We asked our Props analyst, Justin Bales, to come up with his best NFL ladder bets for Week 12.

If you’re not familiar with this kind of play, a ladder bet is essentially betting on a prop at multiple lines with the odds getting progressively larger the further up the ladder you go.

We’ve done the research for you here and below we’ll dive into all of the rationale for our best NFL ladder bets for Week 12.

Tommy DeVito Passing Yards Ladder

DeVito hasn’t played a single snap in 2024, but he jumped Daniel Jones and Drew Lock on the New York Giants depth chart this week. We know he isn’t an elite quarterback, but he showed some flashes as a rookie.

DeVito threw for 1,101 yards with 8 touchdowns and 3 interceptions across nine games (six starts) last season. He recorded 175+ passing yards in four of his six starts. He also topped out with 246 yards against the Washington Commanders.

DeVito gets an outstanding matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. They’re allowing the third-most passing yards (264.1) per game this season. The Bucs are also giving up 7.5 yards per attempt this season.

The Giants weren’t afraid to give DeVito a major role as a rookie, as he saw 43 dropbacks against the New Orleans Saints. I don’t believe they’re going to be overly cautious in this game either.

One key factor is that Tampa Bay struggles to guard the running back out of the backfield, giving DeVito an easy outlet for yards. The Giants are also nearly touchdown underdogs in this game, and the second-year pro should see plenty of opportunities to find yards.

What to bet: Tommy DeVito 175+ passing yards  through 250+ passing yards

Josh Jacobs Rushing Yards Ladder

Jacobs looked rejuvenated in Green Bay, and he’s in the midst of a solid season. He boasts 838 yards and 4 touchdowns on 176 carries through 10 games. He boasts 120+ rushing yards in 2 of those 10 games, including a 151-yard performance against the Indianapolis Colts.

I don’t want to harp on the weather too much, but it’s a major factor in this game. It isn’t supposed to be bad weather, meaning both teams should be able to throw the ball, but it’s expected to be extremely cold (44 degrees). That’s going to give a small boost to a physical runner like Jacobs.

The Green Bay Packers running back gets a difficult matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. They’re only giving up 79 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs. They’re also only giving up 21 carries per game, though.

Some running backs have found success against San Francisco, and this is a volume play. The Packers are 5.5-point favorites as the 49ers deal with injuries. They’ve shown they’re willing to give Jacobs 30+ touches in a game, and that could be the case again this week.

What to bet: Josh Jacobs 70+ rushing yards through 120+ rushing yards

Alec Pierce Receiving Yards Ladder

Pierce is one of the most underrated deep threats in the NFL. He owns 26 receptions for 590 yards and 4 touchdowns on 43 targets this season. He’s recorded 80+ receiving yards in 3 of his 11 games, missing once with 74 yards.

Pierce is the deep threat for the Indianapolis Colts, as he enters this game with an elite 22.1 aDOT. He boasts receptions for 60, 44, 65, 32, and 39 yards on the season. He’s also posted 25+ receiving yards in 7 of his 11 games.

Pierce gets an elite matchup against the Detroit Lions this week. They’re allowing a league-high 190.3 receiving yards per game to opposing wide receivers. The Lions are also giving up a league-high 15.7 receptions on 25.4 targets per game this season.

Anthony Richardson isn’t a great passer at this point, but he has elite arm strength and can deliver a deep ball. That’s exactly what we need from Pierce, and he has the potential to complete this ladder with only one reception.

The odds are ridiculous for 80+ receiving yards this week.

What to bet: Alec Pierce 25+ receiving yards through 80+ receiving yards
