Week 3 is kicking off, and it’s time to dive into our Bills vs Dolphins predictions for Thursday Night Football.
Let’s focus on alt props and ladder bets. The beauty of alt prop line betting is that you can target the exact scenarios you’re most confident about.
For example, if you think Keon Coleman is going to absolutely torch Miami’s secondary, why settle for his typical receiving yards line when you can bump it up to 100+ yards and get way juicier odds?
Our betting expert Justin Bales is here to break it all down for Monday’s prime time double-header.

James Cook Rushing Yards Ladder
My initial thought was to use Ray Davis here, but they’re giving us a surprisingly low total on Cook. The young running back signed a new deal this offseason, and it looks as if the Buffalo Bills are willing to use him in a workhorse role.
Buffalo is coming off a 20-point win against the New York Jets. They were running the clock out throughout the game, and it resulted in Cook posting 132 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 carries. Davis was much less effective, finding 24 yards on 9 carries.
The Bills are massive favorites against the Miami Dolphins, who have struggled early this season. Cook generally isn’t used in a workhorse role, as he’s only recorded more than 20 carries twice in his career (including last week). He posted 179 and 132 yards in those games.
We’ve seen Buffalo’s star running back find success on fewer carries, including 123 and 111 yards on 17 carries. In a game with this wide of a spread, I’m expecting Cook to see plenty of touches, and he comes with elite rushing potential.
Where to bet: James Cook 60+ rushing yards (-154) through 125+ rushing yards (+750) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook
De’Von Achane Receiving Yards Ladder
I expect the Buffalo Bills to win this game handily. I don’t expect the Miami Dolphins to lean heavily on their rushing attack, but that doesn’t mean Achane won’t touch the ball.
Miami’s star posted 3 receptions for 20 yards and 1 touchdown on 4 targets in Week 1. He dominated through the air in Week 2, though, recording 8 receptions for 92 yards and 1 touchdown on 10 targets.
Most importantly, Achane is running a ton of routes. He ranked third on the team in routes (21) in Week 1. He led the team with 36 routes in Week 2.
Achane looked elite against Buffalo last season. He totaled 15 receptions for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns on 15 targets. Receiving running backs are generally one of the most difficult matchups for opposing defenses, and Miami can take advantage of that throughout this game.
Where to bet: De’Von Achane 40+ receiving yards (-108) through 80+ receiving yards (+640) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook
