While everyone’s going to be focused on the big names and obvious plays, our guy Matt LaMarca is gravitating toward some sneaky value in the player props market. Let’s get into it.

Isaac TeSlaa Receiving Yards – Higher Than 10.5
TeSlaa was one of the buzziest rookies during training camp, and he followed that up with a monster preseason. He caught 10 of 14 targets for 153 yards, and he led all players with three total touchdowns.
He also stands out as a really intriguing prospect. He was one of the most athletic receivers in the entire 2025 draft class. His 9.93 Relative Athletic Score ranked second at the position, with TeSlaa combining elite size and athleticism with good enough speed.
TeSlaa took the long road to the NFL, starting his college career in Division II, but he absolutely dominated at that level. It was enough to earn him a shot at the University of Arkansas, and he delivered solid results there as well. Ultimately, TeSlaa could end up being one of the steals of the draft.
His preseason performance was good enough that the team felt comfortable shipping Tim Patrick to the Jaguars. That opens up more opportunities than expected for TeSlaa right out of the gates.
Of course, TeSlaa is still going to have plenty of competition for touches. The Lions have an abundance of playmakers on offense, including Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta.
But at least TeSlaa will have the opportunity to get on the field during three-receiver sets. Patrick had a route participation of just under 60% with the Lions last season, so it’s reasonable to expect TeSlaa to approach that figure.
With his level of athleticism, he only really needs one target to potentially get to 11 yards. I’m banking on at least a couple of catches for him in this spot.

Romeo Doubs Receiving Yards – Higher Than 37.5
While the Lions have more pass-catchers than they really need, the Packers are dealing with the opposite problem at the moment.
Christian Watson is currently sidelined with an injury – stop me if you’ve heard that before – while Jayden Reed is recovering from a Jones fracture. Reed has yet to be officially ruled out for Week 1, but it seems unlikely that he’ll be in the lineup.
That leaves the Packers’ with a pretty thin group of receivers vs. the Lions. Doubs has been a steady contributor throughout his career, and he should occupy one of the starting spots alongside talented rookie Matthew Golden.
While Doubs’ role could shrink as the team gets healthier, they’re going to need him to start the year.
Doubs averaged a career best 46.2 receiving yards per game last season, so he already has some chemistry with Jordan Love. He had at least 39 receiving yards in nine of his 13 outings, and he had five targets in one of the exceptions.
As long as Reed is out of the lineup, this number is at least a couple of yards too low. I’m willing to target the veteran in an important early-season contest.
