Warriors Preview: Moody Steps Up as Curry Rests
Golden State’s 118–107 win over Phoenix snapped a brief two-game skid, thanks to a vintage team effort. Moses Moody was named Kerr’s “player of the game,” exploding for a season-high 24 points off the bench on 7-of-11 shooting (5-of-8 from deep). Curry, despite battling illness, led the Dubs scorers with 28 points before being ruled out for tonight’s matchup.
The Warriors are averaging 117.6 points per game (14th in the NBA) while shooting 38% from three (10th). They remain top-10 in assists (27.7 per game) and steals (9.1 per game), although turnovers (25th) and rebounding (21st) remain weak spots.
Golden State’s road form has been shaky at 1–3, with a -6.2 scoring margin away from Chase Center. With Curry sidelined, expect Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski to shoulder larger roles.
Kings Predicting & Preview: Finally Home
The Kings return home desperate for stability after a rough start. Despite offensive fireworks (116.3 PPG, 48.7% FG), their defense ranks 26th in the NBA (121.0 points allowed per game).
Domantas Sabonis remains the heart of Sacramento’s system, averaging 14.5 PPG and a league-best 14.2 RPG. He’s recorded a double-double in every game this season. The backcourt features new additions Dennis Schröder and Russell Westbrook , alongside Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.
Matchup to Watch: Draymond Green vs. Domantas Sabonis
It’s a playoff rematch of two fierce competitors. Green, the Warriors’ defensive anchor, will try to slow down Sabonis, who powers the Kings’ offense as both a rebounder and playmaker. Their last postseason meeting in 2023 went seven games and featured some of the most physical basketball of that year’s playoffs.
Green is questionable, but if he suits up, expect another heated battle inside — a key determinant in whether Golden State can overcome Curry’s absence.
Warriors-Kings Props, Picks & Predictions
There are plenty of Warriors vs Kings props to choose from on Underdog for Wednesday. Let’s dive into the Warriors vs Kings predictions!
Domantas Sabonis Props – Double Double
Sabonis averages a double-double and is rested, and with Sacramento’s pace (13th in the NBA) and Golden State’s potential fatigue on the second leg of a back-to-back, Sabonis has a chance for a big night.
Jonathan Kuminga Props – Pick: Over 21.5 Points (-115)
With Curry sidelined and Butler questionable, Kuminga becomes Golden State’s top scoring option. Moody’s outburst was largely an outlier and more points should head Kuminga’s way. He’s averaging 16.4 PPG and only crossed this number twice this season, but Sacramento’s defense has allowed the fourth-most points per game this season.
