Pat Freiermuth Receiving Yards Ladder
Freiermuth’s quietly been one of the most efficient players in the NFL this season. He owns 50 receptions for 508 yards and 6 touchdowns on 58 targets. He had his best game a few weeks ago, posting 6 receptions for 68 yards and 1 touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.
We haven’t seen a ton of upside from Freiermuth because of a lack of volume this season. We know he can complete this ladder if given the volume, though. This is the exact type of matchup he could see a few extra targets in.
Freiermuth will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs this week. They’re allowing a league-high 74.6 receiving yards per game to tight ends. The Chiefs are also giving up 6.4 receptions on 8.2 targets to the position this season.
We’ve consistently seen tight ends find elite volume against Kansas City, and Freiermuth is already a player who can do a lot with a little. He’ll continue to run most of his routes out of the slot, and he makes an outstanding option on this slate.
What to Bet: Pat Freiermuth 25+ receiving yards through 80+ receiving yards
Dalton Schultz Receiving Yards Ladder
Schultz hasn’t had nearly as much success as most were expecting this season. He owns 48 receptions for 482 yards and 2 touchdowns on 76 targets. He’s topped out at 66 yards, although that was on only 3 receptions (4 targets).
Schultz should see a larger role in the Houston Texans’ offense with Tank Dell injured. He ran the second-most routes of the season last week, posting 5 receptions for 45 yards and 1 touchdown on 8 targets. Granted, Dell played the majority of the snaps, but I doubt the tight end’s targets were a fluke.
Schultz gets a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this week. They’re allowing 5.6 receptions on 7.4 targets to tight ends this season. The Ravens are also giving up the sixth-most receiving yards (61.4) per game to the position.
The Texans are underdogs in this game, and they should be throwing throughout. Nico Collins will continue to see an elite target share, but Schultz is likely to be second behind him. He could see 10+ targets in this game, and this is a great spot for him to find success.
What to Bet: Dalton Schultz 40+ receiving yards through 100+ receiving yards
