NBA Props and Predictions Today: Saturday, October 25

We’re back for another season of NBA props and predictions! It’s the first Saturday of the season, so let’s start it off with a bang!

Miles Bridges Props Today

The Hornets’ offense had everything working in their first game of the year. They erupted for 134 points, and nine different players scored in double figures. That included Bridges, who had 18 points in just 31 minutes of work.

That said, the Hornets were playing the Nets in that contest, who have the potential to be an absolute disaster this season.

They’re 29th in defensive efficiency through their first two games, and they were 23rd in that department last year. The Hornets have plenty of offensive talent, so it’s not surprising that they were able to put the ball in the hoop in that matchup.

Bridges thrived more on efficiency than volume in his first game of the year. He took just 11 shots, and his usage rate checked in at just 17.5%.

That represents a massive decrease from the 28.0% mark he posted last year. Bridges got to play most of the season without LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller in the lineup, but with both guys currently active, that won’t be the case on Saturday.

Bridges made up for his lackluster volume by shooting 6-11 from the field and 3-6 from 3-point range. That’s not going to be an every-night occurrence. He should play a bit more on Saturday, assuming this game is more competitive, but this number still feels a bit too high.

Aaron Wiggins Props Today

The Thunder are 2-0 to start their championship defense this season, but they’ve had to work extremely hard for it. They’ve needed double overtime in each of their first two games, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ultimately pulling the team across the finish line.

However, the Thunder are pretty banged up at the moment. Jalen Williams and Alex Caruso are both out of the lineup, along with a few additional role players.

Cason Wallace is questionable after missing the team’s last outing, and Chet Holmgren is also questionable for Saturday’s matchup vs. the Hawks. It’s a long season, so don’t be surprised if OKC exercises some caution with these guys early in the year.

The good news is that they have tremendous depth to make up for any deficiencies. Wiggins would start for a lot of teams, and he’s a prime target for me personally whenever he’s expected to play extended minutes.

He drew the start in the Thunder’s last contest in place of Wallace, and he responded with 23 points. In 13 games with at least 30 minutes last season, Wiggins averaged 21.4 points per game. The only question with him is how many opportunities he’ll get on a given night. As long as he draws another start, fire him up with confidence.

Where to play: Aaron Wiggins Points – Higher Than 19.5 | Underdog
