Ravens vs Steelers Predictions For Sunday Night Football – Jan. 4
The headline isn’t just Rodgers vs. Lamar—it’s who isn’t playing. DK Metcalf is suspended and will miss this game. Darnell Washington is OUT. That changes the entire complexion of the Steelers’ offense. Aaron Rodgers loses his top target and his massive blocking tight end in a game for the division title. Let’s break down how to bet this new reality.
Lamar Jackson has been cleared to play, which is the only news that matters for Baltimore. Despite missing four games this season, he’s thrown 18 touchdowns and kept the offense efficient. The real X-factor, however, is Derrick Henry. The King has been unstoppable, leading the league with 1,469 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Aaron Rodgers experiment has been a success (3,028 yards, 23 TDs), but tonight is the ultimate test. He is without DK Metcalf (850 yards, 6 TDs) due to suspension. He is without Darnell Washington (out). That leaves Rodgers with Adam Thielen, Calvin Austin III, and Pat Freiermuth as his primary weapons.
The game plan has to shift. Expect a heavy dose of Jaylen Warren (892 yards, 6 TDs), who has been excellent as the RB1. That being said, the Steelers also have an “RB1B” in Kenneth Gainwell, who has been a beast catching checkdowns from Rodgers.
Rodgers will have to play “small ball”—quick passes, and Gainwell is in a prime spot to add to his career-high 65 receptions from check-down master A-Rod.

Ravens vs Steelers Predictions: Best Sunday Night Football Player Prop Bets
NFL Player Prop Bet – Derrick Henry Higher Than 90.5 Rushing Yards
The King has 1,469 yards this season. He’s averaging 91.8 yards per game. In a cold-weather game where Baltimore wants to hide their secondary and protect a lead, Henry is the closer. He’s hit this number in 9 of his 16 games.
I’m also convinced Lamar hasn’t been close to 100% across the last 2-3 months of football. Pittsburgh has also shown some heavy schematic flaws in defending the run (the James Cook/Bills matchup keeps coming to mind), and Henry should see a ton of volume.
NFL Player Prop Bet – Kenneth Gainwell Higher Than 29.5 Receiving Yards
The Steelers will be without two pass-catching options tonight, but you could argue that Gainwell has been Rodgers’ No. 1 target in the second half of the season.
Since Week 10, Gainwell ranks second on Pittsburgh with a 16% target share and 303 receiving yards. Who’s No. 1? It’s Metcalf, who is out for tonight’s game.
Good luck!
