NBA Props: Towns Looks To Roll Over Short-Handed Lakers

Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 38.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Karl-Anthony Towns recently passed the 10,000 point mark in his career with a recent win over the Denver Nuggets, as the first thing he did was pay tribute to his late mother, Jacqueline Towns–Cruz.

In that game, KAT put up 32 points, four rebounds, and four assists – giving him the over of this particular line.

Going up against the Los Angeles Lakers, Towns should be able to get about 30 points if not more, as the Lakers give up the fourth-most points to opponents inside the paint.

The Lakers do rebound the ball very well, but most of us know that KAT is more than capable of grabbing close to double-digits in rebounding, so expect him to get closer to that number in this one despite his relatively low total in his last game.

BetPrep has the line at 40.5 with a -112 juice to the over, so we are catching some relative value there.

Nikola Jokic OVER 47.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Nikola Jokic has been on an absolute tear recently, averaging 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game in his last five games.

In all but one of those games, Jokic has hit the over on this particular line.

The Denver Nuggets will be going up against the Atlanta Hawks tonight, who give up the 10th most points per game in the paint this season to opposing teams.

Life for the Hawks will only become more difficult in this one, as Jokic averages nearly 70 percent shooting on over 10 field goal attempts per game within 10 feet of the basket.

Points alone could very well get Jokic close to hitting the over in this one, but he will also get his rebounds and assists.

BetPrep has the line at 46.5 with a -118 juice to the over.

Donovan Mitchell OVER 25.5 Points

Donovan Mitchell is one of the best young scorers in the league. There’s no question about it.

In his last seven games, he’s only missed out on hitting the over of this line once, but it’s not like he was that far away, as he had 22 points.

In his two most recent games, he put up 28 and 27 points, leading the Utah Jazz to two blowout victories.

Going up against the San Antonio Spurs, he’ll likely face little resistance, as the Spurs are a team trending towards the bottom of the league while the Jazz are looking to get every win possible to lock up one of the best records in the league.

Trae Young OVER 26.5 Points

Trae Young has been on absolute fire in his last 11 games, averaging 30.6 points per game on 48.8 percent shooting including nearly 41 percent from three.

In his last time out, he had 28 points in an easy win over the Orlando Magic, as he didn’t have to use all of his energies to put that team away.

Going up against the Nuggets, however, he’ll need to perform at his peak of powers, as he’ll have to do whatever it takes to match Jokic point for point.

He’s only missed the over twice in that 11 game span, but he scored 25 points in both games. This is an extremely generous line.

Anthony Edwards OVER 22.5 Points

Anthony Edwards is coming off a historic performance, as he became the youngest player in league history to hit at least 10 three-pointers in a game.

In his last two games, he’s hit the over of this particular line, as he went off for 38 points in that historic performance which came in a victory against the Nuggets.

However, in his five games prior to that one, he hit the over of this line just once.

When Ant is feeling good, he’s feeling good. It’s hard to stop him when he’s on fire on the court, and it’s hard to hate on his confidence either.

Remember, this game will be televised on ESPN, and Edwards certainly loves the limelight. He should put his best foot forward in this primetime contest, so look for the electric second-year star to fly past 22.5 points.
