We have four more Club World Cup matches on Wednesday.
Here’s the schedule and the approximate odds for each game:
Man City (-2000) vs. Wydad Casablanca (+3500)
Real Madrid (-280) vs. Al-Hilal (+600)
Pachuca (+160) vs. Salzburg (+165)
Al Ain (+850) vs. Juventus (-290)
We have a few heavy hitters playing today, including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus, all of whom are strong favorites in the odds. It’s the Citizens, though, that are in by far the best spot of the day in that early match.
Below we break down our top player picks for the upcoming slate:
Man City Attack
UPDATE: Erling Haaland is not starting. It’ll be Omar Marmoush, Jeremy Doku and Savinho in the starting 11, with Phil Foden and newcomer Rayan Cherki also getting the nod.
Our top picks are Cherki and Marmoush HIGHER Than 0.5 Goals + Assists in this favorable matchup for City.
Whoever ends up starting for City in the more advanced positions should be considered in the opener against Wydad. Kevin De Bruyne is no longer on the team and there are some new faces who could feature on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola’s men are huge -2000 moneyline favorites and should win by multiple goals. Erling Haaland’s goal projection is at 1.5 instead of 0.5, and Omar Marmoush and Savinho could be worth a look too if starting.
We’re also eager to see if Rayan Cherki picks up a start — he’s a big talent who is a strong fantasy performer.
Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid looks locked and loaded for the coming season.
Xabi Alonso has taken over as coach and the team also brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold to strengthen an already elite squad featuring Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius and more.
Real Madrid will take on Al Hilal today, and we’ll be tracking Mbappe’s status closely. He has apparently been dealing with an illness, but if he’s active, he’s hard to ignore because of his immense quality and the talent surrounding him.
Vinicius and Rodrygo have also been constant dangers in attack for the club, while we’ll be considering Alexander-Arnold’s assist projection given his passing ability and involvement on set pieces.

We have interest in Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, who had a tremendous Bundesliga campaign. He scored 21 goals and added four assists in 30 matches played.
This comes after a 2023/24 season in which he scored 28 goals in 28 league matches (25 starts).
Dortmund is favored at around -150 on the moneyline for this opener against Fluminense at MetLife Stadium.

Lautaro Martinez
In the late match, Inter Milan will take on Monterrey. The Italian outfit was humbled in a major way by PSG in the Champions League Final but will now try to bounce back in the Club World Cup, starting on Tuesday night.
Lautaro Martinez is the best natural goalscorer on the team. He had 12 goals and three assists in 30 Serie A matches and totaled nine goals in 14 Champions League appearances this past season.

There are three more 2025 Club World Cup matches on the schedule for Monday.
Here’s the overview and the odds for each game:
Chelsea (-500) vs. Los Angeles FC (+1400)
Boca Juniors (+495) vs. Benfica (-165)
Flamengo RJ (-265) vs. Esperance Tunis (+750)
The Blues are the heaviest favorites at around -500 against Los Angeles FC, but both Flamengo and Benfica are firmly favored too.

Cole Palmer
Assuming he’s in the starting 11, Cole Palmer is worth a look in a fixture Chelsea is expected to control.
According to Football Reference, Palmer had 15 goals and eight assists across 37 EPL matches while leading the top-flight league in shot-creating actions this past season.
Though he wasn’t quite as clinical as the prior year, Palmer still made his presence felt week in and week out, and we expect more of the same in this match against Los Angeles FC.

Angel Di Maria
While Di Maria is getting up there in age, he’s still proven he can influence matches against even the best of competition.
Di Maria’s goal/assist projection is interesting considering how heavily involved he is in attack and on set pieces, but it should be noted he’s unlikely to play the full 90 minutes. Vangelis Pavlidis is another player to consider for Benfica.

Giorgian de Arrascaeta
To wrap up the day, we’re considering Giorgian de Arrascaeta, who has been instrumental in 2025.
