Clippers Predictions and Preview
The Clippers’ depth chart reads like a “we-want-to-win-now” shopping list. At the top, it’s James Harden running point, Bradley Beal and Kawhi Leonard on the wings, John Collins at the four, and Ivica Zubac down low.
That’s a lot of veteran scoring, pick-and-roll craft, and rim presence — and when it clicks, it’s a nightmare matchup.
What’s crucial here is role clarity. Harden will marshal possessions; Beal and Kawhi will hunt their shots; Collins and Zubac combine for a heavy interior rebounding and pick-and-pop/roll threat.
The Clippers’ preseason looked like a work in progress — new pieces learning spacing and paint reads — but the upside is obvious.
When they move the ball and cut, defenses break. Their starters are rim-adjacent and able to create extra looks for each other, which means the Clippers won’t rely solely on one shot-creator to carry them.
Risks? Minute management and chemistry. Kawhi’s minutes are precious, and Collins needs lane space to operate without getting out of position.
If LA over-relies on isolation early, the Jazz can crowd the paint and force others to beat them from three. But on paper, this L.A. group is deeper, more veteran, and built to cover a near-double-digit spread on the road — especially if the Jazz are tinkering with rotations.
Jazz Predictions and Preview
With point guard Isaiah Collier out and Ace Bailey’s status in doubt, the Jazz are already in a world of hurt. Can someone free my guy Lauri Markkanen?
The Jazz want to play through Lauri while Kessler patrols the paint. That’s an attractive blueprint in theory: Kessler alters shots, Markkanen spaces, and Taylor Hendricks provides switchability.
The wrinkle is guard play. Utah could open with a makeshift backcourt that struggles to handle Harden’s craft or the Beal/Kawhi movement. That’s where the Jazz get brittle: there’s not a ton of talent and not much depth.
With Jordan Clarkson out of town, Keyonte George will have a huge role off the bench, and maybe we’ll see some rookie Walter Clayton Jr. in the spring.
Clippers vs Jazz Player Props and Free Picks Today
There are plenty of Clippers vs Jazz props to choose from on Underdog for Wednesday night’s slate of games. Let’s dive into the Los Angeles vs Utah predictions!
Bradley Beal Player Props and Free Picks – Higher Than 1.5 3PM
I’ve never been Beal truther. But in this matchup, he’ll look to start his LAC tenure on the right foot. I worry about a blowout, but Utah gave up the most three-pointers per game in the league last year, and they played at the fifth-fastest pace in the NBA.
Wakler Kessler Player Props and Free Picks – Higher Than 21.5 Points + Rebounds
The Clippers have been a brutal matchup for anyone over the past few years – they play slow and owned the league’s third-best defensive efficiency rating last season.
That being said, Kessler will dance with Ivica Zubac in the paint most of the night. Zubac does not stretch the floor at all, which should put Kessler in consistently good positions on the floor to grab rebounds.
