Will Dissly Higher Than 17.5 Receiving Yards
Dissly is coming off a solid season for the Los Angeles Chargers. He posted 50 receptions for 481 yards and 2 touchdowns across 15 games. He led the tight ends, and he ended the season fourth on the team in routes run (291) last season.
The veteran tight end proved to be an efficient option in the passing game in 2024. He ran 10 or fewer routes in each of his first four games before taking over as the top option. Overall, he posted 18+ receiving yards in 12 of his 15 games.
The key to his success was his efficiency. He caught 82% of his targets because of his low 4.9 aDOT. He added 6.0 yards after the catch per reception in 2024. Ultimately, he averaged a healthy 1.65 yards per route run.
Dissly gets a great matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday. They were one of the worst teams in the NFL against tight ends last season, and there’s no reason to believe that won’t be the case again this year.
The Chiefs allowed a league-high 70.1 receiving yards per game to tight ends in 2024. They also gave up 6.2 receptions on 8.0 targets per game to the position.
Dissly’s getting a low total because the Chargers brought in Tyler Conklin, but he’s expected to work as the starting tight end. It’s simply too low a total for the matchup, even with Conklin likely to find plenty of snaps.

Noah Gray Higher Than 16.5 Receiving Yards
Gray flashed as the second tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. He recorded 40 receptions for 437 yards and 5 touchdowns on 48 targets. He was a bit of a boom or bust option, posting anywhere from 0 to 66 yards in his games.
The backup tight end gets an interesting matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. They feature an elite defense, and they don’t truly struggle against any positions. He isn’t going to be the focal point of their defense, though.
Rashee Rice is suspended for this game, but Los Angeles will still key in on players like Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce. That leaves Gray to fly under the radar, similar to last season.
In 2024, the veteran posted 40 and 26 yards against Los Angeles. More importantly, he saw 9 targets in those games. Kansas City is the type of offense that tends to take what the defense is giving them, and I’d expect that to be the case again here.
Gray doesn’t have the upside as the other offensive options, but it’s too low a total for his production.
