Best NBA DFS Picks Today & NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice – Tuesday, 11/25
Who’s going to smash tonight? We’ll dive into our favorite NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, 11/25. There could be a ton of news that breaks later, but we’ll check out the best early NBA fantasy plays on the board.
NBA Fantasy Expert Pick Today – Jalen Johnson
We’re working with a small three-game slate here, which naturally concentrates the player pool.
Johnson has been absolutely incredible since Trae Young has been out. He’s going to be extremely popular on this small slate – there’s no way around that reality. But that being said, his popularity is completely warranted given the underlying production and matchup.
He’d be my first pick for cash games due to his extremely high floor, even at his elevated price point. When you combine that floor with his chalky ownership, I definitely want to play him in double-ups for sure. If he scores well enough compared to his high-priced peers, there might not be any way to avoid him in tournaments either – sometimes the chalk is just the right play.
Johnson has an absolute smash matchup against the Wizards, who have struggled defensively and played at a decent pace for what feels like years at this point. Washington consistently creates favorable fantasy environments for opposing players.
Check out this recent production – Johnson has scored at least 50 fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games. His usage rate is squarely in the mid-to-upper twenties percentage-wise, and he’s filling up the stat sheet like he never has before in his career.
Don’t overthink this one, especially for cash games. Sometimes the obvious play is the correct play, and Johnson fits that description perfectly on this small slate.
NBA DFS Pick Today – Kyshawn George
I’m buying the breakout on George this year. He’s simply in a different (and better) role than he was on the Wizards last season.
George never had an issue scoring the ball, he’s taking a lot of shots and playing major minutes, whcih is great. But he’s finding other avenues to accumulate DFS points this season.
George is averaging about three more rebound chances per game and roughly four more potential assists per contest.
Some of that goes hand-in-hand with the consistently good minutes, but it also shows he has a huge role on the team, leading the squad in potential assists per game and ranking third in rebound chances.
He has a Q-tag today. I’m hoping he plays, and I like the idea of correlating him with Johnson.
