Best NBA Bets Today: Saturday, Dec. 3

Spencer Limbach runs through his top NBA pick for today’s slate.

Timberwolves-Thunder Under 231.5

Karl-Anthony Towns is out for Minnesota. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is questionable for Oklahoma City. In other words, both teams could be without their top offensive players.

Even if Gilgeous-Alexander plays, the under seems like a good move. Minnesota has fallen under the total in 13-of-22 games this season, including four of its last six. These teams played twice earlier in the season, and the total points were 223 and 222 respectively. Both totals were set at 226 for those games, and that should probably be the number for Saturday’s contest.

So we are down a few top-scoring options in this game and getting around five points of value. That’s enough to warrant a play on Under 231.5 while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Denver Nuggets -2.5 (at Hawks)

The Nuggets are healthy at the moment, and they are living up to their potential with four straight wins. Denver fell into a funk when Nikola Jokic missed a few games in mid-November, but the MVP is back in the lineup and leading the Nuggets to victory.

This is a tricky road matchup at Atlanta, but the Nuggets are the better team at the moment. The Hawks have lost three of their last four games, including some bad losses to Houston and an injury-plagued Miami team.

Give me the better team with momentum to cover the small spread on the road.

Let’s roll with the Nuggets -2.5 while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Best NBA Bets Today: Wednesday, Nov. 30

Sacramento Kings -4.5 (vs. Pacers)

The Kings are a streaky team. They won seven in a row before dropping three straight outings. I’m willing to bet that Sacramento gets back to its winning ways at home against the Indiana Pacers.

Sacramento has had success at home this season, and it has also gone 6-3 against the Eastern Conference. You better believe De’Aaron Fox and company will be motivated to get back on track in front of their home crowd.

The Pacers are in the midst of a west coast road trip, and this will be the third game of that stint. Indiana has overachieved with a 12-8 record at this point in the season, but the Pacers are just 5-4 on the road.

This will be an interesting matchup aside from the betting implications of this game, as Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Domantas Sabonis, and others will be playing against their former team following last February’s blockbuster trade between the Pacers and Kings.

Let’s roll with another Kings -4.5 while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Blazers-Clippers Under 211.5

I hate to sound like a broken record to those who read this article regularly, but here we go with another Clippers under. We aren’t going to ride this trend for the entire season, but it’s a great bet at the moment. Here’s why:

  • The Clippers have gone under the total in 16-of-21 games. They are 13-4 to the under against the Western Conference.
  • The Blazers are 11-7-1 to the under this year (61.1%).
  • Los Angeles is without John Wall and Paul George. Kawhi Leonard is questionable for this game.
  • The Blazers are without Damian Lillard, which curbs their scoring ability.
  • Portland has failed to reach 100 points in two of four games since Lillard’s injury.
  • These are two of the slowest teams in the NBA: Clippers rank 26th in pace and Blazers are 28th.

Let’s roll with another Clippers under while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Spencer Limbach runs through his top NBA pick for today’s slate.

Cleveland Cavaliers +2.5 (at Toronto)

The Clippers went under the total (yet again) and we cashed our best NBA bet on Sunday. That makes five winners in our last six tries. Let’s keep the momentum!

For Monday, we are taking the better overall team getting points on the road. I’m talking about the Cleveland Cavaliers covering the +2.5 point spread at the Toronto Raptors.

The Cavs are playing on a back-to-back after beating the Detroit Pistons 102-94. Cleveland has some injury concerns with Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert questionable. Hopefully at least one of them will return for this Eastern Conference clash.

On the other hand, Toronto is dealing with injuries as well, as Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes are both questionable.

Cleveland has won four of its last five games, and the Cavs have been money in the bank outside of a tough west coast road trip. Look for Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland to lead the Cavs to victory on Monday.

The Pick: Cavaliers +2.5 | -110 at BetMGM Sportsbook

Best NBA Bets Today: Sunday, Nov. 27

Clippers-Pacers Under 222.5

If you’re a regular to this column, then you already know what this is. The Clippers are still an “under machine” and we are looking towards that cash cow once again.

The Clippers are 15-5 to the under, and I don’t see that turning around anytime soon. This is a defensive squad that plays at a relatively slow pace. Furthermore, LAC is 9-2 to the under at home, and Sunday’s game will be played in Los Angeles.

On the other hand, the Pacers are pretty neutral when it comes to the total. Indiana is 9-8-1 to the over this season, so there’s not much to discern on that front. However, the Pacers are 4-2 to the under when facing a top-five defense. The Clippers fall into that category, ranking fourth overall in defensive efficiency this season.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are still out for Los Angeles, so that’s two fewer scorers to worry about.

Let’s take the Clippers and Pacers Under 222.5 total points while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Best NBA Bets Today: Saturday, Nov. 26

Dallas Mavericks -2.5 (at Raptors)

There will be ups and downs in this best NBA bets series throughout the season, so how about we celebrate the “ups” while we are riding them? We have won four straight days now, as the Clippers and Nuggets (barely) went under 218.5 total points on Friday. Let’s make it five in a row!

For Saturday, we are taking the Mavericks with a short spread on the road against the Raptors. This line doesn’t make much sense. Some people will view it as a “trap line”, but I’m trying not to overthink it.

Toronto is banged up at the moment. Pascal Siakam is still out. Scottie Barnes has been ruled out. Fred VanVleet is questionable for this game. Toronto rolled out a shortened lineup without those players on Wednesday and lost by 14 at home to the Brooklyn Nets. Honestly, a similar result could play out on Saturday.

Dallas hasn’t played since Wednesday, so it should be ready to go for this road matchup. Let’s not overthink it and roll with the Mavs -2.5 while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Best NBA Bets Today: Friday, Nov. 25

Clippers-Nuggets Under 218.5

If you frequent this column, then you know I love playing the Clippers under the total when the chance arises. Well, the opportunity is in front of us on Friday!

The Clippers have been an absolute under-machine this year, and that should continue against the Nuggets. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have both been ruled out for the Clippers. While that hurts the defense, you better believe LAC will slow this game down to a grind without their top stars. They also have fewer avenues to easy buckets with these guys out.

The Nuggets are getting Nikola Jokic back, but I don’t believe he’s enough to offset the losses on the other side. This one should stay under the total, driven by the Clippers usual slower pace and strong defense at home.

Let’s roll with the Clippers-Nuggets Under 218.5 while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

Best NBA Bets Today: Wednesday, Nov. 23

Timberwolves -2.5 (at Pacers)

The Timberwolves were a mess early in the season. They were having an identity crisis with Rudy Gobert on the floor. Minnesota still wants to run, score in bunches, and play fast like last season. However, Gobert doesn’t really fit into those plans.

It has taken some figuring out, but it seems like the Wolves are meshing at the moment. That has resulted in four straight victories, with three of them coming on the road.

The Pacers are heating up as well, winning five straight games. However, the quality of those wins isn’t impressive, as they beat the banged-up Raptors, Hornets, Rockets, and Magic twice. That’s not exactly a who’s who of the Eastern Conference.

I’m not short-changing the Pacers for coming out of the gates better than expected, but I believe this line is too slim. The Timberwolves are the more talented squad, and they are brimming with confidence at the moment. This is a sizable step up in competition compared to Indiana’s last five games, and I believe the Pacers will come up short.

Let’s roll with the Timberwolves -1.5 while catching -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.

The Pick: Timberwolves -1.5 | -110 at BetMGM Sportsbook

Best NBA Bets Today: Wednesday, Nov. 23

Sacramento Kings -2.5 (at Grizzlies)

The Kings are the better team of these two at the moment. Memphis is dealing with plenty of injuries as well:

  • Ja Morant – Doubtful
  • Jaren Jackson Jr. – Highly Questionable
  • Desmond Bane – OUT

That’s essentially the entire core of the Grizzlies, which led them to the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference last season. On top of that, Memphis has lost three of its last four games, which includes double-digit losses to the Wizards, Pelicans, and Nets.

Meanwhile, the Kings are rolling with six straight wins. That includes some impressive victories over the Warriors, Cavaliers, and Nets. Sacramento has plenty of momentum and a clean injury report to boot.

Best NBA Bets Today: Monday, Nov. 21

Spencer Limbach runs through his top NBA pick for today’s slate.

Cleveland Cavaliers -2.5 (vs. Hawks)

The Cavs have been an absolute buzzsaw at home, going 6-1 straight up and 5-1-1 against the spread. Their only home loss (and failure to cover) came on Nov. 13 against the Timberwolves. Superstar Donovan Mitchell did not play in that game.

On the other side, Atlanta has been a decent team this season with a 10-6 overall record, but consistency has been an issue. The Hawks beat the Bucks on the road last Monday, but don’t let that fool you. Atlanta was 1-3 in their previous four road games before that contest, which included a 30-point loss at Toronto.

This is the first meeting of the year between these Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls, and I’m taking the more consistent team to cover a short spread at home.

Let’s roll with the Cavaliers -2.5 with -110 odds at BetMGM. Don’t have an account? View our BetMGM Review to maximize your welcome offer up to $1,000.
