Hawks vs Nets Prediction Today – Wednesday, October 29
The Atlanta Hawks roll into Barclays Center at 1-3, winners of exactly one game on their current four-game road trip. The Brooklyn Nets? They’re 0-4 and have given up more points through four games than any team in franchise history. We’re talking 522 points allowed across four contests—an average of 130.5 per night. The lack of defense should make for some fun predictions.

Hawks Props and Prediction Today
Here’s what’s happening with this Hawks team. They’re messy, they can’t rebound (30th in the league), and they’ve dropped two straight. But they’re getting healthier at exactly the right time.
Jalen Johnson returned Monday against Chicago and dropped 25 points after missing time with an ankle issue. Zaccharie Risacher is working his way back.
Kristaps Porzingis shook off the flu to put up 27 in that same game. When you add Trae Young’s 21 points and 17 assists from that Chicago loss, you’re looking at an offensive unit that should absolutely torch Brooklyn’s nonexistent defense.
The Nets rank dead last—30th—in defensive rating. They’ve given up 131 to Cleveland, 118 to San Antonio, and 137 to Houston in their last three.
Coach Jordi Fernandez called the effort “unacceptable” after that Houston beatdown, but words don’t fix structural problems. This roster is thin, they’re down three rotation players to injury, and they simply don’t have the bodies to hang with Young’s pick-and-roll mastery.
Nets Props and Prediction Today
Cam Thomas is averaging 29.3 points per game, including a 40-piece against San Antonio on Saturday. Michael Porter Jr. has been solid at 23.0 PPG. And while the Nets can’t stop anybody, they can score enough to keep games interesting. They hung with Cleveland despite allowing 131, nearly came back against San Antonio despite allowing 118.
Here’s where it gets weird: the Nets are 4-2 in their last six meetings with Atlanta. They know how to play this team. And if you’re Brooklyn, you’re playing desperate basketball at 0-4. First-year coach, home crowd, backs against the wall—sometimes that’s when teams find a spark.
The rebounding battle is a push (both teams rank 30th), so second-chance points won’t separate them. If Thomas and Porter Jr. get nuclear and the Barclays crowd brings energy, maybe Brooklyn keeps this within single digits.

Hawks vs Nets Props and Picks Today
There are plenty of Hawks vs Nets props to choose from on Underdog for Wednesday. Let’s dive into the Hawks vs Nets predictions and some Trae Young props!
Trae Young Props Today – Higher Than 34.5 Points + Assists
Young and the Hawks have been a little bit inconsistent, but having his wingmen healthy should help a lot. He’s been consistently toward the top of the league in potential assisters per game, and his usage is sky-high so far. Brooklyn ranks toward the bottom of the barrel in defensive rating and assists allowed per game.
Jalen Johnson Props Today – Higher/Lower Than 18.5 Points
Johnson is a player many are hoping continues to break out in 2025. He needs to stay healthy. He is the team’s second-most consistent player, and his length should give Brooklyn some issues. He’s logged a healthy 26% usage in two of his three appearances this yaer.
