Best NBA DFS Picks Today & Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice – Saturday, 11/22
Who’s going to smash tonight? We’ll dive into our favorite NBA DFS picks for Saturday, Nov. 22. There could be a ton of news that breaks later, but we’ll check out the best early plays on the board.
NBA DFS Pick Today – Derik Queen
Look out, the Derik Queen breakout is amongst us. The Pelicans are finally playing their lottery pick stud more than 30 minutes per game, regardless of Zion Williamson’s availability.
When you watch him play, he has that rare blend of size, skill, and speed. While sometimes it looks like these big guys are moving in slow motion, you have to remember they’re seven feet tall. Queen is special with the ball for his build, and he knows how to use his body.
He’s been filling up the state sheet, with 53 and 46 DraftKings points, respectively, across his last two outings. More importantly, his usage rates are insane for a rookie lately, logging at least a 33% usage in back-to-back games. That’s a huge indicator.
Perhaps there will be a bit of sticker shock (especially on FanDuel) at his new price range, but I’m expecting Queen to not only keep this role but to thrive in it.
NBA DFS Pick Today – Jalen Johnson
Johnson is more of a higher-floor, cash game play on today’s small slate. There aren’t a ton of studs to pay for, and while his price tag his inflated, it’s warranted.
Johnson has modest usage rates in the mid-20s, but he’s absolutely filling up the stat sheet this season. His potential assists are impressive, and he’s rebounding the ball like crazy.
Believe it or not, Johnson still has a ceiling at $9,700. When he has one of those games where he logs a 30% usage rate, he’s going for at least 60 DKP, and he’ll break a slate.
