Anthony Davis More Than 43.5 PRA

Davis is one of the best bigs in the NBA. He’s averaging 31.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 35.1 minutes per game. He also recently had one of his best games of the season, posting 40 points with 12 rebounds and 2 assists against the San Antonio Spurs. 

Davis is an efficient scorer, and he’s averaging 19.2 FGA, 2.3 3PA, and 10.8 FTA per game. He currently ranks fourth in the NBA, averaging 20.5 rebound chances per game. Finally, he’s averaging 4.3 potential assists per game in 2024-25. 

Davis gets an elite matchup against the Utah Jazz tonight. They’ve struggled everywhere against centers, allowing them to average the second-most points (26.7), sixth-most rebounds (16.4), and sixth-most assists (5.0) per game this season. Overall, centers are averaging 48.1 PRA per game against them. 

Davis has consistently found success when given the minutes this season. The spread is large tonight, but I’d anticipate the Los Angeles big would be a major part of a blowout because of the matchup. There is some risk involved because of that aspect, but he should dominate Utah for as long as he’s on the floor.

LaMelo Ball More Than 27.5 Points

We’ve consistently been using Ball in this article, and I’m going back to the well once again. He’s an outstanding scorer, averaging 29.7 points in 33.9 minutes per game. He’s also averaging 23.5 FGA, 12.8 3PA, and 5.2 FTA per game this season. 

Ball’s a volume scorer, and he’s found plenty of success in recent games. He’s posted 30+ points in four of his last five games. He’s also taken 27+ FGA and 14+ 3PA in each of those four games. 

Ball gets another outstanding matchup tonight, as he’ll face off against the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn’s struggled against scoring point guards, allowing them to average the sixth-most points (26.0) points per game. The only major concern is that they aren’t allowing three-pointers to the position. 

I have some concerns that Ball could struggle to find points if he isn’t hitting threes, but he’s also a player who will create his own opportunities with deep shots. He doesn’t necessarily need to be open at the arc. 

Overall, Ball is too good of a scorer to ignore in this type of matchup. He’s been on fire recently, and I don’t expect that to stop tonight.
