Best College Basketball Player Props Today: Wednesday, Nov. 20

Justin Bales runs through his favorite NCAAB player props of the day.

Ace Bailey Over 17.5 Points

Bailey missed Rutgers’ first two games of the season, but he returned in a win against Monmouth. He posted 17 points in 30 minutes of action. Overall, he saw 10 FGA, 3 3PA, and 8 FTA in that game.

The most important aspect of that contest was that Bailey was clearly healthy. He flashed the scoring potential while playing aggressively on defense. He also saw 30 minutes in a 17-point win.

Bailey played in one other game for Rutgers, which was a preseason matchup against St. John’s. He scored a team-high 25 points in 36 minutes. In that game, he also saw a team-high 18 FGA, 9 3PA, and 7 FTA.

We know Bailey’s raw scoring upside, as he averaged over 30 points per game as a senior in high school and posted several 40+ point games as well.

Bailey was the number two overall recruit coming out of high school. He has the talent to be the top option, but it just so happened that he was in the same class as Cooper Flagg. Some are arguing the Rutgers product could be the first overall pick over Flagg in the NBA Draft.

Regardless, we know that Bailey and Dylan Harper are going to be the focal points of this Rutgers offense. They get a matchup against Merrimack, who is a slow, defensive-minded team. TJ Long, Joe Bamisile, Phillip Russell, and Caden Pierce all posted 18+ points against them. Dalen Davis also missed with 16 points.

Merrimack doesn’t have anyone who can guard Bailey, and he should have another efficient scoring game for the Scarlet Knights.
