Miami Heat Prediction and Preview
The Miami Heat are dealing with a few key injuries tonight. Norman Powell, Pelle Larsson, and Keshad Johnson are all questionable tonight. Powell is the obvious key of this trio.
The Heat have a relatively set rotation, assuming everyone is healthy. Tyler Herro, Powell, and Bam Adebayo are the top options in the offense. They’ll find the majority of the usage. Davion Mitchell and Andrew Wiggins are also expected to find plenty of minutes, and they both come with plenty of upside.
Kel’el Ware and Jaime Jaquez will also find minutes, but they’ll generally be limited to minutes in the 20s. We could also see Dru Smith, Larsson, Nikola Jovic, and Simone Fontecchio, but none of them are going to play a role that matters for fantasy/betting purposes.
Dallas Mavericks Prediction and Preview
Dereck Lively has already been ruled out for the Dallas Mavericks, while Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington are questionable.
If Washington suits up, he’ll have a major role in the rotation. Anthony Davis is the obvious player that is going to find the most usage here, though. Cooper Flagg is another player who will find high-end minutes and solid usage. We could also see Ryan Nembhard, Naji Marshall, and Max Christie play bigger minutes, but they’re secondary options.
We’ll also see players like Klay Thompson, Brandon Williams, and D’Angelo Russell find minutes, but they’ve each been limited in recent games.
Mavericks vs. Heat Props and Picks Today
There are plenty of Miami vs Dallas player props to choose from on Underdog for Wednesday night’s slate of games. Let’s dive into the Mavericks vs. Heat predictions!
Ryan Nembhard Player Props – Higher Than 4.5 Assists
Nembard is averaging 3.7 assists on 6.8 potential assists in only 15.7 minutes per game this season. He’s played 15+ minutes in only 5 games this season, averaging 5.8 assists per game. He also played 30+ minutes in his last game, posting 10 assists against the Denver Nuggets.
The rookie gets a solid matchup against the Miami Heat. They’re giving up the sixth-most assists (9.4) per game to opposing point guards. Nembhard is expected to play solid minutes tonight, making this total a bit too low.
PJ Washington Player Props – Higher Than 22.5 PR
Washington’s found plenty of success for the Dallas Mavericks this season. He’s averaging 16.0 points on 13.3 FGA, 4.7 3PA, and 4.0 FTA in 31.7 minutes per game. He’s also averaging 8.3 rebounds on 13.3 rebound chances per game.
The veteran gets a plus matchup against the Miami Heat. They’re giving up the fifth-most points (25.3) and rebounds (11.4) per game to opposing power forwards. If Washington plays tonight, he should see more of his minutes at power forward, giving him an elite ceiling.
Bam Adebayo Player Props – Higher Than 28.5 PR
Adebayo continues to be a top option for the Miami Heat. He’s averaging 19.4 points on 14.5 FGA, 5.2 3PA, and 4.9 FTA in 30.4 minutes per game. He’s averaging 8.6 rebounds on 13.4 rebound chances per game as well.
The Dallas Mavericks have consistently struggled against centers this season. They’re giving up the fourth-most points (25.3) and seventh-most rebounds (15.6) per game to the position. I have some concerns about Anthony Davis playing the majority of minutes at center, but it likely won’t matter.
