You better believe we’ll go hard in the paint with college basketball prop bets for conference tournaments and March Madness as well!

College Basketball Player Props Today: Monday, Dec. 2

Justin Bales runs through his favorite NCAAB player props of the day.

Thomas Sorber More Than 22.5 PR

Sorber’s been a bit of a freshman phenom for the Georgetown Hoyas this season. He’s averaging 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 27.4 minutes per game. He’s topped out at 25 points and 13 rebounds in single games this season.

Sorber only owns a 22.3% shot rate this season, but he also boasts an outstanding 46.3% FT rate. He’s averaging 4.4 FTA and 8.1 FGA inside the arc per game this season, which is important for this matchup. He also enters this game with 11.2% offensive and 26.0% defensive rebounding rates.

Sorber gets an elite matchup against UMBC tonight. Georgetown will be drastically more talented than the Retrievers, and they’re projected to score north of 80 points. UMBC allows you to score inside the arc, and they’re also willing to foul. Furthermore, they give up a high offensive rebounding rate, which leads to easy buckets.

UMBC’s only played one high-level team this season, losing 103-54 to Penn State. Starter Yanic Konan Niederhauser posted 18 points and 9 rebounds in only 24 minutes. Backup center Kachi Nzeh also recorded 4 points and 6 rebounds in only 13 minutes.

Sorber has generally played less talented teams this season with Notre Dame being the only team to rank inside the top 240 teams on KenPom. I’m expecting Georgetown to take the path of least resistance in this game, which means Sorber should find a few easy shots, and he could end with a couple of offensive put-backs as well.

We’re getting a bit too low of a total for a player who’s already beaten this number with solely his points this season.
