Bengals vs Commanders Props: Top Picks
Jayden Daniels and Washington will do battle against the high-powered Cincinnati offense to put a bow on the second week of preseason action.
Jayden Daniels Higher Than 54.5 Passing Yards
It was clear that Daniels was too good for the preseason last year. He posted 45 yards on only 3 pass attempts against the New York Jets. He followed that up with 78 yards on 12 attempts against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.
The rookie went on to dominate the NFL, and he has a year under his belt now.
The Washington Commanders want to get their starters some playing time, which is why we can expect Daniels to play in this game. The question becomes: “How long does he play?”
Head coach Dan Quinn said Daniels and the starters will play “a few series.” Normally, coaches use the term “a couple of series” to refer to two, with “a few” meaning more than that.
I would expect two series here as I’m not banking strongly on a linguistic issue.
Still, Daniels should be able to beat this low of a total in two series, which is why I feel comfortable here.
Where to play: Jayden Daniels higher than 54.5 passing yards | 1.87x at Underdog
Tanner Hudson Higher Than 19.5 Receiving Yards
Hudson was one of the bigger surprises of Week 1 for the Cincinnati Bengals. He ran a team-high 22 routes. He also recorded 6 receptions for 62 yards on a team-high 8 targets against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tight end isn’t quite as straightforward as it was last week for the Bengals.
Mike Gesicki and Erick All Jr. are out again, but Noah Fant is expected to make his debut. Still, we can expect Hudson to find plenty of snaps in this game.
The veteran tight end has consistently been a bright spot throughout preseason games.
He saw limited snaps in 2024 but still posted 16 receiving yards in both games with more than 5 routes. He also averaged 34 yards per game from 2021-23.
