DraftKings Pick6 Today: Monday, October 13th
In this recurring article series, we’ll explain the why behind today’s picks and try to set you up for success in your DraftKings Pick6 play.
Today’s Sport Focus: NFL
BIJAN ROBINSON MORE THAN 75.5 RUSHING YARDS
There’s another Monday night doubleheader on tap to close out Week 6 in the NFL, kicking off with the Falcons hosting the Bills. Buffalo enters as 4.5-point road favorites, setting up a game script that could lean toward a balanced attack from both sides.
Falcons running back Bijan Robinson remains one of the premier all-around weapons in football, producing nearly as much through the air (270 yards) as he has on the ground (314 yards) through four games. At first glance, backing his rushing line as an underdog might seem risky, but the matchup suggests otherwise. The Bills have fielded one of the league’s toughest pass defenses and have been far more vulnerable against the run, allowing the third-most rushing yards per game this season.
Atlanta’s best chance to stay competitive will be to control the clock and limit Josh Allen’s opportunities on offense. That strategy naturally leans on Robinson’s dynamic rushing ability and versatility on early downs. Game script aside, the matchup itself is ideal for him to see consistent volume and efficiency between the tackles.
Robinson has hovered right around this yardage mark in each of his last two outings, even in less favorable game environments, including a blowout loss to Carolina. If the Falcons can keep this one within reach, which oddsmakers expect, Robinson should remain heavily involved deep into the second half.
Given the projected workload and matchup advantage, Bijan Robinson finishing with more 75.5 rushing yards looks like one of the stronger prop plays on the board for Monday night.
DEEBO SAMUEL MORE THAN 5.5 RECEPTIONS
The second game of Monday night’s doubleheader features a high-profile quarterback matchup in Washington between the top two picks from the 2024 NFL Draft, Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels.
Washington remains severely short-handed at receiver, with both Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown ruled out once again. Those losses in the passing game have made Samuel the unquestioned focal point of the offense. With Daniels back under center last week, Samuel ran a route on 87.5% of dropbacks, posted an elite 42.3% target share, and saw an eye-popping 58.8% first-read rate. That workload resulted in eight receptions for 96 yards, marking his fourth game this season with at least six catches in five outings.
The Bears’ defense has struggled to stop anyone this season, ranking near the bottom of the league in total defense and 18th against the pass. While teams have found steady success running the ball against them, Chicago’s secondary continues to allow big plays and high completion rates.
With his commanding target share, depleted competition for touches, and a favorable matchup at home, Deebo Samuel’s receptions projection stands out as one of the strongest plays on the Monday night slate.
