And Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger appears set to be under center for his team’s Sunday night showdown against the Chargers in Los Angeles.

NFL Week 11 Injuries
Baltimore Ravens: Jackson missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to illness, though it’s reportedly not related to COVID. Jackson returned to the practice field Friday without an injury designation, but on Saturday he was returned to questionable with the same non-COVID-related illness. Whoever starts under center for Baltimore on Sunday at Chicago will be without top WR target Marquise Brown (thigh), who has been ruled out. Running back Latavius Murray (ankle) also remains questionable. The SuperBook’s line tumbled from Ravens -6 Wednesday morning to -4.5 by Wednesday evening. By Friday night, the line was back to Ravens -6.5, but with Jackson back to being questionable Saturday, the number dialed back to -5. The total opened at 45, moved to 45.5, and made its way down to 44 by Thursday afternoon, where it remained Saturday night.
Chicago Bears: Wideout Allen Robinson (hamstring) is doubtful, and defensive end Akiem Nicks (ankle) has been ruled out. Further, linebackers Danny Travathan (knee) and Khalil Mack (foot) went on injured reserve. Chicago actually got as short as +4.5 from a +6 opener, went to +6.5 by Friday night, then dipped back to -5 on Saturday night.
Arizona Cardinals: Murray has missed his team’s last two games with an ankle injury and is in danger of missing a third, as he’ll be a game-time decision Sunday at Seattle. Also, Murray’s backup, Colt McCoy, is questionable with a pectoral injury, while wideout De’Andre Hopkins (hamstring) will miss his third straight game. Arizona opened -2.5 at The SuperBook, poked up to -3 early, then returned to -2.5 Tuesday afternoon. On Friday, the line ticked to Cards -2, then slipped another half-point to -1.5 on Saturday night. The total opened at 50.5 but was down to 47.5 Saturday.
Seattle Seahawks: Star safety Jamal Adams (groin) is questionable for Sunday’s home tilt against Arizona. The Seahawks opened at +2.5 at The SuperBook but were down to +1.5 on Saturday, mostly because of the Cardinals’ injury questions at quarterback (see above). The total is down 3 points from an opener of 50.5 to 47.5 as of Saturday night.
New Orleans Saints: Stud running back Alvin Kamara (ankle), who missed a Week 10 loss at Tennessee, is out again at Philadelphia. Left tackle Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder) and right tackle Ryan Ramczyk (knee) are also out, whle backup QB Taysom Hill (foot) is questionable. The Saints opened a 1-point ‘dog at The SuperBook, got as high as +3, then slipped back to 2.5 on Saturday night. The total is 42.5, tied for the lowest on the Week 11 board.
Dallas Cowboys: Wideout Amari Cooper caught a very untimely case of COVID, testing positive Friday. So Cooper not only is out for Sunday’s clash at Kansas City but Thanksgiving Day vs. Las Vegas, because of his unvaccinated status. Still, Dallas hasn’t moved off +2.5, where it has been since Monday evening, in a game that opened pick ’em at The SuperBook. The total, which opened at 54.5, nudged down from 56.5 to 56 Friday but was back to 56.5 Saturday night.
Kansas City Chiefs: RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) was activated from injured reserve Saturday and promptly listed as questionable for Sunday’s showdown against Dallas. Edwards-Helaire has been sidelined since Oct. 10. The Chiefs held firm as a 2.5-point favorite, where the line has remained all week.
Buffalo Bills: Wideout Cole Beasley (ribs) was questionable midweek for Sunday’s game vs. Indianapolis, but as of Friday had no injury designation. However, LB Tremaine Edmunds (hamstring) was a late add to the injury list and is questionable. The Bills moved from -6.5 to -7 late Sunday night and remained there as of Saturday. The total moved from 51 to 49 to 50 — all by Tuesday morning — and was sitting at 49.5 Saturday night.
Detroit Lions: QB Jared Goff (oblique) is doubtful for Sunday’s contest at Cleveland, and wideout Trinity Benson (knee) is questionable. But running back D’Andre Swift (shoulder), who is on the injury report seemingly every week, had no designation Friday. Detroit opened +9.5 at The SuperBook and went straight from +10 to +12.5 after Goff missed practice Wednesday. Despite some late-week, up-and-down movement, the spread was stuck at +12.5 as of Saturday night. The total dipped to 42.5 from a 44.5 opener and 45 high point.
Cleveland Browns: Running back Nick Chubb cleared COVID protocols, and QB Baker Mayfield (shoulder/foot/knee) had no injury designation Friday. However, wideout Anthony Schwartz (concussion) is out, and wideout Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) is questionable. Still, the with Chubb back and the Lions ailing (see above), the Browns opened -9.5 and had climbed to -12.5 Saturday. The total dropped from an opener of 44.5 to 42.5.
Green Bay Packers: Running back Aaron Jones (knee) on Friday was ruled out for Sunday’s game at Minnesota. Further, wideout Allen Lazard (shoulder) is doubtful. Green Bay dipped from -2.5 to -2 Wednesday at The SuperBook, then went to -1 Thursday. However, by Saturday night, the game was a pick ’em. The total is down to 47.5 from a 49.5 opener and 47 low point.
Pittsburgh Steelers: QB Ben Roethlisberger cleared COVID protocols Saturday and is expected to start Sunday night at the Chargers after sitting out his team’s 16-16 tie against the Lions in Week 10. However, defensive disruptor T.J. Watt (hip/knee) is out, as are defensive backs Joe Haden (foot) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (illness). Pittsburgh opened +3.5 at The SuperBook, hit +6 early Tuesday afternoon, then dropped to +5 late Tuesday afternoon. From there, the number bounced between +5 and +5.5, where it remained Saturday night despite news of Roethlisberger’s return. The total is 47.5.
Los Angeles Chargers: Star defensive end Joey Bosa was activated Saturday from the reserve/COVID list and should play Sunday against Pittsburgh. The Chargers have gone from a -3.5 favorite at The SuperBook to -5.5 as of Saturday night.
Tennessee Titans: Tennessee’s defense is dinged up heading into Sunday’s home game against Houston. Linebackers David Long Jr. (hamstring), Bud Dupree (abdomen), and Rashaan Evans (ankle) are out, while cornerback Janoris Jenkins (chest) is questionable. However, the Titans have been stable at -10 almost all week at The SuperBook, save for a few hours Tuesday at -10.5. The total Saturday night was 44.5.
San Francisco 49ers: Running back Elijah Mitchell (rib/finger) is doubtful Sunday at Jacksonville. Still, the 49ers have been at -6.5 almost all week at The SuperBook, up from the -5 opener. The Over/Under is 44.5.
Jacksonville Jaguars: As is the case of late, running back James Robinson (heel) is questionable. Jacksonville moved from +5 to +6.5 at The SuperBook, and the total is down to 44.5 from a 46.5 opener.
New York Jets: In a shoulder-shrugging move, Joe Flacco will start at QB this week, rather than Mike White, who was subbing for injured rookie Zach Wilson (knee). New York opened +3 and is at +3.5 Friday night at The SuperBook with a total of 44.5.
Washington Football Team: Tight end Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) is out Sunday at Carolina, and wideout Curtis Samuel (hamstring) is questionable. Washington opened +2.5 at The SuperBook and has spent most of the week at +3.5. The total on Saturday night was sitting at 43.5.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: WR Antonio Brown (ankle) will miss his fourth straight game, having been ruled out for Monday night’s home game against the New York Giants. TE Rob Gronkowski (back), who has sat out the past two games, didn’t practice Saturday and is carrying a questionable designation. He’s expected to be a game-time decision. The Buccaneers opened at -11 and remained there on Saturday night. The total dropped a point from an opener of 50.5 to 49.5.
New York Giants: RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Saturday and is questionable for Monday night at Tampa Bay, as is RB Devotae Booker (hip). WR Sterling Shepherd (quad) has been ruled out. New York remained an 11-point underdog, which was the opening number.
New England Patriots: As always, New England’s injury report reads like a grocery list when the fridge is running bare. But also as always, things aren’t that dire. Most of the listed players are expected to play Thursday night at Atlanta. Further, running back Damien Harris was not on that report, having cleared concussion protocol after a one-game absence. The Patriots moved from -6 to -7 to -6.5 at The SuperBook, while he total moved from 46 to 48, then to 47. Both the side and total remained unchanged as of Thursday morning.
Atlanta Falcons: Versatile running back (running back?) Cordarrelle Patterson will be a game-time decision Thursday night against New England. Patterson suffered an ankle injury in the Week 10 blowout loss at Dallas. Atlanta opened +6 and got to +7 at The SuperBook, before shortening to +6.5 Wednesday afternoon.
NFL Week 11 Weather
Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills: The forecast calls for breezy and likely wet conditions in Buffalo on Sunday. The weather is expected to be dry at kickoff, but the chance for precipitation jumps to 70 percent around halftime. Winds also will be manageable to start but increase to of 15-20 mph. The total dipped from 51.5 to 49 by Monday morning at The SuperBook, then ticked up to 50 by lunch hour Tuesday. It remained was down to 49.5 on Saturday night.
Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns: A couple of hundred miles west along Lake Erie, wet and breezy conditions are expected from the outset, with a 95 percent chance rain at the 1 p.m. ET kickoff and winds ranging between 10-15 mph. The SuperBook opened the total at 44.5, rose to 45, then receded to 42.5 by Friday afternoon, where it remained Saturday.
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans: Mother Nature will soak the field Sunday afternoon in Nashville, where there’s a 100 percent chance of rain, which is expected to stick around the entire game. Winds will be modest, though (less than 10 mph). The total is down a tick to 44.5 from a 45 opener at The SuperBook.
Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears: There’s a 40 percent chance of rain early Sunday in Chicago, though that should clear by kickoff (1 p.m. ET). However, breezes of 15-20 mph could persist in the Windy City. The SuperBook moved the total from 45 to 45.5 and back to 45 by Wednesday morning, then dipped to 44 by Friday afternoon.
San Francisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars: The temperature will be a fantastic 72 degrees Sunday in Jacksonville. But it could be a touch breezy, with winds of 10-15 mph. The total is down to 45 from a 46.5 opener.
NFL Week 11 Pros Vs Joes
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings: “Keep your eye on the Vikings-Packers game,” WynnBet senior trader Motoi Pearson said Saturday night, noting the public is on Green Bay, but the line move is toward Minnesota. “We’ve been seeing the ticket count rise on the Packers, and the numbers continue to respect the Vikings, moving from +2.5 to +1. We are not looking to protect a side in this game, but we’ll respect how the market moves right up until kickoff.”
Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears: Surely related to the questionable status of Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (illness), Baltimore was down to a 5-point favorite at TwinSpires Sportsbook on Wednesday night. “Sharp money on Bears +6 and +5.5,” TwinSpires trading analyst Zachary Lucas said, while noting public play on the Ravens. However, by Friday, it was apparent Jackson is very likely a go, and the Ravens were up to -6.5.
