MOUZ > FaZe 2-0 – Though they’re often the crowd favorites, it’s hard to imagine FaZe topping the talent/experience combo of this Mousesports starting five. Individually, Twistzz and frozen are usually the go-to riflers for karrigan’s team, but new addition jcobbb has come into his own at this major in Budapest, Hungary.
For MOUZ, Spinx and xertioN stick out. Spinx is a steady, conservative player who brings more consistency, while xertioN is an aggressive opener who loves to take space on the map. He carries more upside typically.
FURIA > Na’Vi 2-1 – Another banger here. Na’Vi has shown strong form at this tournament, but the level of opposition is on another level against FURIA, who are currently the number one-ranked team in CS2. The pickups of molodoy and YEKINDAR couldn’t have gone much better so far, but it’s the former who’s our preferred target. He’s quickly become one of the most dominant AWPers in the world in only his first real year at the pro level.
It’s a pretty brutal matchup for Na’Vi. If we had to target anyone on a player level, it’d be b1t, one of the top anchors around.

The playoffs of Stage 3 are here! We are down to the best eight teams in CS2 battling it out for all of the glory at the major in Budapest.
There will be two matches on Thursday and two on Friday, with the winners then meeting up in the final four over the weekend.
All series will be in a best-of-three format.

2:00 PM ET: Vitality vs. The MongolZ

Falcons > Spirit 2-1 – Doesn’t get much better than this, and we’re only in the quarter-finals. These are arguably the two most individually skilled teams in CS2 with a lot of firepower on display.
donk is the most dominant player in Counter-Strike and seemingly always piles up the kills regardless of how his team’s performing. His upside is massive every time he plays and he’d be the top look on the Spirit side, but don’t forget about sh1ro, an impactful AWPer who relishes the big stage. His projections are often available at much lower numbers than donk.
For Falcons, m0NESY has been in excellent form and will be backed up by talented riflers kyousuke and NiKo. The stacked squad has been playing better and better ahead of Thursday’s series.
Vitality > The MongolZ 2-1 – These two teams have become very familiar with one another over the past couple of years, and now only one can move forward to the semis at the major.
We have to give the edge to Vitality, as ZywOo and ropz have been consistently strong, especially when it matters most.
We’ve been impressed by MongolZ despite having to swap out Senzu for controlez recently, and it should be a hard-fought battle. mzinho would be of most interest for DFS and betting purposes on a player level.

CS2 StarLadder Preview: Monday, December 1st
We are almost to the end of Stage 2 at the major. All matches will be in a best–of–three format on Monday.
So far, two teams have booked their spots into Stage 3 from Stage 2, those being FaZe and Natus Vincere. Today we’ll have more teams be eliminated from the event and others advancing on.

Our Stage 2 analysis begins on Day 2 after the initial best-of-one matches on Day 1.
We are getting down to the best of the best in Counter-Strike, so the matchups are getting progressively more exciting and meaningful.
There is a mix of best-of-one and best-of-three series on Day 2. Let’s break the Sunday CS2 action down from a DFS and betting perspective.

Counter-Strike FAQ – CS2 DFS Pick’Em

What is Counter-Strike?
CS2 is a popular video game in which two teams play 5v5.
The first team to win 13 rounds wins that particular “map”, and there are best-of-one, best-of-three, and best-of-three series depending on the tournament.
To win a round, a team must eliminate all of the opposing players or complete a team objective.
For the CT (Counter-Terrorist) side, the team goal is to defuse the bomb if planted by the Terrorist (T) side. For the T side, the objective is to eliminate all five opposing CTs OR plant the bomb and protect it long enough for it to explode.
For DFS and betting purposes, you can either participate in DFS contests where you build a full lineup of CS2 players, or you can try to predict individual player performance.
Just like in traditional sports, there are star players who accumulate more fantasy points in general, and recent player/team form and matchups can play a huge role in deciphering the best plays on a day-to-day basis.
