We’re back and ready to take a closer look at Friday’s early-morning CS2 action. We have reached the quarter-finals of PGL Masters Bucharest, with eight teams set to battle it out for a lot of money and glory.

My player and team notes for the upcoming slate:
— GamerLegion and HEROIC should be a fun one. GL is coming off a dominant 2-0 win over Gentle Mates, with PR standing out individually, and is favored over HEROIC here. xfl0ud has been in incredible form for HEROIC at this event so far — will he keep it up?
— We don’t love the B8/Aurora matchup from a DFS and betting perspective. We think that one could go either way, as while Aurora is much higher ranked, the Turks have not been convincing at this tournament. We like XANTERES on a player level for this one — he’s an aggressive rifler who brings a lot of upside to the table.
— It’s a mostly Brazilian battle between Legacy and paiN, and it’s another series that should be competitive. latto has consistently performed at a high level for Legacy heading into Friday.
— While SAW has proven to surprise here and there, we believe the talent is firmly in Liquid’s favor. This starting five is looking better since EliGE re-joined from FaZe, and he’s the player we’d feel best about targeting.

Counter-Strike FAQ – CS2 DFS Pick’Em

What is Counter-Strike?
CS2 is a popular video game in which two teams play 5v5.
The first team to win 13 rounds wins that particular “map”, and there are best-of-one, best-of-three, and best-of-three series depending on the tournament.
To win a round, a team must eliminate all of the opposing players or complete a team objective.
For the CT (Counter-Terrorist) side, the team goal is to defuse the bomb if planted by the Terrorist (T) side. For the T side, the objective is to eliminate all five opposing CTs OR plant the bomb and protect it long enough for it to explode.
For DFS and betting purposes, you can either participate in DFS contests where you build a full lineup of CS2 players, or you can try to predict individual player performance.
Just like in traditional sports, there are star players who accumulate more fantasy points in general, and recent player/team form and matchups can play a huge role in deciphering the best plays on a day-to-day basis.
