TREVEYON HENDERSON MORE THAN 84.5 RUSHING + RECEIVING YARDS
Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson has effectively taken over New England’s backfield since Rhamondre Stevenson went down four weeks ago. While Stevenson was sidelined, Henderson played 82% of snaps and operated as the primary ball carrier.
Even with Stevenson returning last week, Henderson still led the backfield with a 65% snap share and 58% of rushing attempts, while continuing to dominate the high-value passing-down work.
He topped this line in all three games Stevenson missed and came up just four yards short last week despite the veteran’s return. With Henderson maintaining a strong role and showing big-play ability both as a runner and receiver, combining rushing and receiving yards adds meaningful upside.
The matchup pushes this one over the top. The Giants have allowed the second-most rushing yards to opposing running backs this season and consistently struggle with explosive plays on the ground and underneath in the passing game.
Stevenson may see a small bump in early-down carries as he gets healthier, but Henderson remains the preferred option in space and on passing downs, which makes his workload both efficient and sticky.
Given the elite matchup and the encouraging usage trend with Stevenson back in the mix, Henderson is well-positioned to clear his 84.5 scrimmage-yard projection once again.
TYRONE TRACY JR. MORE THAN 17.5 RECEIVING YARDS
Giants running back Tyrone Tracy has stepped into a much larger role since Cam Skattebo went down four weeks ago. The second-year playmaker has out-snapped veteran Devin Singletary in each of the past three games and has handled nearly all of the passing-down work.
That usage has translated into strong production, as Tracy has cleared this 17.5-yard receiving line with ease in back-to-back weeks. His longest reception alone in each game is enough to get him there. And the volume has been dependable as well, with at least three receptions and four targets in both contests.
So why is this line sitting so low? Oddsmakers are pricing in the return of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who tends to scramble rather than check down to his backs. While that’s a fair consideration, it feels like an over-adjustment.
The matchup further supports the over. New England boasts the league’s best run defense against opposing running backs, allowing the fewest yards in the league. But they are much more vulnerable in the passing game, ranking just 22nd in receiving yards allowed to the position.
The Giants may struggle to generate efficient production on traditional running plays, which should push them toward screens, flares, and quick swings to get Tracy into space, where he’s been most dangerous.
With explosive ability, a secure pass-game role, and a matchup that tilts targets his way, Tracy is a good bet to surpass this modest 17.5-yard projection once again.
