Where should we be looking with our CS2 picks?
dgt vs. 3DMAX – paiN just went on a glorious run at the Austin Major and has been playing strong CS. The Brazilian-majority squad wasn’t able to get a win over Lynn Vision yesterday though and now faces another stingy test in 3DMAX. We like what we’ve seen out of dgt, the new fifth of the team who brings firepower and smarts.
molodoy vs. SAW – So far he’s the highest-rated player at the event, in a limited sample size. molodoy has fit into this new-look FURIA lineup seamlessly, and he seems to be getting more and more confident.
Krimbo vs. BetBoom – BIG is coming off a letdown season and hasn’t had the best of starts here at FISSURE Playground either. This should be a competitive battle against BetBoom, however, and Krimbo’s individual skill sticks out in this spot.
Good luck!
Fissure Playground: Wednesday, July 16th
The matches start early in the AM. Here’s the full schedule:
Wildcard vs. FURIA
3DMAX vs. Rare Atom
GamerLegion vs. SAW
Lynn Vision vs. paiN
Virtus.pro vs. MIBR
BetBoom vs. HEROIC
TYLOO vs. Astralis
Complexity vs. BIG
It’s the second day at FISSURE Playground. It’s already been a spicy tournament with some upsets early on, and it’ll be interesting to see how things shake out on day two.
Top DFS Targets
Where should we be looking with our CS2 picks?
FURIA vs. Wildcard – We were surprised at how competitive Wildcard was against GamerLegion, even though it was still a loss in the end. That being said, we’re going to keep fading, as this is another tricky opponent in FURIA. The FalleN-captained team just went on a deep run at the major and is the stronger, more experienced team overall.
PR/REZ vs. SAW – It should be noted SAW made a nice impression on day one. If targeting GamerLegion though, it should be mostly PR and REZ who you turn to. They’re consistently the top individual performers for the team.
tN1R vs. BetBoom – HEROIC will try to bounce back after a disappointing loss to BIG. The team really needs to get the best out of tN1R, who typically brings a lot of firepower to the equation. Perhaps ithere will be some growing pains for HEROIC with the new-look starting five, which just integrated Griks and nilo.
Grim/hallzerk vs. BIG – It was a nice opening win for the North American organization on the opening day of the tournament. Both Grim and hallzerk made high impacts and will continue to be counted on heavily in the kill department against BIG.
Fissure Playground: Tuesday, July 15th
The matches start early in the AM. Here’s the full schedule:
GamerLegion vs. Wildcard
3DMAX vs. Lynn Vision
SAW vs. FURIA
paiN vs. Rare Atom
Virtus.pro vs. TYLOO
Complexity vs. BetBoom
Astralis vs. MIBR
HEROIC vs. BIG
Here is who are we targeting most on a player level:
GamerLegion vs. Wildcard – This looks like a mismatch from a macro level. Wildcard just underwent major changes to the roster, including the removal of the captain. On the other side, GamerLegion, the more talented team from top to bottom, does have a new fifth but one that is a highly-regarded up-and-comer (Kursy). PR and REZ are the main riflers that have been most reliable in the firepower department.
molodoy vs. SAW – FURIA has made a strong impression with the new-look lineup. YEKINDAR looks reborn in this fresh starting five, while molodoy has made an instant impact as the primary AWPer. We expect a victory for FURIA, and the upside molodoy has shown in limited action is tantalizing.

hallzerk vs. BetBoom – It’ll be nice to see how Complexity does now that the full lineup is back in action. hallzerk was not able to play at the recent major in Austin, and the team crashed out early. This should be a competitive matchup with BetBoom, but we like the impact hallzerk brings to the server.
tN1R vs. BIG – A player to watch in general. He burst on to the Tier 1 scene last season and has quickly become a core part of the HEROIC lineup. BIG disappointed last year, so we’re going to stay away from the Germans until they show us a reason to change course.
Good luck!
Fissure Playground Event Preview
The “new season” of Counter-Strike officially kicks off early on Tuesday morning.
It’s a relatively strong field, with 16 of the best CS2 teams facing off on LAN for a share of $1,000,000. The absolute best of the best, such as Vitality, Mousesports and Spirit, are not in attendance, but it should be a fun, competitive event nonetheless.
MONDAy, july 14th preview & plays
We have the Fissure Playground event starting up early on Tuesday, but before that we also have a few interesting-looking ESL matches on the schedule for Monday.
Here are the games we’re most excited about today:
Liquid vs. Sashi
fnatic vs. ESC
Marsborne vs. M80
There are some notable big-name teams taking part in some online qualifiers.
Which players should we be targeting most with our DFS picks on Underdog?
NertZ & Twistzz vs. Sashi – The early game pits Liquid against Sashi, and while the Danes are not pushovers, we’re not sure they have the firepower to keep up here. NertZ and Twistzz are the two primary fraggers for Liquid, who are the highest-ranked team in the qualifier.
blameF & jambo vs. ESC – Even with a stand-in, we expect a win for fnatic against the Polish team ESC, so blameF and jambo are of interest. blameF is a skilled rifler who carries a lot of upside, while jambo is relatively new to the team and is a highly-regarded AWPer.

Lake vs. Marsborne – In this North American battle, M80 will try to overcome Marsborne. The team recently replaced reck with HexT, so that will be an intriguing lineup development to track early on. On a player level, Lake stands out most in this matchup – he’s one of the most talented young players in the US.
