Josh Jacobs is one of our Thursday NFL alt props.

We’re heading into Week 2, and there are some very intriguing Thursday NFL Alt Props to hunt for in the Packers vs. Commanders Thursday Night Football game!

The beauty of alt prop line betting is that you can target the exact scenarios you’re most confident about.

For example, if you think Deebo Samuel is going to absolutely torch Green Bay’s secondary, why settle for his typical receiving yards line when you can bump it up to 50+ yards and get way juicier odds?

Our betting expert Justin Bales is here to break it all down. Check our NFL news hub for plenty of FREE content.

Thursday NFL Alt Props: Packers vs. Commanders Ladder Bets

The stars will be out on Thursday. Are the Packers the real deal after steamrolling the Lions? Will the Commanders repeat as a Super Bowl contender in 2025?

Josh Jacobs Rushing Yards Ladder

Jacobs didn’t look elite in Week 1, but I’m more encouraged by the volume than anything else. He posted 66 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries. He handled 19 of 21 running back carries against the Detroit Lions.

Jacobs found plenty of yards after contact in that game. He posted 55 of his 66 yards after contact. He also had one breakaway run for 15 yards.

Green Bay’s star running back gets a matchup against the Washington Commanders. They looked outstanding against the run in Week 1, but that isn’t something that I believe will be sustainable for them.

Washington added a few new faces to their defensive line, but they aren’t historically good run defenders. The Commanders allowed the second-most yards per carry (5.0) in the NFL last season.

Even if Washington is better against the run this season, it’s hard to imagine they’ll be better than an average unit. Green Bay always feels comfortable giving Jacobs heavy carries, and that should be the case once again as home favorites on a short week.

Where to bet: Josh Jacobs 80+ yards (+100) through 110+ rushing yards (+320) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook

Austin Ekeler Receptions Ladder

I initially was looking for receiving yards here, but FanDuel limited his numbers, so I’m shifting to receptions. Both make great options, and if they add to his receiving yards before the game, you can ladder those.

Ekeler is coming off a solid Week 1 performance. He posted 3 receptions for 31 yards on 3 targets. Most importantly, he ran 19 of the 26 running back routes against the New York Giants. He also caught two screens and a pass only a few yards downfield.

Ultimately, Ekeler is given high-conversion targets, and that’s great for his matchup against the Green Bay Packers. They were dominant against the Detroit Lions, but they allowed 14 receptions for 49 yards on 14 targets to Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.

Green Bay features an outstanding pass rush, and quick throws are one way to beat that. Generally, that leads to more targets for running backs, and that’s fully what I’m expecting for Ekeler this week.

Where to bet: Austin Ekeler 3+ receptions (-188) through 6+ receptions (+450) | Ladder at FanDuel Sportsbook
