Yaxel Lendeborg Best Bets – Props Tuesday & Expert Picks

The 6-foot-9 graduate transfer from UAB is one of the most unique stories in college basketball—a player who only played 11 varsity games in high school, became the all-time NJCAA leading rebounder with 429 career boards, then dominated at UAB for two years before transferring to Michigan.

Last season at UAB, Lendeborg averaged 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.7 steals while becoming one of only two D1 players (along with Larry Bird) to record 600+ points, 400+ rebounds, and 150+ assists in a season.

In his Michigan debut on November 3 vs Oakland, he scored 12 points on 4-4 shooting with strong rebounding in limited minutes. Tonight, against Wake Forest at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, expect Lendeborg to have increased minutes and production.

Expert Pick: Best Yaxel Lendeborg Prop Today

Yaxel Lendeborg Props Today: Prediction, Picks, Bets, Odds - Nov. 11, 2025

Lendeborg was eased into his opening game with the Wolverines after a storied multi-year run with UAB. This guy can straight up fill up the stat sheet, and it seems like Michigan wants to ramp him up to get him acclimated with the regulars.

I think it’s possible we see 25-28 minutes out of Lendeborg, which still makes these lines tough. However, the Wolverines have a sky-high implied team total. This is a veteran who averaged 32 PRA last season, albeit seeing more minutes than he likely will tonight.

I think he gets there, but I don’t think it’s a walk in the park.

Expert Pick: Higher Than 33.05 Fantasy Points

Who Is Yaxel Lendeborg?

In high school at Pennsauken High School, he made the varsity team as a freshman. But mid-season, he was cut from the team. The reason? Poor academic performance. He didn’t play basketball his sophomore year. He didn’t play his junior year either. Same reason—poor grades.

During his senior year, he entered a dual-enrollment program with Camden County College. His grades improved. With 11 games left in the season, he was allowed to join the Pennsauken varsity basketball team. In those 11 games, Pennsauken went 10-1. That’s it. That was his entire high school basketball career. Eleven games.

But here’s where the story gets wild. His mother, Yissel Raposo—his biggest inspiration—told him he was going to Arizona Western College, a junior college in Yuma, Arizona. He didn’t have a choice. She knew it was the best option for him.

At Arizona Western, Lendeborg transformed. In his COVID-shortened freshman year (2020-21), he played 14 games and averaged 6.1 points and 7.1 rebounds. Not bad, but not special.

In his first full season (2021-22), he averaged 12.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. He led his conference in rebounding and was named a Third Team NJCAA All-American.

By his sophomore year (2022-23), he was unstoppable. He averaged 17.2 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 72.7% from the field. He was named Second Team NJCAA All-American and was the ACCAC Player of the Year. He led his conference in rebounding again and was ranked the #9 junior college prospect in the country.

Over three years at Arizona Western, he scored 1,026 points (13.2 PPG) and became the all-time NJCAA leading rebounder with 429 career boards. Think about that. The all-time leading rebounder in junior college history. That’s not a mistake. That’s dominance.

On April 29, 2023, he transferred to UAB to play for Coach Andy Kennedy. Kennedy told him he could be one of the best fours the program ever had. Nobody had ever said that to him before.

In his first season at UAB (2023-24), he averaged a double-double (13.8 PPG, 10.6 RPG) and won AAC Defensive Player of the Year. He led UAB to the AAC Tournament title and was named tournament MVP. He grabbed 21 rebounds against #20 Florida Atlantic—the second-most in UAB history. He led UAB to the NCAA Tournament.

In his second season at UAB (2024-25), he went supernova. He averaged 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.7 steals. He set the UAB and AAC single-season record with 420 total rebounds. He recorded 26 double-doubles—the most in UAB and AAC history. His 45 career double-doubles are a UAB and AAC record.

He’s a fantastic talent who is still growing before our eyes.
