Bills Props and Prediction
The Buffalo Bills’ offense is in a bit of a weird position at the moment. Everything runs through Josh Allen, and that isn’t going to change. James Cook is the early down running back, while Ty Johnson has handled passing situations. Those are the fixtures in this offense.
Dalton Kincaid has already been ruled out for this game, while Keon Coleman isn’t expected to play once again. Dawson Knox will play the majority of the tight end snaps, while Jackson Hawes and Keleki Latu will play limited passing snaps. Curtis Samuel has also been ruled out. Khalil Shakir will work as the top receiving option, while Joshua Palmer, Gabe Davis, and Tyrell Shavers will find snaps.
Texans Props and Predictions
Davis Mills has filled in well for CJ Stroud for the Houston Texans, but this will be by far his most difficult matchup. We’re seeing Woody Marks completely take over the backfield, and he’s the more versatile option compared to Nick Chubb. Both will see the field, though.
We know Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz are going to be locked into major snaps for Houston. It also looks like Jayden Higgins, Christian Kirk, and Xavier Hutchinson are going to play big snaps with solid secondary roles. Jaylin Noel could find snaps as well, but he won’t be an elite option.
Bills vs Texans Props and Picks Today
There are plenty of Buffalo vs Houston player props to choose from on Underdog for Thursday Night Football. Let’s dive into the Bills vs Texans predictions!
Davis Mills Lower Than 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Mills has stepped up for the Houston Texans with CJ Stroud injured. He’s recorded 703 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception on 116 pass attempts across [nearly] 3 full games. He’s seen two consecutive great matchups, though.
The veteran quarterback gets a terrible matchup against the Buffalo Bills this week, though. They’re giving up only 1 passing touchdown per game this season. The Bills have also been elite against opposing quarterbacks.
Nico Collins Lower Than 74.5 Receiving Yards
Collins has seen mixed results this season, but he’s looked outstanding with Davis Mills. Over his last three games, he’s averaging 7.7 receptions for 101 yards and 0.3 touchdowns on 11.3 targets per game.
Overall, Buffalo’s seen mixed results against wide receivers, allowing only 137.3 receiving yards per game to the position. The Bills should focus on Collins, though, limiting his overall potential. This game is also going to be played at an absurdly low pace, which will limit opportunities.
Gabe Davis Lower Than 26.5 Receiving Yards
Davis played his first game of the season for the Bills last week. He posted 3 receptions for 40 yards on 4 targets. More importantly, he only ran 15 routes, and his success on limited snaps isn’t likely to continue.
The veteran receiver also gets a terrible matchup against the Houston Texans. They’re giving up the ninth-fewest receiving yards (127.8) per game to opposing receivers. Buffalo is also a sizable favorite, suggesting they might not need to throw late in the game.
