NBA DFS Top Pick – Drew Eubanks
Editor’s Note: Eubanks is a fine play, but due to all of the injury chaos, Caleb Love is my favorite value play on tonight’s slate.
If you’re looking for a value play early Wednesday morning, this is the one that stands out. Domantas Sabonis has already been ruled OUT (knee), which means Eubanks is going to get thrust into major minutes against Oklahoma City. Now, I’m not going to sugarcoat it—this is a brutal matchup. The Thunder are 14-1 for a reason. But here’s the thing: when you’re hunting for tournament-winning value, you’re not looking for safe. You’re looking for opportunity.
Eubanks is sitting at $4,200 on DraftKings with about a 24.0 fantasy point projection and an expected ~25 minutes. That’s cheap for someone who’s going to play borderline starter minutes at center.
Here’s what we know about Eubanks: he’s got a career 17% usage rate, and we’ve seen him seriously pop when he’s been given opportunity. When he was with Portland and San Antonio, there were games where he’d go for 15-10 with a couple of blocks in 28 minutes.
This season, he’s only played three games in limited action, averaging 6.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.0 block in 14 minutes per game. Now, extrapolate that out to 25 minutes tonight. You’re looking at something like 12 points, 5 rebounds, and a block or two. At $4,200, that’s 5.7x value. That’s the kind of number that separates your lineup from the field in GPPs.
The reality is this: Eubanks is going to be facing Chet Holmgren and the Thunder’s elite interior defense. He’s not going to dominate. But he doesn’t need to. He just needs to hit 20-25 fantasy points, and suddenly you’ve freed up a ton of salary.
As of this morning, Eubanks is worth the punt. Could things change later in the day if better value opens up? Absolutely. But based on what we’ve seen him do historically when given opportunity—and based on the fact that Sabonis is OUT and someone has to play center—Eubanks is a GPP play that makes too much sense to ignore.

NBA DFS Top Pick – Bennedict Mathurin
Disclaimer: This is a GPP play!
Nobody is playing Bennedict Mathurin again. And I’m sitting here asking myself: why? I took a shot at this guy the other night, and he almost went absolutely crazy. Yeah, he played only 25 minutes and had foul trouble—five fouls is going to dock you a few ticks—but here’s what matters: he dropped 33 fantasy points on a 42% usage rate.
Now fast forward to tonight. Mathurin’s healthy, he’s shaking off the rust, and I genuinely believe he’s going to play around 30 minutes against Charlotte. The Pacers coaching staff told us they’re monitoring him, and when Andrew Nembhard missed time a couple weeks ago, they said the same thing–and they let him play a ton.
At $6,000, he’s a mid-tier guard on a slate where everyone is chasing Jokic, Maxey, and Shai. That means sub-10% ownership. That means if he hits 30-35 fantasy points—which is absolutely realistic given the 42% usage we saw—you’re in a great spot.
Charlotte is ranked 26th in defensive rating. They’re middle of the pack in pace. The Pacers have a very high implied team total, which means the game script is going to be fast and high-scoring. That’s a direct tailwind for Mathurin’s usage and scoring opportunities.
