We’re set for another big Wednesday slate, and we’ve identified a four-leg parlay involving a quartet of stars that has the potential to pay some nice dividends.

Trae Young To Score 20+ Points

Young’s shot hasn’t come close to settling in yet, but the star guard has managed to average 20.8 points while adding 9.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per contest. Young is shooting a dismal 36.4% overall thus far, yet the matchup Wednesday could be just what the doctor ordered in terms of his struggles with efficiency.

The Nets are allowing 50.7% shooting to point guards, including 41.4% from 3-point range. Brooklyn has also allowed the second-most assists per contest (29.5, including 32.0 per home game), and Young averaged 27.3 points and 12.0 assists while shooting 46.9% (incl. 42.1% from behind the arc) in three games vs. the Nets last season.

Anthony Davis To Record A Double-Double

Davis has unsurprisingly been a double-double machine to open the season as the Mavs navigate life without Kyrie Irving. The legendary big man has double-doubled in all four games in the new campaign, averaging 25.0 points and 11.8 rebounds overall.

AD is also healthy – the minor Achilles issue that has him listed as probable for Wednesday notwithstanding – and he should once again approximate his robust 27.4% usage rate again vs. an aptly named Pacers team that’s averaging an NBA-high 111.5 possessions per contest.

Indiana has been decimated by injury and has surrendered the third-most points per game (127.7) while also giving up the seventh-most rebounds per contest (64.0). Myles Turner is no longer patrolling the paint for Indiana down low, either, and Davis enjoys a size and experience edge over 6-foot-9 Isaiah Jackson.

Lauri Markkanen Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds

If his first three games are any indication, Markkanen may be in for a career-best season. The veteran big man has been outstanding while putting up 34.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest, and he’s shooting 50.0%, including 42.4% from behind the arc, while generating a 28.8% usage rate in the process.

Markkanen is coming off having scored a career-high 51 points over 45 minutes against the Suns his last time on the floor Sunday, and he’s averaging a career-high 22.7 shot attempts per contest overall. Utah is implied for just under 116 points as of early Wednesday in a game with a projected total of 232.5 points, and Markkanen should be a driving force in Utah’s success.

Julius Randle Over 37.5 points + rebounds + assists

Anthony Edwards’ multi-game absence due to a hamstring injury is likely to benefit Randle the most if recent history is any indication. The big man sports a team-high 26.3% usage rate while averaging 25.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per 36 minutes with Edwards off the floor since the start of Randle’s T-Wolves tenure at the beginning of last season.

Randle has already opened the season in fine form, shooting 56.5%, including 42.9% from distance, while averaging 25.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.3 steals over 35 minutes per contest.

Those numbers could well be primed to inch even higher without Edwards, and Wednesday, he’s facing a short-handed Lakers squad he already lit up for 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists in only 30 minutes three games ago with Edwards alongside him.
