We asked our Props analyst, Justin Bales, to come up with his best NFL ladder bet for Week 6.

If you’re not familiar with this kind of play, a ladder bet is essentially betting on a prop at multiple lines with the odds getting progressively larger the further up the ladder you go.

Don’t Look Down – NFL Week 6 Main Slate Ladder Bets

We’ve done the research for you here and below we’ll dive into all of the rationale for our best NFL ladder bets for Week 6.

Caleb Williams Passing Yards Ladder

Williams has seen plenty of ups and downs early in his NFL career, but he’s also shown the flashes that have made him the first overall pick. He’s thrown for 1,091 yards with 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions through 5 starts. More importantly, he’s thrown for 300+ yards in two of his last three starts.

Williams gets an elite matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. They’re allowing the most passing yards (287.8) per game to opponents in 2024. The Jaguars are also giving up the third-most yards per attempt (8.1).

Overall, Jacksonville is giving up the seventh-most air yards (139.2) and most YAC (163.4) and airYAC (302.6) per game this season. They’ve been dominated by Tua Tagovailoa (338 yards), Josh Allen (263), CJ Stroud (344), and Joe Flacco (359).

The other key is that Williams doesn’t have to create all of the yards here. The Jaguars have consistently struggled with yards after the catch, allowing receivers and running backs to create their own yards. Chicago features players like DJ Moore and D’Andre Swift who have done well to create for themselves throughout their careers.

Williams comes with a lot of risk because of his rookie status, but he also can throw for 350+ yards, as he proved against the Indianapolis Colts.

What to Bet: Caleb Williams passing yards

Derrick Henry Rushing Yard Ladder

We went with Henry last week, and he hit the start of the ladder in overtime. It wasn’t an overly impressive game, but he still ended with 91 yards on the ground. On the season, he boasts 571 yards with 6 touchdowns through 5 games.

This is one of the best matchups Henry could get. He’ll face off against the Washington Commanders, who are allowing the seventh-most rushing yards (116.2) per game to opposing running backs. They’re also giving up a ridiculous 5.3 yards per carry in 2024.

Washington is allowing one of the highest yards before contact rates in the NFL this season. On the other side, Baltimore ranks at the top of the NFL in yards before contact per rush. As if that isn’t enough, Henry is consistently one of the best runners in the NFL at finishing through contact, averaging 3.35 yards after contact per attempt in 2024.

The Commanders have been one of the biggest surprises in the league, but this could be a game where they fall behind. We know Baltimore is comfortable giving Henry 25 carries in the right game script, and he boasts as much rushing upside as anyone in the NFL this weekend.

CeeDee Lamb Receiving Yards Ladder

There are a few elite ladder options at receiver this week, but we’re going with Lamb. He’s performed well this season, posting 25 receptions for 378 yards and 2 touchdowns on 38 targets. Surprisingly, he hasn’t topped 100 yards in any of his five games in 2024.

Lamb’s always a great ladder option because of his ridiculous weekly upside. Excluding his rookie season, he posted 149+ receiving yards at least once in each of his other three full seasons. He also posted 120+ receiving yards in five games last season, including 227 yards against the Detroit Lions.

Lamb gets another matchup against Detroit this week. They’ve struggled against the pass this season, allowing the sixth-most passing yards (258.3) per game. Detroit also ranks in the bottom-six of the NFL in air yards (141.8), YAC (134.3), and airYAC (276.0) per game this season.

We’ve seen a few star receivers find success against the Lions, including Cooper Kupp (110 yards), Chris Godwin (117), and DK Metcalf (104). Lamb’s playing a slightly different role in the offense with Brandin Cooks injured, but he should still see plenty of snaps in the slot and out wide.

Detroit doesn’t have anyone who will be able to keep up with the Dallas star, and I’m expecting this to be a bit of a shootout. We could get the boom week for Lamb in Week 6.
