Watt—Pittsburgh’s best pass rusher with 7 sacks and 18 QB hits this season—is recovering from surgery to repair a partially collapsed lung. He hasn’t missed regular-season time since 2022, and his absence is devastating for Pittsburgh’s defensive pressure.
Without Watt on the edge, Miami’s offensive line—which has been a liability all season—suddenly has breathing room. Tua gets more time. Achane gets cleaner running lanes. The entire Dolphins’ offensive game plan becomes easier to execute.
The Rodgers to Metcalf Connection
Aaron Rodgers delivered a vintage performance last week against Baltimore, completing all three of his deep passes (20+ air yards) for 121 yards to DK Metcalf. This is significant because Rodgers went the entire month of November without connecting on a single deep ball.
