Bulls vs Hawks Prediction Today – Monday, October 27
Monday night brings us an absolutely fascinating matchup—the Atlanta Hawks (1-2) visit the Chicago Bulls (2-0) at the United Center. Tip-off is 8:00 PM ET, and here’s where it gets wild: the line sits at Hawks -1.5 with a total of 242.5.
Wait, what? The Hawks are road favorites despite being 1-2 and potentially missing THREE starters? That’s the betting market telling you they expect Atlanta’s injured players to suit up.
Meanwhile, Chicago’s riding high after their best opening week since 2017-18, sitting pretty at 2-0 with a perfect 2-0 record against the spread.
Josh Giddey is questionable with a fourth MCP sprain (that’s the knuckle joint) in his right finger. Through two games, he’s been absolutely elite—20.0 PPG, 9.5 APG, 9.5 RPG on 48.4% shooting.
He missed the final 4:27 of Saturday’s win over Orlando, and it’s unclear if the injury forced his benching or if it was just hot-hand lineup management with Tre Jones and Ayo Dosunmu cooking.
Meanwhile, Atlanta’s dealing with an injury apocalypse—Kristaps Porzingis (flu), Jalen Johnson (ankle), and Zaccharie Risacher (ankle) are all questionable.
They played Saturday’s loss to OKC without all three, and it showed—Trae Young couldn’t carry alone against SGA and Chet Holmgren’s onslaught.

Bulls Props and Prediction Today
The Bulls stormed out to a perfect 2-0 start after being given preseason win totals of just 31.5-32.5 games. That’s disrespectful, and they’re proving doubters wrong early.
They beat Detroit 115-111 (after blowing a 23-point lead, naturally) and dominated Orlando 110-98 on the road Saturday night.
Nikola Vucevic has been an absolute monster in the paint—21.5 PPG and 14.5 RPG through two games.
His 28-point, 14-rebound performance against Detroit set the tone, and he followed with 15 points against Orlando while anchoring the defense. Without Porzingis protecting the rim for Atlanta, Vucevic should feast on post-ups and pick-and-pops.
Matas Buzelis is the real revelation here—18 PPG average including a clutch alley-oop dunk that sealed the Detroit game. The rookie’s playing with zero fear, and paired with Vucevic’s veteran savvy, Chicago’s frontcourt is legit.
Giddey’s status is the critical question. If he plays, the Bulls have a legitimate floor general who can facilitate (9.5 APG), rebound (9.5 RPG), and score (20 PPG).
His length and playmaking make Chicago’s offense flow beautifully. If he sits, Tre Jones and Ayo Dosunmu step up—and honestly, they’ve been playing exceptionally well.
Hawks Props and Prediction Today
The Hawks are 1-2 and have lost both home games by a combined 37 points.
They got demolished by Toronto 138-118 in the opener (Raptors shot 57% FG and set a franchise record for opening night points), squeaked past Orlando 111-107 in a gutsy road comeback, then got boat-raced by OKC 117-100 on Saturday.
Trae Young has been clutch when healthy—25 points and 6 assists against Orlando, including 6 points in the final 46 seconds to seal the win. He hit 4 crucial free throws in the final 21 seconds after Jalen Suggs tied it 107-107. That’s ice-cold closer mentality.
But here’s the problem: Young can’t do it alone. Against OKC’s elite defense Saturday, he was limited while SGA (30 points) and Chet Holmgren (31 points, 12 rebounds, 6 threes) absolutely dominated. Nickeil Alexander-Walker led Atlanta with just 17 points—that tells you everything about how depleted they were.
Bulls vs Hawks Injury Report
Bulls’ Injury Situation: OUT: Zach Collins (wrist surgery), Coby White (right calf strain—minimum 6 games). QUESTIONABLE: Josh Giddey (fourth MCP sprain, right finger).
White’s absence hurts perimeter shooting, but Chicago’s depth has absorbed it. Giddey’s status is game-time—monitor this closely. If he plays, Bulls’ offense flows. If not, Jones and Dosunmu are more than capable.
Hawks’ Injury Situation: QUESTIONABLE: Kristaps Porzingis (flu-like symptoms—missed last 2), Jalen Johnson (right ankle sprain—injured Friday), Zaccharie Risacher (right ankle sprain—missed last 2). OUT: Nikola Đurišić, Eli John Ndiaye.
This is the critical variable. If all three questionable players sit, the Hawks are cooked. Their rotation becomes Young + spare parts against a deep, energized Bulls squad at home.
Bulls vs Hawks Prediction: Props and Picks Today
There are plenty of Bulls vs Hawks props to choose from on Underdog for Monday. Let’s dive into the Bulls vs Hawks predictions!
Trae Young Props Today
- Trae Young Player Props: Higher Than 23.5 Points
This is a pretty generous line. I’m guessing at least one of his star teammates will sit, which should give Young a natural usage bump.
These two teams played at two of the highest paces in the NBA last season, and oddsmakers seem to believe we’ll see another track meet due to the massive 242.5 game total. I like this prop bet regardless of who’s in or out for Atlanta.
Bulls vs Hawks Last Game
Their most recent meeting came on January 15, 2025: Hawks 110, Bulls 94 at United Center. Atlanta won comfortably at Chicago, which makes tonight’s line even more interesting.
