ESL CS2 Preview: Wednesday, October 8th
There are three matches to decide the final three spots in the final stage of ESL Pro League.
Series Predictions
Natus Vincere > The MongolZ 2-1
G2 > 3DMAX 2-1
FaZe > Aurora 2-1
The top individual performers from yesterday:
A few of our notes for the upcoming slate:
— These are elimination games and should be extremely close across the board. The first series of the day features two experienced teams and is a real toss-up. If we had to choose based on form at this event, Na’Vi would get the very slight edge. b1t and makazze are our top options for that side, and we like Senzu most for MongolZ.
— G2 has more talent and has been playing some strong Counter-Strike, and ultimately, we think that will be enough against the French team, 3DMAX. HeavyGod has become a hugely impactful player for G2 and is our favorite play in this series.
— The vibes are pretty solid for FaZe right now, even though this isn’t the starting five the team will be playing with long-term. While the teamplay and cohesiveness is probably on Aurora’s side, we wouldn’t be surprised to be see FaZe keep the winning run going.

ESL CS2 Preview: Tuesday, October 7th
Stage 2 is almost over at ESL Pro League, as more teams try to stay alive for their shot at big money in Stockholm, Sweden.
All matches will be played in a best-of-three format.
Series Predictions
FURIA > Aurora 2-1
Natus Vincere > HOTU 2-0
Mousesports > 3DMAX 2-0
The MongolZ > Gentle Mates 2-0
Vitality > G2 2-1
FaZe > Inner Circle 2-0
A few of my notes for the later games:
— MOUZ lost a tough one to Falcons yesterday, but we predict a nice bounce-back showing against 3DMAX. While the Frenchmen are no slouches, Mousesports has been more dependable and consistent.
— What a run it’s been for Gentle Mates at this tournament. We don’t think the fairy tale will continue against MongolZ, however, as the Mongolian team brings a ton of firepower and great teamplay.
— The Vitality/G2 matchup is the highlight of the day. These teams are very familiar with one another and we’re predicting a dogfight. ZywOo and ropz would be the preferred targets for Vitality, while we like HeavyGod and MATYS for G2.
— FaZe won without much trouble yesterday, setting up another winnable matchup with Inner Circle. Despite IC’s strong showing at this event, the talent and experience are firmly in FaZe’s favor here.

ESL CS2 Preview: Monday, October 6th
We’ll briefly examine the later matches on Monday. We’re in the middle of Stage 2 at ESL Pro League, with the best of the best starting to separate themselves.
All matches will be played on LAN in a best-of-three format.
Series Predictions
The MongolZ > GamerLegion 2-0
FaZe > Astralis 2-1
Falcons > Mousesports 2-1
Spirit > G2 2-1
Top individual performers from yesterday (Sunday):
A few of my notes for the later games:
— GamerLegion has been very inconsistent to start this tournament, which doesn’t bode well against one of the stronger teams in the world in MongolZ.
— FaZe/Astralis should be interesting. FaZe just benched rain but now has to use him as a stand-in after a registration mistake. This team does have a lot of firepower, namely riflers frozen and Twistzz, so we expect a fight.
— It should be quite the showdown between Falcons and Mousesports, who are both playing at a high level. This one is a toss-up in our minds and not a favorite for DFS and betting purposes, despite all of the skill that will be in the server.
— So far, so good for the new Spirit starting five. donk and company are performing like tournament favorites, but this is one of the tougher matchups they’ll face against a G2 team that just won BLAST Open London.

Counter-Strike FAQ – CS2 DFS Pick’Em
Read on for more information on CS2 props and DFS pick’em.
What is Counter-Strike?
CS2 is a popular video game in which two teams play 5v5.
The first team to win 13 rounds wins that particular “map”, and there are best-of-one, best-of-three, and best-of-three series depending on the tournament.
To win a round, a team must eliminate all of the opposing players or complete a team objective.
For the CT (Counter-Terrorist) side, the team goal is to defuse the bomb if planted by the Terrorist (T) side. For the T side, the objective is to eliminate all five opposing CTs OR plant the bomb and protect it long enough for it to explode.
For DFS and betting purposes, you can either participate in DFS contests where you build a full lineup of CS2 players, or you can try to predict individual player performance.
Just like in traditional sports, there are star players who accumulate more fantasy points in general, and recent player/team form and matchups can play a huge role in deciphering the best plays on a day-to-day basis.
