CS2 StarLadder Preview: Wednesday, November 26th
More teams will go home and others will advance on to Stage 2 at the Counter-Strike major in Budapest. Let’s break the CS2 action down from a DFS and betting perspective.
Here’s the Wednesday CS2 schedule:
CS2 Schedule
Fluxo vs. NIP
B8 vs. Legacy
RED Canids vs. FaZe
NRG vs. fnatic
PARIVISION vs. GamerLegion
Imperial vs. The Huns
Note that all series will be a best–of–three format. With more rounds (sample size) across a best-of-three set, the more skillful CS2 teams and players tend to separate themselves. Best-of-one matchups are a lot more volatile.
Series Predictions
NIP > Fluxo 2-0
Legacy > B8 2-0
FaZe > RED Canids 2-1
fnatic > NRG 2-0
PARIVISION > GamerLegion 2-1
Imperial > The Huns 2-1

It was an interesting first day featuring quite a few upsets, primarily due to the best-of-one format. In general, there is a ton more DFS and betting variance with best-of-one, so be sure to keep that in mind when finalizing your CS2 picks.

A quick overview of our top player picks
dumau vs. RED Canids — Aggressive opener/rifler who brings a lot of passion, confidence and individual ability to LAN events.
Jame vs. B8 — Jame is the in-game leader of PARIVISION yet remains one of the most skilled players around. Huge amount of major experience.
Twistzz vs. NIP — We like both frozen and Twistzz, the two most skilled riflers within the squad, in what should be an entertaining battle with NiP.
REZ & PR vs. Rare Atom — These are the two heavy hitters on the GamerLegion team alongside Tauson, who’s been in great form himself. REZ is more consistent, while PR has more upside.
Lake vs. NRG — NRG is playing with a stand-in but has been looking top-notch. Still, the edge has to go to M80, a well-drilled team that’s led individually by Lake.
Good luck!
Counter-Strike FAQ – CS2 DFS Pick’Em
Read on for more information on CS2 props and DFS pick’em.
What is Counter-Strike?
CS2 is a popular video game in which two teams play 5v5.
The first team to win 13 rounds wins that particular “map”, and there are best-of-one, best-of-three, and best-of-three series depending on the tournament.
To win a round, a team must eliminate all of the opposing players or complete a team objective.
For the CT (Counter-Terrorist) side, the team goal is to defuse the bomb if planted by the Terrorist (T) side. For the T side, the objective is to eliminate all five opposing CTs OR plant the bomb and protect it long enough for it to explode.
For DFS and betting purposes, you can either participate in DFS contests where you build a full lineup of CS2 players, or you can try to predict individual player performance.
Just like in traditional sports, there are star players who accumulate more fantasy points in general, and recent player/team form and matchups can play a huge role in deciphering the best plays on a day-to-day basis.
