TYLER WARREN MORE THAN 56.5 RECEIVING YARDS
The Indianapolis Colts are in the midst of a remarkable season, powered by a balanced offense that has exceeded all expectations. Jonathan Taylor is firmly in the MVP conversation, dominating on the ground and keeping defenses honest, while quarterback Daniel Jones has experienced a career resurgence, showcasing improved decision-making and efficiency in the passing game.
Yet, perhaps the most pleasant surprise for Indianapolis has been the breakout of rookie tight end Tyler Warren, who has quickly emerged as one of the team’s most reliable playmakers.
Warren is averaging an impressive 61.5 receiving yards per game and has eclipsed his yardage projection in five of eight contests so far.
His combination of athleticism, route-running, and chemistry with Jones has made him a consistent safety valve and red-zone threat.
This week, the rookie draws his most favorable matchup yet against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that has struggled mightily to contain tight ends. Just last week, Green Bay’s Tucker Kraft torched them for 143 yards and two touchdowns, exposing glaring weaknesses in their coverage.
On the season, the Steelers have surrendered the most receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends, a trend that bodes extremely well for Warren’s outlook. With elite usage, a quarterback who trusts him, and the best possible matchup on paper, Tyler Warren is positioned for another standout performance.
Expect him to once again surpass his receiving yards projection and continue building on what has been a stellar rookie campaign.
His involvement and elite skill makes him one of my best Week 9 prop bets.
JOSH ALLEN MORE THAN 34.5 RUSHING YARDS
The premier matchup of the week takes place in Buffalo, where the Bills host the Kansas City Chiefs in what could be a preview of the AFC Championship Game. The Chiefs have turned their season around after a rocky 0-2 start, and have now won five of their last six contests.
Meanwhile, Buffalo appears to have righted the ship with a dominant 40-9 victory over the Panthers that snapped a brief two-game skid. With both squads once again vying for the top seed in the AFC, this matchup carries massive postseason implications, especially when it comes to securing home-field advantage come January.
It’s not a shock that arguably the best QB in football is one of my best Week 9 prop bets. Few quarterbacks rise to the occasion in big games quite like Josh Allen. Time and again, he has delivered heroic performances when the stakes are highest, and this game certainly qualifies.
Historically, Allen has had plenty of success on the ground against Kansas City, averaging 44.0 rushing yards per game in five regular-season meetings and surpassing 34.5 rushing yards in all four of their postseason clashes. His physical running style and willingness to take off when plays break down make him a constant headache for opposing defenses.
This year, the Chiefs have struggled against mobile quarterbacks, ranking third-worst in the league in rushing yards allowed to the position.
Given Allen’s proven track record against this defense and the magnitude of the matchup, the conditions are perfect for him to once again lean on his legs. Expect another vintage performance — and a strong chance for Allen to clear his 34.5 rushing yards line with ease.
