FastDraft Fantasy Review For September 2025

The FastDraft Fantasy app for iPhones and iOS tablets is an all-new, peer-to-peer fantasy sports platform for NFL football fans around the country.

By incorporating a “best ball” automatic lineup-filling mechanism to populate each week’s starters, FastDraft has several positives to offer.

The app’s lightning-quick drafts allow each player a maximum of 20 seconds to choose, ensuring that you can complete your draft in 10 minutes or less.

The quick “FastDraft” mechanism means you can get your lineups chosen while waiting on a meal to be served, waiting in line, or while on the go with your iOS smart mobile device.

Simplify your online fantasy sports experience by participating in weekly, regular-season, or playoff tournaments that have guaranteed prize pools and a multi-entry format.

Currently available in 30 US jurisdictions, here’s what you need to know about FastDraft Fantasy and its “Best Ball” feature.

Fastdraft Fantasy quick review

FastDraft is an NFL-exclusive fantasy sports app, with a hefty focus on the Running Back, Wide Receiver, and Tight End positions.

Other NFL player positions that are allowed, depending on the tournament format, include Quarterbacks and Defensive players.

Basically, there are six different types of fantasy sports games on the FastDraft Fantasy app:

  1. Origins.
  2. Flex 4.
  3. Flex 6 Frenzy.
  4. Quick 6 Super Slam.
  5. Playoff Super Slam.
  6. D-Up.

Each game type comes with its own set of rules, and each game type covers a specific week, regular season, or playoff postseason for NFL games.

I’ll flesh out how each game works in short order, but for the moment, know that FastDraft Fantasy is an app-only platform that, for now, is only available at the App Store for iOS smart devices.

Currently, there is no browser version available for PC or MAC users – UNLESS you are willing to download the browser version from a third party. There isn’t an app version available for Android smart devices, either.

You must be 18+ and located in one of the 33 eligible states (which include Washington, D.C.) to play the fantasy contests at FastDraft Fantasy. If you sign up for a new account through us, you’ll receive a 100% First Deposit Match bonus up to $50.

You will need to play through the bonus funds at least once before the credits can be redeemed via a cash withdrawal.

Types of games and how they function

The following are the types of games you’ll find on the FastDraft app, along with pertinent details on how each game functions within the platform.

Origins

This is a rookie-only league that runs the entirety of the NFL regular season – from Week 1 all the way to the end of Week 17. This is a total points league, which requires a $5.00+$0.75 entry fee for each entry you make.

Entry fees may fluctuate depending on individual tournaments within each category.

The number of entries per person is limited to a maximum of 150, and a guaranteed $25,000 prize pool accompanies the tournament. If you happen to win the entire tournament at the conclusion of 17 weeks, you’ll receive a hefty payout of $4,000.

In all, the ORIGINS tournament pays out 890 places based on 5,890 total entries allowed per tournament.

The main catch here is that ONLY ROOKIES are eligible for selection on draft day. Eligible positions include quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends.

There are no limitations on positions, and the draft will begin once 10 players have entered into a mini league within the tournament.

ORIGINS consists of six drafting rounds among 10 maximum league players, with each turn taking a maximum of 20 seconds.

In theory, the maximum amount of time it should take to complete an individual draft in this mode is 200 seconds per round (or 3 minutes and 20 seconds) and 1200 seconds for all six rounds (or 20 minutes).

That maximum is assuming that each player takes the maximum 20 seconds per selection (which never happens due to players entering their custom rankings list via Turbo Mode.

Flex 4

The FLEX 4 game is another 6-round draft tournament with 150 max entries per individual that covers all NFL players who play the position of running back, wide receiver, or tight end.

This tournament also lasts the duration of the NFL regular season (Weeks 1-17) and comes with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and a maximum total entry cap of 11,770.

For first place, the FLEX 4 tournament will pay out a $10,000 top prize (at the $10 level) to the eventual winning entry. In all, 1,770 players will receive at least some modest payout if the entry fee is $10+$1.50 (FastDraft charges a 15% commission per entry).

Each draft entry is limited to six rounds of selection, and four of the selections will be included in each week’s lineup.

Flex 6 frenzy

The FLEX 6 FRENZY game includes all NFL players who play the position of running back, wide receiver, or tight end.

The entry fee for this tournament is $5.00 + $0.75. The main difference between FLEX 6 FRENZY and other FLEX leagues is that lineups and results reset at the end of each week.

Each FLEX 6 FRENZY weekly tournament comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000, with the weekly first-place winner receiving a $300 top prize.

Just like the other games, draft leagues are locked at 10 players and come with a 20-second maximum limit per draft selection.

The maximum number of entries per individual is capped at 6 for each weekly game, and there are no waivers or substitutions allowed.

Once the six players per lineup have been drafted, those six players will remain. After Week 1, lineups are automatically filled using the “Best Ball” method, meaning that the top 4 performing fantasy players will automatically enter the upcoming week’s lineup.

Quick 6 super slam

In QUICK 6 SUPER SLAM, contestants compete each week for the best-performing fantasy team that can consist of running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends

The caveat here is that contestants must incorporate players from at least 2 NFL teams to compete each week, and only Sunday games are counted.

The maximum cap on entries per QUICK 6 SUPER SLAM weekly tournament is 3% of the total entry pool or 150 – whichever number is lower.

Due to the guaranteed contest nature of the QUICK 6 SUPER SLAM, the payouts are similar to the FLEX 6 FRENZY format – offering a top prize of $300 each week if the total pool of entries is at least 1,000.

Lineups will reset at the conclusion of each NFL regular season week, and next week’s lineups will be filled automatically using the “Best Ball” feature.

Playoff super slam

This game type is only available leading into the NFL postseason. It does not cover regular-season games and cannot be opened until the NFL regular season has concluded.

Each PLAYOFF SUPER SLAM contest will begin before Wildcard Weekend and end once the Super Bowl has been played.

Just like the other game types, entries will select 6 fantasy players (all of whom will be participating in the postseason) from a pool of running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends.

The tournament runs the duration of the NFL postseason, which means that prizes are awarded based on total points for the entire postseason (and not just one week of it).

Re-entries per individual are limited to 150 or 3% of a tournament’s total entry pool (whichever number is lower), and the final payout for 1st Place can reach $500 for this $10 + $1,50 fantasy event.

D-up

The D-UP game focuses exclusively on NFL players who play on defense. Each D-UP tournament features a guaranteed $10,000 prize pool and spans the entire NFL regular season.

Any fantasy player who is listed as a Defensive Lineman (DL), Defensive Back (DB), or Linebacker (LB) can be chosen during each of the six drafting rounds.

At the end of the season, the top prize for each D-UP tournament can go as high as $2,000 for this $10 + $1.50 event.

Multiple entries are generally limited to 30 in any given D-UP tournament (based on the 3% number derived from the 1,000 total entry number).

Just like other FastDraft Fantasy contests, weekly lineups will automatically fill using the “Best Ball” method, assigning the top 4 eligible fantasy performers as the starters for the upcoming week.

Available bonuses and promotions

There is one specific welcome bonus that new players can receive when they sign up and make a first deposit on the FastDraft Fantasy app.

If you use our links, your very first deposit will be matched 100% – up to a maximum of $50.

This welcome incentive allows you to earn $50 in extra contest entries within 7 days to clear.

The FastDraft Fantasy app for iOS smart devices is available in the following states: Alaska, California, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island, District of Columbia.

The FastDraft Fantasy app for iOS devices is NOT available in these states: Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maine, Delaware, Connecticut, Hawai.i

This list applies exclusively to the real-money fantasy contests. The non-premium service of FastDraft’s data and analytics tools is available in all states and does not require an app download to access.

Payment methods and transaction security

All payments and transactions that take place on the FastDraft app are safe and secure.

You can use one of the following three methods to deposit funds into your FastDraft account.

  • MAJOR CREDIT & DEBIT CARDS: You will need to provide your card number, expiration date, and CVV code to deposit funds into your FastDraft account using this method.
  • PAYPAL: Your PayPal account MUST be verified ahead of time for deposits to be made available.
  • SKRILL: Just like PayPal, you will need a verified Skrill account to transact.

To make a cash withdrawal, you can use PayPal or Intercheck.

For PayPal, you’ll be required to have a verified account before any transaction can be processed.

Interchecks can be a more convenient route for making a withdrawal, as long as you already have an account set up beforehand.

There are no “chargebacks” to credit or debit cards allowed for withdrawals.

FastDraft Fantasy scoring breakdown

In this section, we’ll take an in-depth look at how FastDraft Fantasy contests are scored.

The breakdown includes per-player points allocations for each action.

How are FastDraft fantasy contests scored?

The FastDraft app incorporates, for the most part, a typical PPR (Points Per Reception) format that you would expect from other fantasy games.

Every contest you play on FastDraft, with the exception of D-UP, will make offensive players accessible only.

Also, the only game in which quarterbacks are eligible is the ORIGINS rookies format.

With that said, here is how all actions are scored on the FastDraft Fantasy app.

  • 0.1 points per 2.5 yards passing (1 point per 25 passing yards).
  • 0.1 points per 1 yard rushing (1 point per 10 rushing yards).
  • 0.1 points per 1 yard receiving (1 point per 10 receiving yards).
  • 4 points per passing touchdown.
  • 6 points per rushing touchdown.
  • 6 points per receiving touchdown.
  • 1 point per reception.
  • 2 points per 2-point conversion passing.
  • 2 points per 2-point conversion rushing.
  • 2 points per 2-point conversion receiving.
  • Minus 1 point for an interception.
  • Minus 2 points for a fumble lost.

If you’re playing in one of the D-UP tournaments, your starting defensive players will receive the following points per action.

  • 0.5 points for each Assisted Tackle.
  • 1.5 points for a Solo Tackle.
  • 1 point for each QB hit.
  • 2 points for a Tackle for Loss (TFL).
  • 3 points for a Forced Fumble.
  • 3 points for a Fumble Recovery.
  • 4 points for a Pass Defended.
  • 6 points for an Interception.
  • 6 points for a Sack.
  • 6 points for a Safety.
  • 6 points for a Block Kick (FG, PAT, Punt).
  • 6 points for a Touchdown (Offense, Defense, Special Teams).
  • Fumble Recovery Yards: 0.10 points per yard.
  • Interception Yards: 0.10 points per yard.
  • Sack Yards: 0.10 points per yard.

What are captain boosters and how do they work?

Captain Boosters are a unique feature that FastDraft allows customers to use to aim for higher scores in each contest.

By using the “Best Ball” format, your top 4 performers from the preceding week will automatically be assigned Captain Boosters. However, you can manually change this before the lineups are locked in each week.

  • Your top Captain Booster player receives = 2 times the total fantasy points scored.
  • Your second Captain Booster player receives = 1.75 times the total fantasy points score.d.
  • Your third Captain Booster player receives = 1.50 times the total fantasy points score.d.
  • Your fourth Captain Booster player receives = 1.25 times the total fantasy points score.d.

This adds a lot of customization to your potential lineup. Still, you don’t necessarily have to spend the time each week to manually allocate each Captain Booster (unless you want to).

My portfolio: real-time share percentages and insights

The My Portfolio feature tracks fantasy player shares in real time.

This capability is built into the FastDraft Fantasy app and allows you to instantly share your fantasy sports “receipts” via social media or email.

Unique features of FastDraft

FastDraft has several unique features that distinguish it from its competitors.

Guaranteed prize pool tournaments

These events can range from $10,000 all the way up to $50,000, depending on the game type you select.

Best Ball auto-fill

If you don’t have a lot of time to select your choices for the upcoming week manually, the FastDraft app will automatically fill next week’s lineup with the top performers from the previous week.

This feature is particularly helpful for players on the go who want the best lineup available without having to access the app every week to make changes.

Quick and Streamlined Drafts

Draft cycles are limited to 10 teams per individual draft, with each choice governed by a 20-second selection timer.

Players can even choose their preferred rankings ahead of time to speed up the online draft process even more, making it entirely possible to complete an entire draft in less than 10 minutes.

My Portfolio

You can track fantasy player share percentages with ease on the FastDraft app. This dynamic feature encompasses all entries in a specific league.

The data analytics tied to My Portfolio are also available to FastDraft account holders in all 50 states.

You can also participate in Mock Drafts via “Dynasty Mode” if you’re not physically located in a state where FastDraft is live. This mode allows you to compete against up to 30 AI opponents in a free-to-play setting.

However, you won’t be able to actually compete in FastDraft games unless you are located in one of the (currently 32) states in which the FastDraft app operates.

Snake Draft Mechanics

FastDraft uses a 6-round Snake Draft mechanic that includes a third round reversal.

Therefore, the player who chooses first in the 1st Round will choose last in the 2nd Round.

Due to the reversal, that player will then choose last in the 3rd Round, first in the 4th Round, last in the 5th Round, and then first in the 6th Round.

FastDraft bonuses and promotions

You can get a 100% first deposit match bonus – up to $50 – when you sign up for a new account by tapping on our links.

This bonus amount can be cleared and converted into redeemable cash by wagering through it at least one time. The contest(s) must all be completed for the 1x playthrough bonus amount to clear.

If you’re interested in opening a refer-a-friend account to invite other people you know onto the app, you can do so by contacting FastDraft directly and requesting a unique sign up code.

The minimum withdrawal amount from your FastDraft Fantasy cashier menu will be $10.

To withdraw, you must have already played through (with all events/tournaments completed) any bonus funds the necessary number of times to convert those credits into redeemable cash.

The two available withdrawal methods are a verified PayPal account or Interchecks.

Registration and onboarding

You’ll need to be on an iOS smart device to download the FastDraft Fantasy app from the iTunes App Store.

Once you’ve accessed the platform through our links, you will be prompted to download and install the app, which will then give you access to the platform’s games and features.

You’ll also need to provide your full name, date of birth, physical address, email, and telephone number when opening your new account.

Payment methods for new accounts include credit/debit cards, PayPal, and Skrill.

Please note that you’ll need to pass the age verification and geo-location requirements to play the games and tournaments offered by FastDraft.

If you are underage or in a state where FastDraft is currently blocked, you won’t be able to participate in any real-money fantasy tournaments or games on the app.

Entry fees, prize pools, and promotions

FastDraft will collect a 15% administrative fee for all tournament buy-ins. This fee extends to every single entry that is made into a tournament, even if it is a multi-entry made by the same account holder.

If you’re interested in getting a little more value out of your initial entries, you can sign up through us and get a 100% first deposit match bonus up to $50 to get you started on the right foot.

Prize pools are guaranteed in the events that FastDraft hosts, meaning you can enter one or more tournaments knowing beforehand what the payouts will be.

For ORIGINS (rookies only) events, the guaranteed prize pool is $25,000, which contemplates 5,890 entries per tournament and comes with a popular $5.00 + $0.75 entry fee level.

FLEX 4 comes with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool at the most common $5.00 + $0.75 level, and can have up to 11,770 entries.

Prize pool guarantees will depend on the buy-in level of each game and league.

Bonuses and Promotions Rating: 8.5 out of 10 Stars

You can get a lot of play out of your first deposit + match bonus, especially if your first deposit is for at least $50. Tap on our links to go to the FastDraft registration and app download page to become eligible.

Mobile app performance and design

The FastDraft Fantasy mobile app has an extremely high rating in the iTunes App Store – garnering 4.9 out of 5 Stars from all combined customer reviews.

It’s little wonder why the app has such high marks. Aside from offering unique game types and lightning-quick draft cycles, the app is very well designed with plenty of features.

It’s a genuine shame that the app is currently unavailable for Android devices, as the platform has a lot to offer new players looking to draft quickly and enter large fantasy contests.

Mobile App Performance and Design Rating: 9 out of 10 Stars

This score would be a perfect five-out-of-five if FastDraft had a dedicated app for Android device users available in the Google Play Store.

Data & analytics tools

You can access FastDraft’s proprietary data and analytics tools via the My Portfolio feature.

If you want an extra leg up when drafting, you can sort eligible fantasy players by pretty much any statistic, which is a huge time saver for pre-selecting your own rankings in anticipation of a draft.

But where FastDraft Fantasy’s data and analytics capabilities truly shine is with the My Portfolio menu option that allows you to see fantasy player shares in real time.

You can also use this feature to track player ownership at all times.

Cashier and payment options

Instead of online banking, FastDraft Fantasy allows online deposits from verified Skrill and PayPal accounts, along with any major credit/debit card.

Payment or Deposit MethodUsed for Deposits?Used for Withdrawals?
Major credit or debit card (Visa or MasterCard)YESNO
Skrill online walletYESNO
Verified PayPal accountYESYES
Interchecks (account or card must be set up ahead of time)NOYES

Withdrawing funds from your FastDraft Fantasy account will require the following:

  • A KYC check before the very first withdrawal can be processed.
  • A verified PayPal account, OR an established card/account for receiving Interchecks.
  • Minimum withdrawal amount of $10 in redeemable funds.

If you have less than $10 remaining in your FastDraft Fantasy account, you won’t be able to request a withdrawal until your balance is at least $10.

Withdrawals will also need to be processed at least 72 hours following your most recent deposit.

Cashier and payment Methods Rating: 8.5 out of 10 Stars

Although FastDraft doesn’t offer online banking through Trustly, the Interchecks service can be just as convenient for withdrawals.

Safety, security, and compliance

The overall customer review score of 4.9 out of 5 that FastDraft has obtained within the iTunes App Store gives this relatively new platform a head start in terms of reputation.

Transactions made to and from your FastDraft Fantasy account are made via a secure portal, with all personal data encrypted to ensure customer privacy.

In terms of compliance, FastDraft adheres to geolocation rules to ensure that customers are only playing from within statewide jurisdictions that don’t specifically ban these types of fantasy contests.

Please note that before you can make your first cash withdrawal from the app, you will need to complete a separate Know Your Customer check, in addition to registering your new account.

Safety, Security and Compliance Rating: 10 out of 10 Stars

As long as you’re not attempting to bypass KYC or geolocation verification processes by lying about your age or location, your account status will remain in good standing.

How does FastDraft compare to other best ball platforms?

Here’s where FastDraft outperforms its competition:

  • Ultra-rapid draft experiences (sometimes less than 10 minutes per draft).
  • Automatic allotment of starting lineup plus multipliers for on-the-go customers.
  • Rookies-only game format when playing ORIGINS.
  • Guaranteed prize pools.
  • Very sleek mobile app for iOS smart devices.

Conversely, here’s where FastDraft is outperformed by the majority of its competition:

  • NFL football only (no MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA, WNBA, or MLS markets).
  • No dedicated app for Android devices (no app available on Google Play Storefront).
  • Windows PC users must download the browser version from third party to play.

Strategy tips & best practices

Based on my own experience, I recommend using the following FastDraft Fantasy features and following the guidelines outlined below to achieve the best overall experience.

  • Plan ahead by ranking your fantasy players — If you’ve already submitted your personal rankings for fantasy players, the draft will go that much quicker!.
  • Use real time analytics to view player shares — Keeping tabs on how players are performing in real time will give you an edge on the competition.
  • Don’t be afraid to assign starters and/or multipliers manually — The “Best Ball” format is wonderful in that it automatically assigns the upcoming week’s starting lineup, complete with Captain Booster multipliers. However, you will want to manually change your lineup order when you believe it is to your advantage to do so.
  • Play “Dynasty Mode” — This is free if you’re in a state where the FastDraft games aren’t available. You can compete against up to 30 AI opponents in a free-to-play Mock Draft format.
  • Play ORIGINS tournaments if you want to focus exclusively on rookies — The ORIGINS tournaments allow only rookie fantasy players. In this mode, you can choose from Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers, and Tight Ends.

Who should choose FastDraft fantasy?

The FastDraft Fantasy app is ideal for these circumstances:

  • Customers who have an iOS smart mobile device and appreciate well-designed apps.
  • Players who enjoy super-quick drafts.
  • Players who appreciate automatic lineup assignment features like “Best Ball”.
  • Players who want to focus on rookies-only contests.
  • Analytic-minded players who want to access player shares in real time.
  • If you enjoy Mock Drafts in a free-to-play environment against AI opponents.

If you fit into any of the following categories, then FastDraft probably isn’t the best fit for you:

  • No app for Android devices.
  • Not for Windows PC or MAC players (you’ll have to risk third-party download).
  • Not for players who want more markets aside from NFL football.
  • Not for players who enjoy head-to-head matchups (FastDraft doesn’t have any).

Final thoughts on FastDraft Fantasy

This app offers multiple features that make it a very attractive option for iOS smart device users; however, it lacks an app for Android devices, which would help achieve more player liquidity.

Yes, the “Best Ball” format combined with Captain Booster multipliers makes for an enjoyable experience, but, unfortunately, NFL football is the “only game in town” for the moment.

Be sure to check out FastDraft’s Dynasty Mode, which offers free-to-play Mock Drafts available in all 50 states.

FINAL VERDICT RATING: 9 out of 10 Stars

Overall, the very speedy draft selection process, combined with guaranteed prize pool tournaments, makes FastDraft Fantasy a solid choice for iOS smartphone users.

Frequently asked questions

Here’s a list of FAQs that I’ve come up with based on my own experience with FastDraft Fantasy.

Are there any FastDraft contests that include preseason NFL games?

No. Only the NFL regular season and postseason (including the Super Bowl) are included in FastDraft Fantasy contests.

Am I forced to play the next week’s starters based on the automatic best ball lineup placements?

No. You can manually choose which players will be active in the upcoming week’s lineup, as long as your modifications are made within the allotted time frame (before the kickoff of the first game for the forthcoming week).

Am I forced to use the automatic captain booster allocations for the upcoming week?

No. the Captain Boosters are also automatically filled in accordance with Best Ball calculations, but you can likewise adjust this manually before the upcoming week’s games begin.

Why do some tournaments limit multiple entries to a maximum of 30, while other events allow more entries per person?

All FastDraft Fantasy tournaments limit multiple entries per account to 3% or 150 – whichever number is lower.

If the tournament you’re playing in has a 1,000 total entry pool, re-entries into the same event will correspondingly be capped at 30 (which equals 3% of that specific entry pool).

I thought FastDraft had a dedicated app for Android devices. what happened?

Currently, the FastDraft app is only available in the iTunes App Store for iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads.

Although there was a dedicated app for Android devices in the past, the app is no longer available on the Google Play Store.

Will FastDraft fantasy be coming to my state soon?

The FastDraft Fantasy app may be available for players 18+ in more states soon.

Some of the states to keep an eye on (in which the app is currently unavailable) are Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and New York.

Can I use multiple accounts when playing on the FastDraft fantasy app?

No. All players are limited to one sole account. Attempting to bypass multi-entry limits by opening a new account for the same person is prohibited and will result in your account being blocked.

Can I play FastDraft fantasy games from a windows PC OR mac?

I wouldn’t recommend trying this. You’ll have to go to a third-party site and trust that THEIR version of the browser service is safe and secure. At this time, FastDraft is only optimal for iPhones and iPads that use the iOS operating system.

What constitutes “rookie” status for FastDraft origins tournaments?

FastDraft defines a “Rookie” as a fantasy player who was drafted the same year in which the corresponding NFL regular season begins. “Rookies” do NOT include second-year players who did not play during their first season.

Is it possible for games to have multiple buy-in levels?

Yes. Some tournaments may have a buy-in as low as $1.00 + $0.15, while others may have a buy-in in the range of $100 + $15.

The game types are set in stone, but the buy-in levels can fluctuate per league, and the eventual payouts will automatically adjust to the corresponding buy-in amount for that specific league.
