are on another level, so they should still emerge victorious.
Prediction: 2-1 MOUZ
Top Plays: xertioN, Jimpphat
G2 vs. B8
We view this matchup kind of similarly to the first. B8 has some up-and-comers with raw skill, but is that enough against the talent of G2? The fact this is all being played online adds another wrinkle.
G2 lost NiKo to Falcons and replaced him with HeavyGod, and while he is a strong player, he’s not at NiKo’s level, so we’re intrigued to see how this new starting five performs. m0NESY and malbsMd are our top DFS pick’em targets in this matchup.
Prediction: 2-1 G2
Top Plays: m0NESY, malbsMd
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Thursday, January 16
The BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 has arrived, and a lot of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams will be participating.
Here are our top match and player picks for the upcoming slate:
FaZe vs. M80
This should be a fun matchup. FaZe lost ropz to Vitality but then brought in EliGE as the replacement, and it’s going to be interesting to see how the American star fits in with karrigan’s crew.
M80 will be using k1to as a stand-in for reck, and this is a team that established itself as one to watch in 2024.
We expect a FaZe win, but it may not be so easy against what’s proven to be a well-organized M80 lineup. Individually, we have the most interest in EliGE, and then FaZe’s AWPer broky.
Prediction: 2-1 FaZe
Top Plays: EliGE, broky
Natus Vincere vs. Imperial fe
The late game features #3-ranked Na’Vi up against Imperial’s female team, which is ranked #124 in the world as of now.
Needless to say, it’d be a surprise if this wasn’t a dominant 2-0 series win for Aleksib’s team. The firepower for Na’Vi should be way too strong here.
We don’t love targeting anyone’s HIGHER projection in this matchup for DFS pick’em, though, considering the high potential for a blowout. LOWERS look more enticing across the board in what should be an easy win.
Prediction: 2-0 Na’Vi
Top Plays: N/A
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Wednesday, January 15
The BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 has arrived, and a lot of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams will be participating.
Here is our top player pick for the upcoming slate:
Vitality brought in ropz as a replacement for Spinx and is looking extremely strong on paper heading into the new season. In this opening round matchup at BLAST, they’ll be taking on Swedish team Metizport.
ZywOo was just voted as the third-best player of the 2024 season behind only donk and m0NESY, and he’s a player who seemingly always has a high impact.
CS2 Pick: ZywOo HIGHER Than 35.5 Kills (Maps 1+2)
In the other late matchup, Falcons-ENCE should be a very interesting showdown.
NiKo leads out a new-look Falcons starting five that looks much improved, but ENCE is not an easy opponent by any means. At the very least we know they will be well-drilled under in-game leader gla1ve.
BLAST Bounty CS2 Picks: Tuesday, January 14
The BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 has arrived, and a lot of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams will be participating.
Here is our top player pick for the upcoming slate:
HEROIC has a completely new-look starting five after the core of the previous roster was raided by Falcons, so it may take some time for the team to gel and start firing on all cylinders.
On the other hand, 3DMAX is much more established and did find more success than people anticipated last year.
Lucky is one of the most experienced and best fraggers on the squad, so we like his Underdog CS2 projection for Tuesday’s opening round matchup.
CS2 Pick: Lucky HIGHER Than 30 Kills (Maps 1+2)
Elsewhere, you can’t forget about donk, with Spirit getting set to take on a revamped fnatic team.
We are expecting a straightforward win for the Russian team, and while donk’s Underdog CS2 projection is elevated at 38.5, his upside is ridiculously high every time he’s in the server.
Liquid takes on 9 Pandas and should be able to take care of business. The American organization just snagged NertZ as a replacement for YEKINDAR, and we’re excited to see how this starting five performs. We believe they’ll be competing for major trophies this year after a promising start to Twistzz’ reign as the in-game leader.
It should be a 2-0 series win for Liquid here, though no one in particular stands out from a player perspective.
