76ers Preview: The Maxey Show Rolls On
Here’s the thing: Philadelphia is 5-1 without Joel Embiid playing heavy minutes, and that tells you everything about Tyrese Maxey’s MVP-caliber start.
The Kentucky product is averaging 33.7 PPG, 9.0 APG, and 4.8 RPG while shooting an absurd 46.4% from three on 9.3 attempts per game. Maxey has scored at least 26 points in all six games this season—he’s not just hot, he’s nuclear.
Big news for the 76ers is that sophomore guard Jared McCaain is on track to make his season debut tonight. He was ultra-impressive before last year’s season-ending injury.
The 76ers lead the NBA in scoring at 125.7 PPG, and their 3-0 road record isn’t a fluke. They won by 1 point in Boston (117-116), by 5 in overtime at Washington (139-134), and by 24 at Brooklyn (129-105). VJ Edgecombe has been the perfect co-pilot, averaging 20.3 PPG and 5.0 APG, while Kelly Oubre Jr. chips in 19.5 PPG and 6.3 RPG.
Bottom line: Philly’s offense is a buzzsaw, and Maxey’s usage rate (30%+) means he’s touching the ball every possession.
Bulls Preview: Giddey The Triple-Double Machine
Josh Giddey has been one of the league’s biggest surprises. The former Thunder guard is averaging 22.2 PPG, 9.3 RPG, and 8.7 APG—nearly triple-double numbers every night.
He’s posted back-to-back elite performances: 32 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists vs New York on Oct 31, then 23 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists (triple-double) in Sunday’s loss at MSG.
Nikola Vučević gives Chicago a monster presence inside, averaging 19.3 PPG and 12.3 RPG this year. Matas Buzelis (15.7 PPG) has become a legit scoring threat, and Tre Jones (12.2 PPG, 6.3 APG, 60% from three) runs the second unit beautifully.
The Bulls are 4-0 at United Center, averaging 126 PPG at home with wins over Detroit (115-111), Atlanta (128-123), Sacramento (126-113), and New York (135-125). Their ball movement is elite—they lead the NBA in assists at 30.2 per game, and the crowd energy at home is real.
Sixers-Bulls Props, Picks & Predictions
There are plenty of Sixers vs Bulls props to choose from on Underdog for Tuesday. Let’s dive into the Sixers vs Bulls predictions!
Tyrese Maxey Props – Pick: Higher Than 27.5 Points
I’m taking Maxey to continue his early-season dominance. Per Hollinger, the Bulls rank 17th in defensive efficiency and are top 10 in pace. They were one of the fastest teams that lacked any defensive resistance last season, so I am buying into the 76ers tonight.
Josh Giddey Props – Higher Than 38.5 PRA
The Sixers have been scoring at will, but they haven’t had any defenders prove they can stop an opponent’s wing players. That could change when Paul George returns, but he remains out. I like this to be a competitive shootout, with plenty of stats stuffing the box score.
