NBA Predictions & Props Tuesday – Hawks vs Wizards
The Hawks are 9-4 since Trae Young suffered an MCL sprain on October 29. That’s not a typo. Atlanta got better without their All-Star point guard.
Jalen Johnson has become a legitimate star. The 23-year-old forward is averaging 22.4 PPG, 9.6 RPG, and 7.0 APG on 56.2% shooting this season. In the seven games without Trae? Those numbers jump to 22.0 PPG, 11.0 RPG, and 7.4 APG. He recorded a triple-double with 31 points, 18 rebounds, 14 assists, and 7 steals against Utah. He’s been unstoppable.
The supporting cast is elite:
- Kristaps Porzingis — 18.4 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 1.7 BPG (acquired from Boston)
- Nickeil Alexander-Walker — 19.3 PPG, shooting 46.5% from the field
- Onyeka Okongwu — 16.2 PPG, 7.4 RPG
- Vit Krejci — Went 7-for-10 from three against the Pelicans
Atlanta is 8-3 on the road this season. They’re not just competitive away from State Farm Arena — they’re dominant.
THE WIZARDS: HISTORIC COLLAPSE
Washington is 1-15 and spiraling. They’ve lost 14 straight games — the second-longest losing streak in franchise history. The franchise record is 16, which Washington has hit three separate times in the last two years.
Saturday’s loss to Chicago was pathetic. The Wizards led by 16 points and blew it, losing 121-120 after a failed final possession. They couldn’t even execute a simple inbound pass down the stretch.
The defense is historically bad:
- Defensive Rating: 125.2 (dead last in NBA)
- Opponent Rebounds Per Game: 50.6 (dead last)
- Opponent Turnovers: 11.6 per game (dead last — they can’t force turnovers)
- Net Rating: -16.6 (dead last)
They’re 0-6 at home this season.
Alex Sarr is the lone bright spot. The No. 2 overall pick is averaging 18.1 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 2.0 BPG on 50.7% shooting. He dropped 31 points on Boston and nearly had a triple-double against the Knicks. The kid can play. But he’s surrounded by nothing.
CJ McCollum (acquired in the July 2025 Poole trade) has been a disappointment — averaging just 14.2 PPG on below-average efficiency. Khris Middleton is healthy but not the difference-maker needed to save this season.
Hawks-Wizards INJURY REPORT — NOVEMBER 25, 2025
Hawks:
- Trae Young — OUT (right knee MCL sprain)
- Luke Kennard — QUESTIONABLE (left hip inflammation)
- Zaccharie Risacher — AVAILABLE (returned from hip contusion)
Wizards:
- Tre Johnson — OUT (left hip flexor strain)
- Marvin Bagley III — QUESTIONABLE (right hip contusion)
- Kyshawn George — QUESTIONABLE (illness)
Atlanta is only missing Trae Young — and they’ve been better without him.
HAWKS VS WIZARDS PREDICTIONS
The Hawks are -10.5 favorites, and that number feels low. Washington has lost by double digits in 8 of their last 10 games. They’ve been blown out by Minnesota (11 points), Toronto (30 points), Brooklyn (23 points), and Houston (23 points).
Atlanta’s offense is rolling at 117.2 PPG with elite ball movement. Jalen Johnson is going to attack Wizards’ interior all night. Porzingis is going to feast from the mid-range. Alexander-Walker is going to hunt mismatches. I lean toward Atlanta to cover.
HAWKS WIZARDS PLAYER PROPS Today – Expert Picks
There could be some fireworks in this one! Let’s check out the player prop bets.
Jalen Johnson Higher Than 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Our guy Keith Eyster is all over this one. He listed Johnson as his top prop pick for today, so I’m not going to steal his thunder.
Kyshawn George Higher Than 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
George has taken a huge leap forward this year. I wrote about him as one of my favorite NBA DFS picks today, and I’ll be hitting his props as well. He has a Q-tag today, so let’s hope he plays.
