Suns vs Kings Props & Predictions – Wednesday, October 22
This offseason was seismic for Phoenix. The front office ripped up last year’s script, reworking the roster around Devin Booker and a wave of younger scorers and defenders.
Sacramento walked into the preseason with a roster that can cause trouble for anyone: frontcourt toughness, versatile wings, and a core that plays with purpose. But the Kings’ close of camp was rough.
Domantas Sabonis, their fulcrum at the 5, suffered a hamstring strain late in the preseason and is expected to be reevaluated; he is likely to miss the opener. On top of that, Keegan Murray sustained a thumb injury requiring surgery and will be sidelined for multiple weeks.

Suns Predictions and Preview
The biggest immediate story is health.
Jalen Green — one of the marquee additions who was expected to provide wing scoring and shot-creation — injured a hamstring in training camp and aggravated it during a preseason trip. He will not play in the season opener and will be re-evaluated in the coming days.
His absence matters: Green’s quickness and shot-making were going to be primary answers to spacing and secondary scoring needs around Devin Booker.
Booker himself is being monitored as the staff manages workloads, but the latest door shows him trending toward active — just watched for any minute limits.
Phoenix’s preseason was a mix of encouraging flashes and the typical rust of integrating new pieces. Young guards and wings took advantage of open minutes; rookies and late-summer signees flashed upside on both ends.
The new coaching staff wants this team to run, cut, and defend in waves, but soft-tissue injuries and unfamiliar rotations mean the Suns might struggle with continuity early.
Kings Predictions and Preview
Sacramento loses muscle and continuity inside — Sabonis fetching rebounds, initiating from the elbows, and finding cutters is a huge part of how they function.
Without him, veteran bigs and bench centers will have to step into larger minutes, and the Kings will have to adjust their offensive flow.
Still, Sacramento showed in preseason that their young wings and guards can create offense in transition and attack mismatches.
They’ve got physicality and length on the wings and can make this a slog — which is bad news for a Suns team trying to find rhythm. The Kings’ identity is still rooted in hustle, second-chance points, and making opponents execute in the half-court.
For bettors, the Kings’ short-term outlook depends on how their backups handle Sabonis’s minutes and whether the pregame adjustments blunt Phoenix’s blow-by attacks. If Sacramento wins the rebound battle and turns possessions into transition, this game stays tight.

Best Bet: Devin Booker Player Props – Higher Than 36.5 Points + Assists
With Jalen Green currently out of the equation, Booker should have an unbelievable usage rate. Durant and Beal are gone, and while we can’t make any direct correlations, we can see what Beal did last year when the other usage hogs were off the court.
Booker saw a near 4% usage increase without Durant and Beal on the floor last year, with a 1.4% assist boost.
Other notable Kings vs Suns props:
- Zach LaVine Player Props – Higher/Lower Than 22.5 Points
- Dillon Brooks Player Props – Higher/Lower Than 14.5 Points
- Grayson Allen Player Props – Higher/Lower Than 20.5 PRA
