Best NASCAR Bets Today: Weekly Expert Picks and Predictions

Hunting for top AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 prop bets? Our Props team has locked in their favorite NASCAR prop picks for Sunday’s race.

Let’s break down the best value plays on the board ahead of race day at Dover Motor Speedway.

How To Win at Dover Motor Speedway

Winning the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Dover Motor Speedway—famously known as “The Monster Mile”—requires a precise blend of fearlessness, consistency, and technical discipline on its demanding concrete surface. So, who will win today’s race?

This one-mile, high-banked oval features 24 degrees of banking in the turns and 9 degrees on the straights, presenting a relentless challenge that punishes even the smallest mistake.

Success at Dover Motor Speedway hinges on maintaining momentum through corners, managing tire wear through long green-flag runs, and executing flawless pit stops to gain track position. With narrow racing grooves and high tire degradation, drivers must balance aggression with patience, choosing precise entry and exit points to maximize speed without overdriving.

Additionally, the track’s unforgiving walls demand mental toughness—go too hard, and you’re likely to pay the price. Ultimately, victory here goes to drivers with unwavering focus, strategic adaptability, and the skill to wring every inch of performance from their car lap after lap.

Who Won the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 Last Year?

Last year, Denny Hamlin won the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on April 14, 2024. Driving the No. 11 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, Hamlin executed a flawless overtime restart to secure his second win of the season and the 53rd of his Cup Series career.

The race was extended to 276 laps due to overtime, and Hamlin led 27 laps total, including the most important ones at the end.

Chase Elliott finished second, just 0.206 seconds behind Hamlin in a tight finish. Ross Chastain crossed the line third, followed by William Byron in fourth and Ty Gibbs in fifth.

Shane van Gisbergen claimed the win in the 2025 Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday, holding off a late surge after starting from pole and leading 97 of the 110 laps. In a tense final stage marked by four restarts within the last 11 laps, van Gisbergen made the bold choice to stay on his older tires, then defended fiercely to secure victory.

Chase Briscoe finished second, followed by Elliott, Michael McDowell, and Christopher Bell, rounding out the top five. The win was van Gisbergen’s third road-course victory of the season and his fourth career Cup Series road-track win, tying a modern-era record previously set by Jeff Gordon.

William Byron leads the Driver’s Standings with 668 points, with Elliott on 654 and Kyle Larson at 624.

So, who will win today’s race? Hamlin and Larson are +500 favorites to win the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 this year. Ryan Blaney is at +700, and Byron is at +750.

Chase Elliott Top 3 Finish

Elliott is one of the most technically refined and versatile drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series, with a proven track record on a wide range of circuits, including high-speed ovals like Texas Motor Speedway, home of the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400.

Known for his smooth driving style and excellent throttle control, Elliott consistently finds speed in long green-flag runs while preserving tire life—an essential skill on Texas’ abrasive 1.5-mile surface. His ability to maintain momentum through wide, sweeping corners while minimizing fall-off gives him an edge as the track rubber builds up.

Paired with his Hendrick Motorsports team’s consistent ability to deliver fast, well-balanced intermediate-track setups, Elliott is always in the mix at races that demand both patience and speed.

Beyond his raw driving skill, Elliott brings elite race management and composure under pressure, especially in late-race scenarios where strategy and restarts become critical.

He’s shown he can navigate multi-lane traffic, time runs with precision, and make bold moves without overdriving—an essential formula at Texas, where clean air is valuable but difficult to hold.

Elliott has also been on a strong run of form in 2025, including a runner-up finish at this year’s AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400. With his current momentum, team chemistry, and proven success on 1.5-mile tracks, he has every ingredient needed to secure another Top 3 finish at Texas. He’s one of my best NASCAR bets today.
