Najee Harris Rushing Yards Ladder

Harris is enjoying a solid season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He owns 708 yards and 3 touchdowns on 175 carries through 10 games. He posted 100+ yards in three of his last five games as well.

Harris is a difficult player to bring to the ground, as he’s averaging 3.03 yards after the contact per carry. He’s forced 46 missed tackles thus far, including 4+ missed tackles in six consecutive games. Most importantly, he enters this game with 196 breakaway yards, which is less than 100 fewer than he posted all of last season.

Harris gets an interesting matchup against the Cleveland Browns tonight. They’re only giving up 84.7 rushing yards per game to running backs, which isn’t anything to write home about. The Browns are allowing 4.3 yards per carry, though.

This is somewhat of a weather play, though. This game is expected to see snow and rain throughout with wind gusts of 20+ mph. The wind isn’t terrible, which should allow the teams to pass, but I also expect them to run the ball a bit more in this type of weather.

The Steelers are already a run-heavy offense, and we’re in a situation where Harris could find 20+ carries. Pittsburgh is also a small favorite in this game, and they’re the type of team that generally gets conservative with the lead.

There’s too much potential volume for Harris to ignore in this type of game.
