Cameron Boozer Props: Expert Pick
Kansas enters with a top-10 defensive rating, but they also play at the 6th-fastest pace in college basketball. This creates more possessions and more opportunities for Boozer to dominate.
Boozer’s strengths:
- Elite rebounder (10.3 RPG)
- Efficient scorer (50% FG, 41% 3PT)
- Transition scorer
- High basketball IQ (4.3 APG for a power forward)
Without Darryn Peterson, Kansas will struggle to match Duke’s offensive firepower. Boozer is the X-factor.
Duke has multiple scorers beyond Boozer. With Kansas missing their best player, Duke’s depth is a massive advantage.
Expert Pick: Cameron Boozer Higher Than 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Who Is Cameron Boozer?
This kid has basketball royalty in his DNA. Born July 18, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah—while his father Carlos Boozer was playing for the Utah Jazz—Cameron is the son of a two-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist.
But here’s what matters: Cameron is not riding his father’s coattails. He’s building his own legacy.
At Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida, Boozer averaged 22.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 blocks per game as a senior. He won four straight Florida state championships—something almost impossible in one of the most competitive basketball states in the country. He also led his team to a national title at the 2025 Chipotle Nationals.
On March 22, 2023, at the age of 15, Boozer was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year. He won it again in 2025. That’s back-to-back Gatorade Player of the Year awards—joining elite company.
He was also named McDonald’s All-American (co-MVP), Morgan Wootten Player of the Year, Florida Mr. Basketball, and Mr. Basketball USA. He’s a consensus five-star recruit ranked #2 overall by ESPN and #3 by 247Sports.
But the international resume is what separates him. At the 2023 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship in Mexico, Boozer averaged 16.8 points and 9.8 rebounds while leading Team USA to gold. He was named tournament MVP.
At the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup, he averaged 20.1 points and 9.9 rebounds—again leading USA to gold and earning tournament MVP. In the championship game against Italy, he had 24 points and 13 rebounds.
At the 2025 Nike Hoop Summit, he posted 22 points, 16 rebounds (tied a Hoop Summit record), and 6 assists in a win over the World Select team.
His father, Carlos Boozer, played at Duke from 1999 to 2001 before being drafted in the second round by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He went on to become a two-time NBA All-Star and won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in 2008 in Beijing. His 13-year NBA career included stints with Cleveland, Utah, Chicago, and the Lakers.
Cameron’s twin brother, Cayden Boozer, is a point guard also playing for Duke. He’s a consensus five-star recruit and is currently averaging 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game as a freshman. The Boozer twins are one of the most celebrated high school duos in history—winning four straight state championships and a national title together.
At 6-foot-9 and 250 pounds, Cameron is a power forward with elite size, strength, and versatility. He can score inside, shoot the three (4-9 from three in his home debut), and facilitate for teammates (5 assists vs Western Carolina).
